Saying that DbD is and should be a competitive game but also that there should be a power role that has complete control over the outcome is contradictory

Hangman tricks is part of the long list of perks which have been deemed "unreliable". It has its moments but other then niche situations it often has little impact. If I had to make it better, make it so that the aura reading last another 10 seconds after hooking and increase range around the hooks. Other then that though unless they really change the perks in a dramatic and unforseen way, I doubt ghis perk will ever be listed above C tier when it comes to perk rankings.
Not a good sign that basically the only killer viable at high level is the one who ignores most of the normal rules the game has
