Dead By Daylight posted a developer update on their official forums today, detailing what initial tweaks they are making to the broad changes to the game introduced in the latest mid chapter update. There’s a few perk changes in here, the return of the Clown (back from his recent strike having gone to Montreal for #JusticeForMaurice protesting), changes to the orange glyph challenges, and more!   1. So my take is: As always, devs are survivor biased. Their constantly whining on reddit, the forums and twitter and their regular dcing was apparently succesful. Buffing mettle of man has to be the most stupid decision ever. I thought they wanted to shorten chases. Enjoy now not having to hit every survivor 3, but 4 times instead. All other killer nerfs are stupid too, but the mettle of man buff takes the cake. No buffs to other killer perks, great. Just nerf goddamn blight, spirit and nurse. other killers arent the problem.

    Still no buffs to sadako or trapper. The balancing department in bhvr is a joke

  3. Ok so I am really really reaching here but apparently stranger things have been confirmed to come back in and a new chapter is in the works apparently what if THIS IS A MAJOR IF the new blood point code is a hint it was “FINN” spelled like Finn Wolfhard just a thought I had

    Ah, yes. Injuring 1-3 survivors, even if they are permanently injured basicly still lets this perk be a dead perk and when all 4 are injured, it's "nearly as potent" as they say. So, almost exactly half of it's value is "nearly as potent" now. And as soon as one survivor is dead, it's a dead perk.
    Eh, I don't like where this is going again. But hey, as long as every swf group can bully killers and take all their fun away, it's fine huh.

  5. The desperate attempts of a corrupt company to save a cash cow thriving off a mislead and confused community that's slowly starving. Depressing. Miss the state of this game when I first started playing years ago.

  6. Playing Legion and going against them and understanding Thanatophobia effects on both sides I think the perk should be indeed rewarding for injuring as much as possible survivors but with the actual numbers and seeing how it’s easy to heal (mostly medkits) I would suggest this change:

    For each injured survivor a 3/3,5/4 % speed regression will be applied to the team with and additional 3/3,5/4 % affecting the injured survivor only.

    Basically keeping the 20% but still keeping a fair value in-game, punishing survivors for being careless or overconfident and actually allows healthy survivors to not be as punished by it’s teammates mistakes as they deserves.

    What are your thoughts about this guys?

  7. I’m fine with these changes especially the thana one cause even though I didn’t mind it I saw MANY people complain about it and understood why they be so annoyed with it. But I am sad that the matchmaking incentive won’t be back cause I was really relying on that for bp and since they removed it killer queues are outrageously long it wasn’t until today I was able to have somewhat normal killer queue time.

  8. Dunno if I like those changes Thana got hit too hard imo and the pain res/dms combo being back isn't great either.

    Mettle of man change is whatever it's not overly run anyway.

    Wouldve liked to see comment on tunnel/camp and maybe putting DS back up to 5 seconds.

  9. As I warned, the post blood point rework won't be so easy, as they were relying on the matchmaking bp incentives. Which now don't work, and people stil lneed to pay 20k for prestige and the add ons they might have lost on the pre patch prestige.

    BP grind until then. With survivors making more bp than killers by a few k without sacrifices 4x, in a long game.

    Getting those rare add ons will be rather hard now. Before with 40-50k bp, you can do a level 50 blood web and get all kinds of goodies. If not, another try and another try, and you'll get some reds and purples. Now there is not much blood web devouring and you have to get through a lot of lower levels before the purples and reds come out.

    I got a lot of my killers to prestige 3, so I have plenty of builds to try out. But the killers that got to prestige 3 now by sacrificing their add ons right on patch day, will take an extremely long time to build up at 20-35k bp a match as killer.

  10. In both my killer and survivor games, thano really didn’t feel very strong. I’ve been running pentimento. Feels like a bit of an overreaction to me. Unless you’re playing a Legion or Plague game. But those killers would always run thano anyways so no change there.

  11. You know that scene from The Boys where Homelander, during a day dream, lights up his laser eyes n cuts through a crowd of ppl?? That's Behavior cutting down perks left n right leaving the game itself ironically DEAD by Daylight

  12. The MoM change did absolutely nothing to improve it. Yes you can get it more reliably but what's the point if you just lose it if you do anything. The conspicuous action thing is fine for BT and OTR cause those are meant to be anti tunnel perks. MoM is a perk meant to reward you for helping out a teammate. Kind of a crap reward if you can't hang onto it for a clutch situation

  13. Hello Paulie, I wanted to ask an off topic question about the DLC Nightmare of Elm Street. Will the developers ever bother with this DLC again, add skins or change anything like that? It is kinda sad because Freddy and Quentin are the only survivors without skins. And as you can see in many many many reddit posts and posts on dbd forum, many members of community are complaining about Freddy's power, skin and everything related to the license. I think Behaviour could fix Freddy in some way due to the massive changes in DBD last month.
