  1. I hope this movie is made very well because the game just isn't it for me anymore. The game isn't scary and the game is severely unbalanced. Plus the community drove me away from the game. I do like dbd for it's lore and it's characters though. This movie can explore the ecosystem and possibly more about the entity. This movie can actually be scary where the killer feels like a threat to the survivors with brutal kills and each dbd killer having there unique abilities to use to their advantage. It can create suspense without the limitations of game censorship and I doubt survivor rules will be applied to a legitimate horror film. I even have a feeling that there might be some spider verse vibes because of the possibility of licensed killers appearing from the game like Myers and others since blum house worked on those films or they could simply be cameos or references. Within the lore the entity pulls in multiple killers from different timelines and dimensions then places them in it's realm.

  2. 50 Cent has been talking about adapting Saints Row forever but I know that probably won’t happen and if it did, Hollywood would just put their work spin on it and base it off the most recent game because “modern audiences.”

  3. It's a game that could easily be a franchise and even create crossovers. It's about an entity that uses killers to hunt people it abducts and to feed and drive the people insane to the point of becoming killers as well. Definitely worth looking into lore wise.

  4. This could be very good depending on how the story is done. A lot of the killers and survivors have really good backstories, and some are direct rivals for one another, trapped in a realm created by a god like creature that can pick and choose whatever it wants from the multiverse

  5. I am sticking out last of us cause I am a fan of the game – want to see it end. But it avoided the main story and was full of “the message” when it didn’t need to. NOT watching season 2

  6. Nooooope!!! Don't trust this! Guaranteed the movie will be woke garbage. You already see fucking pride flags everywhere while playing the game so I don't see how the movie will be or could be any good. It's a shame too because this could be great but it won't be. Just more pandering bullshit incoming.

  7. oh this is very easy to adapt. I think if they took the plot structure of PREDATORS but replaced the predators with the killers as the protagonists need to work together to escape. Its basically a slasher film with multiple killers. If they only focus on a select few I think it can work.

  8. Some of the killers are interesting story wise. Some are not. I mean a couple are straight up homages to existing horror villains. Though an entity pulling people into a sort of kill zone with a killer could kinda work if it was a big area and they kept that a mystery. Just an idea. They could easily tell the origin stories of a particular killer. Having multiple ones in one movie would just get bloated if you ask me. It would work a lot better as a sort of anthology series.

  9. ZOMBIE’S ATE MY NEIGHBORS would do well on the big screen. The source material is fun and PG-13. Loved that game on SNES as a kid. They released an HD upgrade on X-BOX recently.

  10. The concept will be very easy to adapt and it comes with a rich pool of characters that can all very easily have their own franchise films running alongside the main franchise, just like The Conjuring only with more variety and far more interesting characters.

Behaviour has created a very unique lore for DBD which over the years has continued to get evermore interesting.

I love DBD and have been waiting a long time for this to happen, so I am very happy indeed.

  11. It'll be a cabin in the woods kind of movie, most of the killers in that video game are in the woods with a couple of buildings. It may work as something like don't breathe, without all the weird s*x stuff

  12. I used to play that heck outta Resident Evil when it first came back in late 90s… But that silent Hill had me putting down my controllers specially when the handset started vibrating (was new back then) scared the bejesus couldn't play it lights off 😆

  13. Just make it so that the Entity is making them go through loads of trials, they get through a gate only to be hunted by a different killer each time. Then they finally realise they’ve never left the realm and I dunno, one of them ends up becoming a killer or something.

  14. StarCraft, mass effect, another shot at Warcraft, Diablo, destiny, a proper Halo. Those are the games I would love to see come to life on the silver screen or long form narrative like streaming. They hall have the narrative for long term storytelling easy 5-10 season. I'm all for horror video game movies though at least the classics, there's not much story that can't fit into a film trilogy. Would be too much of a stretch to do long term storytelling like the last of us where you get these nonsense filler episodes that do nothing to expand the universe just explore characters that die in the same episode 🤦

  15. Anyone else want a manhunt movie…or just me? I think it would have fit pretty well with the hostle and saw period of horror movies. Obviously that time has passed, but I still think the material would make a fun action, slasher, exploitation movie.

  16. There was for the longest time murmurs about "Left 4 Dead" movie?
Is JJ Abrams still bound to Portal and Half-Life movies, maybe even Left 4 Dead?
It might have been a final to Half-Life 2: Episode 3, only in movie form….

  17. I think the character kate denson would be the absaloute perfect protagonist for a dbd movie, she has a history of fighting against the main antagonist (the entity) and she also dosent stray too far from the average horror protagonist you'd see
