I want to see part 3 of radio lore for TCM
The concessions that a killer has to give to the survivors – “OMG STOP CAMPING AND TUNNELLING!!¡¡!!¡” – is why I stopped playing.
The concessions are there to fill in the gaps that the devs left for not thinking through the hook system. With a survivor hooked, there's nothing to stop the killer from just wedging himself in front until the survivor dies. With a survivor unhooked, there's nothing to stop the killer from chasing after him, except for a five-second immunity that the devs apparently slapped on in the absence of a proper solution.
There are aspects of dbd's gameplay that I prefer over tcm's. But what wins me over to tcm overall is that every time a victim is killed or escapes, it feels earned and it feels satisfying. It doesn't feel like something that might not have happened had this concession or that concession been slightly more or slightly less generous.
Been saying it for years, DBD has the worst community ever. Survivors are some of the most entitled people I have ever seen, doesn’t help that bhvr treats them like a spoiled child and constantly gives them what they want. While killers get screwed all the time with nerfs.
