  1. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I ran into a cheater that was trying to gaslight me into thinking my connection was bad.

Played as Bubba and was kind of dominating a solo squad of survivors. Nothing suspicious for the majority of the game. I had 1 survivor dead and had the assumed cheater on death hook, though he hadn't cheated (that I could tell) until I downed him for the kill. Then all of a sudden I get strange lag on pick up, strange lag on trying to hook where it would start the animation and cancel, then of course he wiggled free.

I immediately suspect cheater but DBD can be stupid so I thought maybe, just maybe the survivor had a bad connection with the server. Especially since the rest of the game seemed innocent enough. I continued playing the match and I had 0 issues with anyone else. To be fair, I had 0 issues with the alleged cheater either until he was about to actually die.

Fast forward and the alleged cheater is the last survivor remaining. A hatch offering was used for the shack and I placed myself in such a way that I could immediately close it as it appeared and start the endgame collapse. As I make my way to the exit gates to start patrolling, I see a crow fly allowing me to effectively pinpoint where he was hiding. It doesn't take long for me to spot him start chasing. The chase lasts all of maybe 10 seconds before he just stops dead in his tracks in the middle of nowhere. No pallets nearby, no windows, just out in the open, like he just gave up. It's the kind of hesitation you see before someone DC quits and are replaced by a bot. Anyway, I rev up my chainsaw and I'm on him, ready to end it only nothing happens. The chainsaw activates but passes right through him until the chainsaw charge ends. I M1 him and it just whiffs like I'm hitting air. I can't touch him. 5 seconds later, I've been disconnected from the match. No bloodpoints, no end of game chat, just disconnected from the server. I back to the main menu only to be met with a penalty timer.

Now, there's still that extremely small possibility that it was just a freak coincidence that I just happen to not be able to death hook this guy and I just happen to disconnect right as he has no chance of winning during the endgame collapse, but I'm all but certain it was a cheater gaslighting me into thinking my connection with the server was bad and it was just bad luck I disconnected.

  2. I quit other games like cs:go (cs:2 now) due to the cheater issue. I play more casual games which I consider dbd to be. I can't imagine why anyone would cheat in this game. There's no leaderboard, no high-rank status to achieve, nothing. It's crazy when I see them as a non-streamer. Like why?

  3. Ran into 2 cheaters on my team (playing solo survivor) the past 4 weeks. First time we were vsing nurse on midwhich and i blocked off door way so nurse could down him and just bagged him at hook and pointed at him (he was zooming across the map)

Second time i had kindred and i saw steve zoom across the map going for unhooks cause obviously i have aura reading (also unhooked me at one point) oni couldnt catch him. I managed to record that one and send it in for report. Next morning it said he was punished 🤣

Cheaters are so miserable ill never understand cheating on multiplayer games. Even if your trying to get a rise out of someone its just so incredibly pointless. If you suck at the game just try and get better or play something you can enjoy

Hope you have a great thanksgiving reaper! (assuming you celebrate it. If not then have a wonderful month!)

  4. I've got a question as I don't know if this is cheating or not but there was a match I was in and I was running from the killer and vaulted a window but then I'm pulled back to the window and have to vault again. This happened in a 2v8 match against a Spirit three times but I didn't know if its just a ping issue or actual hacks being used. Has this happened to anyone else?

  5. I don't think giving them attention is what they want. You may see a spike in viewership but if they're boring that goes away like tallertoast. If anything I think you should make it known about their hacks or at least send their channel to bhvr. If their advertising their cheats bhvr can have easier efforts against it

  6. In DBDM there’s a survivor cheat where if you’re trying to pick up a survivor after you down them, you get locked for like 10 seconds bent over looking at the ground. The survivor just gets up and starts running around you, I assume tea bagging and meme-ing. So dumb.
