  2. It’s a licensed collaboration with that failed rival game VideoHorrorSociety (VHS)! We’re gonna get one of their killers in our game. Then DBD will just collect killers from all their dead rival games. We’ll end up with lots like the Hitch Hiker from TCM and other killers from the games you content creators all sampled. It’s like DBD is saying “Ah yes, all your creations didn’t fail! They were simply sucked into the Entity’s Realms!”

  5. Idk if anyone else seen this but it's a bit of a stretch. The "PTB" screenshot has two dots and a line underneath it. Did a quick morse code search and it spells "I.T". Plus the new clown skin in the rift is something related maybe. Last rift was toy themed and chucky was put into the game.

It's realistic to release new content every 6 weeks, and even more often than that, if they did more licensed Legendarys — both additional characters from chapters, as well as smaller horror IPS that don't have chapters (CryptTV). I thought that was the plan, but I imagine disappointing Legendary sales have slowed them down. If they simply added Legendarys you own to your character-select screen (maybe at the bottom?) instead of only hiding them behind cosmetics, the feeling of value would go up, and sales would improve a lot. I want to scroll though all my characters, damn it! People get ADDICTED to filling out their Fortnite locker with new people. Wake up, Behavior. Please?

  8. I'm going with FNAF. Despite the security feed reference, my focus is the two in-line bright dots that can be seen above the "B" in PTB near the static line. They look like Freddy's eyes in the darkness, prove me wrong…

  11. Completely reaching but it could Ethan winters as a Survivor and one of the Bakers as a killer. Alot of parts in RE7 happen through flashbacks using VHS tapes and Lucas is always watching Ethan through CRTs.

  12. A bit late but, just personally, I don't think it's a teaser. However, if this IS a teaser it would fit in with BHVR's classic "so random and small that almost nobody is going to notice" teaser. As for the people jumping in and saying "IT"S FNAF", look, I've been asking for that for 4 years now and still am but, I'd see that WAY more for the Anniversary or Fall chapter over anything.

    I also really can't see this being another licensed chapter because it'd be kind of crazy to see 5 licensed chapters in a row so, as of this moment, my eggs are in the "next chapter is original" basket.

  16. I’m sorry but lights out mode sound awful. No perks no add ons no vision = no players in that game mode. Seriously who wants to play with no perks. Took them 7.5 years to come up with a lights out mode FOR 1 WEEK

  19. I 100% realize it won't be, but if the new chapter somehow turns out to be a hotline miami collab (the image corruption reminds me of the trailer of both games), i'll probably go into a coma fron excitement, then wake up from said coma because there's no way I would miss something like that.
    (Hell, since im speculating here, after rewatching the second game's trailer, it even flashes the screen with the RGB stripes/streaks present in CRT televisions or monitors.)

  31. I’m really hoping for a really good original chapter, we’ve gotten a lot of licensed stuff that hasn’t been bad but not the best things they’ve designed. I’d like to see BHR try things they’ve never tried before

  34. My first thought when seeing it up close was the black looks kind of textured? Like it might be black paint? i.e. some kind of thing where they have blacked out a security camera (maybe after breaking it?), and we're seeing the result / receiving end on an old monitor?

  36. I feel that distorted image could low-key be Slenderman. And this character can count as an original chapter! Technically we don't know exactly who is holding his license (correct me if im wrong).

  39. I don't know if has been mentioned, however, this PTB logo is giving me "outlast/the outlast trials" vibes. feels like I need night vision to see what's there, but then, could that Link with the three aliens/soider theory? idk

  40. Few days ago, when we got Alan Wake, I was about to say: well, having him is the second best thing happening, because now starts the tinfoil talk for the next chapter and that's the best!
    Honestly I didn't realize about the twitching PTB image… You don't miss anything, Paulie! I'm with you that must be an original one, too many licensed in a row and the next one should be licensed too for the anniversary.
    But… DbD has behaved odd lately: big franchises one after another, new game modes… It wouldn't be so crazy to ponder a new licensed chapter. And there's a feasible reason to that: Behaviour has to come up with new killer mechanics, and more original killers means less innovative powers for renowned characters. Then again, maybe they hope to sell original ones for their mechanics, and the licensed for the fame.
    In case it is original… maybe the killer is a streamer digging for fame (kinda The Trickster), or the owner of a VHS rental store who's filming snuff movies.
    Nonetheless, don't we have TVs enough in the game yet? I feel more likely it may be new content related to Saw chapter (yes, John Kramer, the man watching it all!). Poltergeist or V/H/S, as other have suggested, would be mind-blowing and totally unexpected.
