  1. Nobody should be harassed for being who they are. You are 100% right. And no voice actor should claim the character they voiced doesn’t suit their desires and expectations. You’re a voice actor, you got paid for your voice. Not your opinion on character design. Shut up and accept the opportunity.

  2. I meeeeeean DbD had to have said “hey, we have a new villain we need a voice for can you fit the bill?” Plus they give you lines to say, a ton they want for the character and they had to have given a description of said character in some way. I’ve auditioned for roles where there was no concept art but they gave us a description to read and how they wanted the character to sounds.

  3. not entirely true, she doesnt believe the devs are transphobics since the unknown was meant to mimic its victims in a deformed way. rather she was upset she was completely kept out of the loop to provide criticism in its creation as the look of the model and the actors history could be used for transphobic motives by transphobes. which has since been proven true as its being used to attack her and the community.

  4. I don’t understand why they got mad, the unknown isn’t a set person or gender its a thing that inhabits the people it kills. The monster in a mini skirt is just one of its victims as are all of its differing skins. This is just a game we should all(including the VA and transphobes) grow up and move on.

  5. I don't think this person is being harassed for being trans I think it's more so for trying play the victim card after someone gave them an opportunity others would probably die for but hey that's just my opinion 🤷

  6. The voice actor in this situation shouldn't be complaining about voicing a monster In a video game where you get chased by monsters.
You shouldn't care about how your personal life reflects in the character BECAUSE IT'S FICTION!! "The monster in a skirt" is a cosmetic choice that you have to grind / pay money to unlock; Obviously it's going to be weird. Unfortunately a part of acting is playing characters that you sometimes don't like or resonate with. You still got paid, You still got your name in the credits and if you didn't try to play the pity party you would have gotten referenced to other companies who would have loved your voice! But now you just seem too problematic to work with.

  7. Although you are right nobody should be harassed for any reason. The unknown isnt human it doesnt have a gender. Its an evil being the embodies those whos lives its taken. Idk what the voice actor was thinking when they were wondering why the evil being villian they voiced had nothing to do with transgenderism. Probably because its a horror game and doesnt need to dive into those things it just needs to be spooky and fun.
