I really like the design for this thing because it genuinely makes me feel uncomfortable and I’ve missed that with DBD killers.

Wendigo and skinwalker are NOT the same thing.
Wendigo is basically a zombie which reposents human greed.
Skinwalker is a witch doing basically wolf in sheep's cloating.
Also most of the time it’s the skin walkers that take folks voices once they’ve killed them it’s basically one of the main things they’re known for so it might be more related to that creature than the wendigo

Nach, I love ya but you incorrectly described the abilities of the Wendigo. Wild the window is according to the folklore able to mimic human voices it cannot change its appearance that however is a trait of a skinwalker.
