Cheating survivors are a much more normal occurrence lately as well, game is DEAD move on.
at this point I wold be just happy with the state of the game if the just don't change healing at all. how incradibly bad BHVR's decisions are these days if we don't even wait for some changes and just asking not to touch anything
DH = Extra health state = EXTRA CHANCE, git good stop leaning on crutches survivors.
I love how everyone always complains about dead hard but it’s really not that hard to play around I understood taking away it giving you distance to make a pallet or window vault but now it’s just getting rediculous
I feel like your coming at the killer side way too hard like survivors ARENT saying they’re going to quit or DBD is dead because they finally after years received a substantial nerf. They’re just as much crybabies if not more than killers.
People on Reddit especially make these double edged arguments all the time. For example: a survivor main poses as a killer main saying “well if you nerf the DH meta then SB meta will be even worse, please don’t nerf DH!” Or like you were saying the “killers” (fake killer mains, survivor mains in reality) will say that “if you don’t bring back healing we’ll just push gens and it will be even worse!” It’s a tactic they like using for their own benefit.
I mean, survivors don't start the trial injured and I think you're underestimating how many killers (particularly those on the forums) camp and 3 gen because they can't close out chases quickly.
People will freak out because 3 gens pop during their first chase, and blame it on any nerfs to any perks, map RNG, or whatever their favorite streamer says. Anything other than 'I could improve my chase game and not take 3 minutes to get my first down.'
Surprised you didn’t mention the genrush resilience meta perk stuff. Seems like an important thing to address
Stop, it isn't a live release. Everything in the PTB is subject to change. Everyone needs to quit acting like it is the actual update.
Remember everyone I WILL NEVER STOP. Because YOU will never stop illegally raping people off of the networks, and raping children off the games with abuse.
You can never make people on the forums happy, just like if you dare to disagree with someone on a "popular opinion", they will just do everything in their power downplay your comment until it's 6 feet underground and everyone else will join in. There's just no speaking rationally with those people.
Tbh it would be healthy for the game to change healing speeds and gen speeds to find a healthy match cause the speeds in the current build makes the game boring TBH
I love how when he named all the sort bad stealth killers he mentions all of them XD
3:00 I don't believe you ghost face is my biggest weakness cause I'm always high before I play and he always sneaks up on my and gets a free hit but the chases lasts however long I want it to last not 2 seconds 😂
When I did play a bit in the PTB as Legion, one thing I noticed was that people did – at least initially – still try to heal through it? People brought boons, they brought medkits, etc. A good part of that is probably people just testing stuff out though. However, one thing I did very much notice Legion works nicely with now is Tinkerer, and other such stealth perks.
Since people are more likely to stay injured now (esp if you bring the mangled and hermorage add-ons to make healing nigh impossible), you can use tinkerer to get the jump on survivors super easily if they're even slightly unaware. You're about survivor sized, not very loud, and undetectable? Must be a survivor!
I'm also curious about how perks like Ruin are going to fare post meta shake up – it's still very solid regression, especially on killers who can effectively force survivors off of gens (Legion, Wraith, etc) and pairs extremely nicely with survielance to get consistent info on what is being worked on, but also inner healing is going to become significantly better post rework – meaning people are gonna be doing bones more often. It'll be interesting to see for sure! This change is overall very killer sided, but them gutting gen kick and nerfing pain res might make the games less dull? Healing takes longer, hit and run gets better, 3 gen styles are nerfed!
I think killers should be worried less about getting gen rushed, and more about getting a game at all or their upcoming 20 min queues. Also have fun when survs DC and send you immediately back to the lobby. But DH and COH will be nerfed like you wanted!
Mr. Contrarian Scott, people are not generally whining because survivors will rush gens while injured, it's the fact that most good gen regressions perks are gutted. It's ridiculous that you think corrupt intervention is anywhere top tier perk. You get punished for downing a survivor, and have to play with 3 perks for rest of the game. If you down someone fast in 1st chase (which depends on survivor, not on the killer), then you might as well take completely different perk and get much more value. And don't tell me that if you downed a survivor fast, then it's already a win in your book. You still need anti gen regression perks whether you down them fast or not – absolutely tragic survivors can do so bad in chase and still pump out gens with ease and they're not even taking toolboxes/prove thyself/bnps etc. Jolt is map dependent, and in general it is a weak perk unless it can hit multiple gens. Deadlock in itself is decent perk, but gen regression > gen blocking, regardless, l still think it is last good anti-gen perk available.
