In my video series I entitled “Entity Education” I will be breaking down the Killers, Perks, and techniques used in Dead by Daylight to hopefully help educate people about the ins and outs of playing Killer at a high rank.

Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught and killed.

  1. Timestamps below! Thank you once again to Chausm for the help on the math with this one, and sorry this took a while. I've just been busy with family and personal stuff. (And not just playing Classic WoW, I swear >.>) The Trickster video should be out a lot closer to his release than this was to the Clown Rework. Seeya then!

  2. thank you for making this..2 weeeks ago I may have cared. Unfortunately I can no longer keep up with all these battlepasses and games as a dead service games trying to pscyhologically manipulate me into playing them. Also, DBD has gone down hill since the implementation of the rift and the last 3 killers (including the new announced one) are utter jokes. I have given up on the game. Best of luck to you.

  3. The best perks for me on Clown is Surge, STBFL(save the best for last), BBQ&Chilli, and pop.
Surge because he's an M1 only killer, so getting a down with your M1 will always happen, and you'll probably get a lot of value for teams that spread progression between gens. STBFL because be able to recover from your M1 quicker, is super good. You'll always get value at random times, unless you're super unlucky and your obsession just hates being stealth in a game. BBQ for obvious reasons. And Pop because it actually mixes well with Surge, and gen rushers. Knock someone, the gen regress a little, and a teammate touches the gen to stop regression, so you hook the knocked surv and rub it in their face that they just made that gen regress even more than if they just didn't touch it yet.

  4. BHVR were super close with the rework. I feel like they should've made the Antidote more beneficial to the Clown to benefit them more for proper planning and usage.

They also should've reworked the Cloud visuals off of thrown bottles. Right now it looks like there are massive deadzones in between the puffs of smoke and it is difficult to tell when you're close enough to be affected by the Antidote. Imo, the gas should've settled onto the ground quicker, have a more defined shape, and it should have a max height. This height should be up to Survivors mouths so it makes sense they're breathing it in, but it'd be lower than the Clown's FOV so he can see over it and isn't completely blinded by his own power.

The setting of the Antidote also takes way too long and feels too committal. If you're using the bottle for map mobility, you'll have none left for chases. The invigorated visuals isn't pronounced enough either since the sound que doesn't line up if you "refresh" your speed-boost.

Overall, they made the Killer less clunky by reducing reloading times, but gave him an additional clunky power.

Btw, would you consider reducing the background gameplay noise? It's a bit distracting from your voice and info segments. Great stuff!

  5. You sound kinda winny about the Redhead's Pinky Finger Add-on.
It's a good Ultra-rare addon, powerful, but requiring some level of skill to use. More than huntress at any rate, basically needing to get within melee range and hit someone with a bottle that is always thrown in an arch. Meaning you must look further down to point-blank them, allowing them to counter it, as you can't see where they are. And the exposed effect only lasts fora few seconds.
