Facing Toxic Killers in Dead by Daylight!

What do you consider a toxic player? Over the years I’ve been posting content I’ve had all sorts of things called out as toxic. I wanted to share two matches of more “typical” toxic gameplay with a Wraith that decided to slug everyone starting at 5 gens and a Bubba that wanted to facecamp! Then I wanted to share two matches that are less commonly considered toxic, but I’ve been accused of for being toxic for in the past. In the Ghostface match you’ll notice he goes back to hook, he focuses on getting Zarina since she’s the only one on death hook, and there are instances of body blocking from the survivors. These are all things I’ve been accused of as toxic. I also wanted to share a 5 gen chase against a Pig I had recently. In the past I’ve been called toxic simply for staying at a pallet to wait to see what the killer’s next move is. Or even just for being chased for that long. I’ve also had players consider a killer chasing me that long as “tunneling”. What are your thoughts on this? Do you consider any of these things toxic? I personally don’t see tunneling or camping as toxic, but I do not enjoy when my team gets bled out. That’s probably one of the few things I still consider pretty toxic. Slugging in itself is not toxic to me, but slugging with no intent of hooking and that early is unnecessary imo. I love helping you guys learn the game and always take my content straight from my live stream on Twitch! I am live on Twitch Monday-Friday at 11am ET, stop by and say hi! Thank you so much for watching!

  1. Slugging is fine. Even 4k slugging.
Knockout isn't even any good and is hard counters by any coms or people paying attention.
Should the devs just make you bleed out faster so that people aren't "held hostage" while the killer tries to end the game as fast as they can?

  3. I agree but also, theres a difference between slugging at 4 genz and playing like you own the place. I was killer once and I downed a survivor at 4 genz. A survivor was nearby for a flashlight save, so I downed them as well. I went to pick up the first survivor and when I hooked them, saw the other two healthy survivors in my vicinity running around to heal the survivor that was downed. Am I just supposed to let that happen? Like huh? I feel like there is too many complaints from both sides. Survivors complain too much and so do killers. The role of a killer is to kill. The role of a survivor is to survive. By any means necessary it is ok. I dont find perks like noed or head on toxic. Its part of the game and as a survivor or killer, you need to learn how to counter it instead of crying that your skill level cant match the opposing perks. This is a general statement to the community, not directed to you Mish, love your content keep going! ❤❤

  4. I believe the toxicity lies behind the reason of the action, not the action itself. Slugging someone and watching them bleed out is toxic, slugging because there are 3 survivors around you is justifiable. Tunneling someone for a petty reason (playing a specific character, wearing a certain cosmetics, bringing a flashlight) is toxic, tunneling for pressure is not (but I still think it's a skill issue/unlucky. Just take the L and move on). The thing is being toxic as killer is thousands of times more impactful than survivor. Killer mains only will never get this.

  5. Im not really against anyone. I create my own fun and just focus on my personal growth and if i can loop a killer for 5 gens i take that as a step up. i think everyone has their own fair opinion. I think if the community as a whole stopped judging and berating others than we could all “learn” how to play without using unfavourable strats. Why would a killer care about playing fair if they just get attacked anyways for perks and add ons and such? And same goes with survivors. I know theres toxicity on both sides.
Thats just my opinion and i know the post game toxicity will never go away im just saying killers who have been toxic in one game can be the nicest killer in the next. Whether people agree or not just think about it next time you go to send someone a DM. So much easier to make friends than keeping up with an enemy ❤ if a killer feels support they may want to grow themselves and maybe theyll think about changing their playstyle.
I love this game too much to see it shatter because everyone is against eachother.
Finally beautiful looping and teammwork ❤ sorry for the long read

  6. the Wraith one was the worst of all. letting survivors die on the ground for no reason is toxic and this build of letting them die on the ground is fucking boring to play against

As a killer the only thing I really find toxic is when the survivors wait at the gate like: "see me leave, see me leave, see me leave"

  7. I’ve been playing the new game mode almost nonstop since it released and the killers have been sooooo much more toxic than I’ve ever experienced. Almost every single game has been something awful to go against. Hard and I mean HARD tunneling, slugging for 4K, hook camping, slugging in general. I don’t understand why people are taking the new game mode so seriously. I thought it would be more chill and fun and you get extra bloodpoints but I’m not sure if the extra blood points and the chance to try perks I don’t otherwise have is worth it

  8. I once played a match against the Pig who had an add-on giving all survivors Active Reverse Bear Traps at the start. There was only one correct jigsaw box for everyone, but the Pig blocked it, so we just waited to die. It was the most toxic ass game I've ever experienced.

