  1. I feel like of all the killers, sadako is the only one to really "counter" shoulder the burden. Since the condemn locking cant be undone by the hook state being taken, you can just condemn the survivors to death

  2. tbh dbd could NEVER be balanced imo the reason for this is usually if 4 randoms use a perk its balanced and fine but if a swf can coordinate and create builds just for meta perks then its 50x harder for the killer to beat a swf

  3. I will never take off Shoulder the burden (unless they decide to nerf it to the ground) i feel like they should make it so the killer can see your hook stages on if you use the perk

  4. idk man I feel like this is a really easy perk to ignore as killer, outside of maybe sweaty swfs that I really haven't seen yet. Like no health states are gained and honestly if the weak link is given an extra health state by one of the stronger players, that is just transferring a more valuable health state to a less valuable one, isnt it? I think it's a lot harder to use this aggressively too, like other anti-tunnel perks since it's run by someone who isnt the tunneled player. If anything this kinda just helps better players alleviate the issue of the "one weak link" style of gameplay that I think was really unnecessary for killers to capitalize on for most general matches anyways.

  5. It is strong, alright
I might be a special case and got really lucky, but today I was trying to unlock the Adept Taurie achievement, I was playing solo as Always.

    ⚠️ Long text ahead 🗣️

We were against a Freddy, 2 teammates on death hook (one of them another Taurie and the other a Kate that was still on the hook, with Feng getting chased) and no hook on me yet, 2 generators remaining. I took a hook stage for Kate and quickly healed her.
Later, all gens were completed thanks to the Kate who was progressing one of the gens on the other side of the map that Freddy couldn't afford the luxury to go check even with his teleport.
At the endgame collapse, Kate took one last little chase with Freddy that she won thanks to Dead hard and left.

The results were a 4 man out with 3 people on death hook and a very pissed Freddy in the after game chat, that Kate will live rent-free in my mind by being the most bullshit escape I've ever witnessed

  6. This is just going to force more killers to patrol the hook (I refuse to use the stupid term "proxy camping") to get a shot at the exposed person. It will modify Killer behavior even in matches where it isn't brought, because Killers won't want to take the chance it's there, just like how we almost always pick up immediately because we don't know if Unbreakable is in play.

  7. honestly as both killer and survivor i love the idea of a perk that can trade hook states, punishes you for not keeping up good killer chases and rotating your pressure and most of the time what will happen is the person who used shoulder will just end up wasting that hook state cause the survivor they saved just isn't good enough to make the sacrifice that other player made

  8. I had a survivor team use this against my Houndmaster the other day, but it just resulted in a bunch of them being 2nd hooked for the first time! It can be a double edged sword if not used correctly! :O

  9. It's really nice to get a genuinely meta survivor perk again. Amidst dracula, 50,000 ways to have killers have aura reading on you, and all the sweating we see lately it's nice to have a real honest to God anti tunnel perk. Except you can keep OTHER people from being tunneled instead of yourself! I find it kind of works like the deliverance curse though, so that's funny. But so far I like it on survivor, I don't know how it'll feel on killer though.

    Time will tell.

  10. I wish that we will get qol changes on killer like a nerfed version of deer stalker being basekit bindable keys for picking up survs and breaking and vaulting and being able to seeing hook stages. I think that killers need things to keep them happy we are also players and we have been getting practically nothing in terms of qol changes.

  11. The killer unfortunately puts a sour taste in my mouth cause, honestly, I'd rather play pinhead.

The perks though arent that bad, though some are same same, that being no quarter is just a healing merciless storm, and clean break being a moment of glory mixed with solidarity.

Now shoulder the burdern ive played little against, but when I have it's been strong due to me not being one to proxy nor tunnel.. seems counterproductive. If i were just proxying or camping, I could just hard focus the person using the perk, and now I have someone deathhook. SWF is the only choice to use this perk and vigil.

  12. I used it yesterday and saved one of my teammates and we all escaped since she was being tunnelled out. It definitely comes in handy in certain circumstances, I never got hooked the whole match so was easy to shoulder the burden. This was on SOLO Q as well
