  1. As Deathslinger main, I'm sad that I got nerfs, but I can't really say that they're unfair, but they relaly didn't compensate at all which is shit… But Im incredibly happy about the Trapper changes, and all-around buffs across the table. It's just REALLY cool to see this happen when in most games things just get nerfed to hell

  2. Carrot and the stick.
BHVR does a ton of stuff constantly all the time that is very well deserving of the stick.
But this patch, this is 100% a certified carrot moment.

  3. There is nothing to be praised about these changes. for the small balances that were good, they made a mess of a whole lot more. Moreover, this work is a result (in part) of the boycott. If it takes a full boycott for a game developing company to, i dunno, develop their game then they do not deserve praise and adoration, they deserve credit where credit is due but that credit must also measure equally to the changes made. Most of the cahnges, including much needed buffs to killer, involved them removing some of the killer's strongest addons and replacing them with weaker addons that should have replaced otehr weaker addons. The nerf to key is years late and barely does anything, the change to hatch is also years late and a positive change to both sides and boon totems are going to destroy the game because "new" and "inovative" is not what DbD needs. What dbd needs is actual balancing, many of the new changes are going to destroy DbD, and with VHS around the corner they couldn't have picked a better time to tank their game.

  4. Be excited survivor mains, queue times will be much longer. Be excited killer mains two legacy killers have actually had a small buff that has been needed for years and remember that instant Mori nerf but keys were having an exciting change that needed time? Well here it is, the hatch doesn't appear code has been finished… be excited? LMAO!

  5. I would be except this was the patch i was waiting for 2 years ago… and have now stopped playing the game because it took them this long to do so. Yes it's a good patch but this shouldn't be somethign that takes years to do. All the changes they have made are changes which the majority of the playerbase have been asking for years.
The most recent 4 killers also still exist so whilst deathsligner and spirit will probably be fairer and more enjoyable to play, there's still 4 extremely boring, braindead and poorly designed killers on the roster.

  6. I am excited. And if they fix boon totems and they continue this trend of balancing stuff in really nice ways, I think the game will be in a really good state and I'll be willing to give them money again.

  7. It hard to even give them props tbh, like you said this actually looks like 3 months of work. Yea, this should be a level of changes we see every PTB. I know that sounds like a lot but with the constant neglect of their community and leaving us in the dark about a lot of this and refusing to elaborate because they believe we're stupid and dont know any better I kinda dont care anymore. I am somewhat enjoying the game again but (I know this is outta context) I hope when VHS eventually comes out its successful and kicks this dev team into shape. With the possibility of genuine competition on the horizon my faith in this game gets a little better tbh.

  8. A deathslinger change that doesn't fix any issues that people have with him, Annoying ass boon totems and some underwhelming killer add on changes. Can't exactly say I'm excited for this meta, Not to mention the pure stupidity of new BTL.

  9. I get the point you're trying to make, but in all fairness Patch 5.2.0 did come with a new killer, which is much more work than a new survivor, so it's a little disingenuous to simply look at the patch notes as a summary of all the work they did

  10. "Hey guys, Scott here." Normal video opening, sure. "I just wanted <snip> optimistic-" Woah now! you're not Scott! Impostor!
Jokes aside I do agree, this latest path is a good thing and I hope they keep it up but I'm not going to hold my breath for it.