  9. Bro you deserve every bit of toxicity, You are lucky there's no in-game chat for killers to hear you talk.
there was nothing toxic in any of the matches anyway, Killers played the game the way game is designed to play.

  10. Alot of mindless monkeys within the dbd community, is it annoying to vs? Yeah it can be but its a skill issue if your getting 4man slugged at 5 against an m1 killer. With or within knockout. M1 killers are shit asf. And before anyone says it i play 60% surv 40% killer

  11. There is nothing toxic about the wraith's gameplay.
To use a niche perk such as knockout effectively many things have to line up perfectly:
1)SWF counters this perks by using coms, meaning the lack of aura is trivial
    2) downing all 4 survivors with BASIC attacks is easier said then done.
    3) You don't always know where all of them are and you should have insta down perks to get quick use of Knockout.

Why do we hardly see this perk? This is why.

  12. I had a TTV bleed us out at 5 gens. Went into the chat to ask why he did that. Reason was because one survivor disconnected. ??? Me and my friend were a duo, how are we supposed to control what others do? Gameplay like that is just annoying

  13. Everyone can play the game however they want if the game allows you to use that style there is usually a counter like unbreakable and a few other perks. The problem i see is that so many more people complain about slugging which is very easily counterable but no one addressing survivors exploiting the eerie of crows map with boilover or springwood main with no basement this in my opinion is a much bigger issue

  14. Toxic gameplay

    1. Camping or proxy camping (this is only justifiable when the doors are open)
    2. Tunneling (Tunneling accidentally it's okay if you plan to give them a break afterwards)
    3. Slugging (There's an exception if the survis are dumb enough to group for whatever reason)
    4. Using NOED ultimate weapon and Thanatophobia it's ABSOLUTELY prohibited
    5. Play legion, plague, cannibal Knight and skull merchant it's ABSOLUTELY prohibited

  15. I personally dont think anything regarding actual gameplay is toxic. Granted, there are things I dislike, like being bleed out for 4 minutes, since I feel like my time is being wasted, but I dont see it as inherently toxic, since I could just bring perks to counteract it but I actively choose not to (Unbreakable, Soul Guard, etc, honestly this can be applied with literally anything in the game). Though if a player decides to use said strategies, I dont think they should complain about what other people do in a game since those strategies are often frowned upon by the general community (basically, dont deal it out if you cant handle the same type of stuff being done to you).

THIS BEING SAID… once you take things out of the game and start to harass people in the post-game chat or through other various means, that is when it becomes toxic, since you are taking things that happened in a game and dragging it into the real world which is a massive "no-go" for me.

  16. Why are people so obsessed with toxic behavior killers like that wraith I don't think they have any friends And they hate people with friends. All they do is just hate… Do on two others❤

  17. Tunneling and (proxy) camping just for the sake of doing it is toxic IMO.
If you’re doing it to apply pressure or turn the match around, not toxic but I’ve seen several ppl who just spawn in, get a hook then stare at the person from a safe distance at 5 gens 😭. A trade comes in and they down that person but immediately tunnels the unhooked, hooks them again and repeat.

  18. There’s a Wraith at high mmmr (I think the name is something like PooPooPeePee lol) who literally just slugs. They’ll bring sloppy, Knockout, deerstalker and slug everyone then go stand in a corner til everyone bleeds out. I’ve faced them like 5 times this year already smh. It’s like who hurt them 💀😭. Probably one of those “I play how I want, I don’t follow your little rule book” maniacs.
