Dead By Daylight posted a developer update on their official forums today, detailing all the changes planned from the public test build to the live release for the mid chapter update, which is headlined by the anti camping self unhook mechanic, and the Skull Merchant rework! They listed a grace period before the anti camping progress kicks in, some buffs to the Skull Merchant drones to improve them, and more! The Mid Chapter live release is most likely next week.   8. As a hag main I am scared of this anti camping. If they trigger my trap under hooked survivor and I teleport and start to chase them in area of hooked player will that count as camping.😢

To me the skull merchant is still my least favorite character, I dont have any trouble using her, the problem for me is that she is boring but they are moving in the right direction fixing the 3 gen issue. I play both killer and survivor equally almost and as killer I still wont be using her much unless her power is completely overhauled to make it fun especially in chase.

  14. i like how they are trying to stop her from three gens yet the maps always have gens super close to each other. why the developers did not mess with gen placement i'll never know, they could have done a simple rework for her while simultaneously moving gens much farther apart.

  15. Even if you learn the most optimal way to use drones she’s still going to be a rare pick, way to much effort for the weak ass power you get in return, hold W is the easiest counter to her in chase and the drones are completely useless for setups

As a current skull merchant main who hated her rework her buffs were so important they addressed everything with the rework and now she actually feels good, i mostly used background player for hook sabos since it took forever to actually get in place for a flashlight blind (even as killer i just turn around and pick up and they rarley get the flashlight save) so this buff was very nice…. sad that furtive chase got a good rework meanwhile hangmans trick… exists

  20. Anti camping is uselles, as any player with a brain would proxy camp anyway. Background player still is a bad perk but i brought the character gor the skins so it does not matter for me.
    Skull Merchant was fine. It does not need a buff until players learn how to play her. Many still try to 3 gen wit her at ptb.

  22. The only prob that can't be fixed with the camping. It doesn't change basement campers since they are considered far enough way standing above in the shack or just outside the shack just as it has always been. Although the rest of the stuff they are doing in the patch is good so we'll see how this works out when the patch is released.
