I was very inspired by @firsencounterassault’s work and wanted to make this concept of welcome home being a DLC for dead by daylight. I hope you enjoy!

  1. So I was told by a friend of mine that you are…. Wally Darling?

I uh, hmmm. I’ll have to go over your killer resume and files with the Entity before you get confirmed. Just to be sure that is

  2. DBD needs to add a chase theme like this. That rising toy glockenspiel type sound is a really pleasant unsettling theme. Would be great if they added a toy killer but I can also imagine this theme working for someone like IT as well

  3. I have a thought that if he were to pick up survivors, it would act similarly to both Pinhead and Sadako's pick up animations; puppet strings come out of the sky to pick up survivors much like Pinhead's hook chains while the strings hold them in place while he's walking much like Sadako's carrying animation.

  4. wait i have an idea with the recent update from the welcome home website, wally is the cause of people having very bad nausea and hallucinations with invisible ink, so imagine his power is putting ink on people making them have hallucinations of him walking towards them or having random terror radius appear out of no where (oblivious status basically), and to end it, you have to answer the toy phone that’s appears around the map to stop the effects

  5. I know Wally physically can't be a killer cuz he's too small but this would be so cool genuinely

Add ons: this is very creative, the whispers and the ringing phone add on a lot and relate to Wally and Welcome home a lot. It almost feels like it's supposed to be Wally whispering to you (if that is supposed to be it that's very cool!) The build up is unsettling but the chase itself is very nerve wracking! Very good work I'm gonna listen to this a lot everyday <3

  6. Killer Profile: Wally Darling – The Neighbor

    Background:

Wally Darling was once the beloved host of the defunct children's TV show "Welcome Home." With his friendly demeanor and penchant for arts and crafts, he brought joy to countless young viewers. However, fame proved fickle, and the show was canceled, leaving Wally bitter and resentful. In his desperation, he resorted to dark rituals to regain his lost popularity. One such ritual, performed in a fit of rage, inadvertently connected him to the Entity's realm, where he was transformed into a malevolent entity himself.

    Appearance:

Wally Darling is a three-foot-tall puppet with a mischievous grin on his face. His eyes are his most striking feature, eerily expressive and always seeming to follow his victims' gaze. He's adorned with colorful and tattered clothing, remnants of his former joyful self. Thin puppet strings dangle from his limbs, which he uses both for movement and in his gruesome attacks.

    Main Ability: "Puppeteer's Gaze"

Wally Darling's malevolent gaze can manipulate survivors' actions. By channeling his dark powers, he can temporarily blind survivors for a few short seconds, forcing them to look at him even when they try to look away. Once fully channeled, Wally can use his broken puppet strings to attack survivors. Holding the main ability button again will disable Puppeteer's Gaze, triggering Gaze of Submission can also disable Puppeteer's Gaze.

    Secondary Ability: "Gaze of Submission"
Activate the ability, and survivors within a certain radius have their vision distorted, making it challenging to see clearly. Survivors affected by the Gaze of Submission suffer from Hindered status effect, slowing their movement speed. They also lose the ability to see other survivors or objects outside their immediate vicinity.

    Perks:

    Craftsman's Delight:

Your affinity for arts and crafts has sharpened your destructive capabilities.

Gain a token each time you hook a survivor.

Spend a token to sabotage a generator instantly, causing a loud explosion, 6%/12%/18% of instant regression of progress and blocking off the generator for 5/10/15 seconds. The number of tokens needed increases with each use, starting at 2 needed and going up by one each time you spend a token.

    String Manipulation:

Your mastery over puppet strings allows you to exert control over survivors.

Whenever a survivor unhooks another survivor, their aura is revealed to you for a limited time.

While String Manipulation is active, you can pick up downed survivors from 5/10/15 feet away.

    Fading Presence:

Your unsettling presence makes it challenging for survivors to pinpoint your location.

After standing still for 5/4/3 seconds, you become increasingly invisible to survivors' auras and cannot be detected by Spine Chill or Premonition.

Exiting this state by moving incurs a brief speed boost and decreased fatigue time for 10/20/30 seconds.