Game was already sometimes insufferable when running full anti gen build. It was a plastic fix to a game that is so imbalanced at its core. Did it work always? No, but it made some games actually fun and satisfying. BuT kIlL rAtE iS 56 pErCeNt. Maybe it's not about kill rate? Maybe killers are tired of having to do camping/tunneling and all that shit when gens get pumped out of nowhere. It's not rewarding, nor fun to play well whole game, still get gen rushed, and clutch at the end for 3k because Meg decided to hook in front of your face. I should win the game because I played consistently good throughout the game, not because I did campy tunnely oopsie play at the end. And anti gen builds actually made you get rewarded for playing well consistently throughout the match, baring exceptional cases like SWF. Now that will be gone, you will get hit with that reality check how anti gen builds were actually good thing for the game. Make judgements after few weeks or even a month post-patch. In some cases you will get "more chases", but in majority of them, you will get killers using imbalanced strategies, camping and tunneling, to counter another imbalanced strategy, which is generator speeds.
No mither resilience shadow buff?
Survivor Main the best perk for us is a Protest perk meaning next patch let us not play the game buy absolutely nothing in stores. Leave the game and see what Devs do
"Altruistic healing is not the problem", Yeah it's not the problem but I think everyone is missing the mark here, the point of the nerf there is to empower healing PERKS and items. The regression meta has forced the community to a point where so little is meta, that people are just only testing the same builds we've been using for a year. Nerfing regression makes gen rushing a bit more accessible without needing gen rushing perks. There are SO many OVERPOWERED healing perks that literally stick the finger to this update, and that was completely intentional. Actual healing and altruism builds help you to overcome healing times and get back on the generators sooner, rather than later, testing it, these perks give more gen rushing value, than even gen rushing perks do, while also doubling as making you viable for chase(generator defense) again. By pushing the game back to being about generators, chase and healing have meaning again, but you have to be careful WHEN you heal and HOW you heal, you need to be careful HOW you unhook someone, and not just take a prot hit and leave them behind with the killer(this is why they did the UI updated).
Similarly, killers now have to be very careful when they choose to tunnel or camp, or when they choose to commit to a chase with a strong survivor, anti-heal does the same for them, it gets them on the gens sooner. This is a good change because so many killers dont rely on crutch perks like pain res, which teaches them to commit to chase for perk value, not because its a good time. These changes make the game more intuitive for new players because now it will be obvious when you are doing something that throws the game, and the game wont just drag on because someone just cares about chase. If the game is dragging on its because the game is actually redeemable now. And if players play killer? That is good for them and makes them a better survivor. This making the game killer-sided for new survivors, but survivor sided for new killers, and nobody sided for experienced players. ACTUALLY TEACHING players how to play! It hugely shifts the game away from first chase deciding everything, and more to the midgame. It's still your fault, if you dont break a 3gen early. It's still your fault, if you do a bad unhook and hand the killer a tunnel. While regular tunneling and camping should lose the killer most of the kills now, like when gens were 60s instead of 90, but without actually going back to that if the killer is playing.
What's sad about the complaints is people dont see that the biggest threat to new players is themselves. Them not being able to learn the game easily causes them to ruin the game for experienced players. When the game cant find a team for your MMR after only a few moments, it compromises and throws in any MMR to end Q. But experienced survivors are dropping the game like flies. Because endless chasing is stale, 4 chase only perks, are stale. 40 min matches lost in the first 5mins, is stale. All these changes help BHVR make the game better for new players without being at the expense of others, and is the topping to the last few updates that work to bring solo in line with SWF.
Look at perks like Autodidact, Botany, We'll make it, Resurgence, Resilience, Inner healing, even COH has proven to work super well if you use it right, placing it at a completed generator where the killer has no business, go to it when a gen pops. While this patch is clearly about ALTRUISM, you can still run self-care+botany for an infinite medkit, run resilience to make it faster, and bring a toolbox instead of a medkit. Autodidact is mega buffed by sloppy being meta, long heal times allow you to get stacks asap. And no matter how long the heal, a single skill check heals 50% of your bar. There are countless altruism builds you can do now, or chase-altruism-genrush hybrid builds. These builds even synergize with dead hard. And being cracked like this should COST perk slots and items, thats it, thats all this update is. If you're running adrenaline and dead hard, but then using 2 other chase-esque perks, you're usually griefing the game without dedicated gen jockeys, an experienced killer would already know to drop chase and you're just bullying new killers, you aren't actually good.
This just makes the game better for new players and kills bully squads that don't run altruism.
Sometimes when people are complaining about both sides, it's because both sides are wrong.. not always but sometimes
Scott my man, you remain a beacon of light amidst an unprecedented age of misinformation, but I just want you to think about what altruism perks actually accomplish now, this is the reason for nerfing altruistic healing, getting people on gens faster but costing perks to do it. So many altruism builds are more than viable now to overcome the changes and that was intentional. They help survivors keep survivor resources up too when killers have less reason to chase. So many hybrid builds of altruism, chase, and rushing perks will be 200% viable now! Games are going to be long, but only when they are still winnable!
I don’t like the partisanship but I genuinely believe placating some loud killer mains is killing this game.
this video feels weird to watch. its like it was made by a scott in a dimension where sprint burst doesnt exist and somehow the video ended up in my world
