  1. Can we just instead stop shitting on tunneling and just make going for mixed hooks more effective somehow? Going for mixed hooks right now is not effective against good teams especially if you are playing weak killers, you essentially HAVE to tunnel, which is unfun for both sides, just incentivize going for mixed hooks

  2. I'm kind of at the point now where I think DS doesn't have much place in the game. It can be really good for getting free pressure, but with how long basekit BT is, and especially BT itself is now, there's almost 0 reason you'd ever need DS unless it's a nurse or blight focusing you. I think the only change that makes sense is to add an extra second to the stun, that's about it though. This sounds a bit unnecessary and abusable by simply 99ing gens.

  3. This is still a bandaid solution that doesn’t change the fact that getting hit during BT denies you OTR, DH, and overcome doesn’t activate with endurance hits either. Also the killer can still slug you or camp you so you never get unhooked In the first place. The only reason they nerfed DS again is bc they had promised to change it to 3 seconds years ago and never did it.

  4. I just want dstrike to keep the same stun and late game deactivation.

Just give dstrike a bonus 15% movement speed for 4 seconds. This lets the survivor run away. Discourage the chase by giving them an increased speed while also letting them gain distance during the stun. While also not being a nightmare when being dstruck.

  5. What if they made decisive strike optional to use or not when its conditions are met? Like you could choose to trigger the skill check at any point while being carried

  7. The killer may have many reason to tunnel like when he only find the same survival only and he tunnel with out his mind and some survival deserves the tunnels cuz they just make killer cry in corner from loop + ((((((((((((((((((Tea bag))))))))))))))) and killer become so sad and hate this survival and he change his mind from get 4K to only kill this survival he tbag him and this my opinion now I know there some of survival main they say a lot of shit things like no he must not tunnel but yea who said this are bitch and have good time

  8. So BHVR needs to stop using Perks as bandaids for issues in the game, but also hey here's a novel suggestion of using a Perk as a bandaid for an issue in the game (early tunnel)? I am lost here.

  9. This sounds really well designed? It encourages not tunnelling, and could avoid issues w/ the basekit unbreakable as well thanks to the finisher mori being a thing. Plus, it wouldn't be super hard to word? "DS starts with five tokens. Whenever a generator is completed, DS loses a token. (Usual text about hooking etc) the killer is stunned for two seconds, plus an additional 1 second for each stack." Just something like that? The flavour text could even be something like "Even in the most dire situations, you still refuse to lose hope." (Which feeds into the hope vs despair theme of dbd in general!)

  10. Ridiculous idea. You admit to saying the killer should be punished for being ‘so far ahead’?? How do survivors get punished for being so ‘far ahead’? They don’t. People just need to accept their crutch DS perk is gone, and it’s a balanced perk now that can still have a damaging effect.

  11. i think a 4 second stun is enough if you give the survivor no sound, no footsteps, no scratchmarks, no blood and basically sprint burst for 5 seconds, then they could really dissappear

  12. I like the idea but find 7 second stun little too annoying to play with. I would prefer if they did instead of a long stun a speed debuff. Make DS stun 3.5 – 4 seconds but for every gen up the killer gets a speed debuff for like 10-15 seconds they get a stack of -10 movement speed. so if you get ds'd at 5 gens you are moving half as fast for ten seconds. this gives killers still the chance to do something about lets say a gen being worked on in your face or an unhook or a slug but at a great penalty still get to play but good punish for tunneling. I would still enjoy the ds presented in the video but this would cause a lot less frustration

  13. 2 words bodyblocks and lockers survivors have the ability to force ds on killers and if this change will be implemented many survs will be abusing this shit 7 or 6 seconds of stun sound very annoying for me

  14. Massive nerf to any killer below artist. This is basically old DS. You are not downing someone before 2 gens at least and sometimes you need to tunnel someone out to balance the game. 2 seconds when exit gates are open makes DS still an extremely powerful late game perk, it doesnt change anything, especially when survs can simply bodyblock. This is just a massive nerf to killers who cant down as quickly as the top 5 killers.

  15. Great and amazing idea! Too many killers are carried by this update. I play both sides and i ever dislike tunnel and camp cause is boring af.
This update works only against a decent swf. Solo queue are literally trash. Even play with a single random can ruin the entire game.
