You know, I never thought about the impact streamers had on their younger audience. There does need to be safeguards put in place for cases like this sooner rather than later. We as a people need to catch up with the changing times or else we’ll have quite a situation on our hands.

They don't have the right to do background checks… but maybe they should try and get that right if they want to partner with someone. As an extra safeguard. Content creators – once they reach a certain point, they need to be vetted.
No matter what, kids are always gonna lie about their age to use these platforms and interact with people. Nothing can stop kids using crap they shouldn't – unless their parents step up, but it's kinda insane to expect parents to oversee everything their kid does. Especially if they work.
It's not our job its the parent's job
