While plenty of perks have managed to annoy the DBD community, one perk went above that and annoyed the DEVELOPERS THEMSELVES…

  1. Hey Ardetha, I really love your content and as someone who is pretty familiar with dbd throughout the years it's amazing to have some flashbacks and let nostalgia kick in every now and then.
What I would love however (if possible, as it might be rough to find so I understand if not) is if you'd be able to give some gameplay examples of what it looked like back then as i feel it would portray it better than the imagination can. Actually seeing old machine gun Huntress actually makes you realize how strong it was. Other than that amazing stuff as always <3

  2. I think people are more concerned about the version of Tinkerer that grants Undetectable. But I'm staunchly opposed to the majority opinion. Tinkerer was fine before it was nerfed. It can happen infinite times on a gen. So what? The killer can't be everywhere at once. That is why info is a non-issue. People complained about the old Freddy build with slowdown add-ons (what, 15% max?), Ruin (just cleanse it), and Tinkerer. At the end of the day, he was an M1 killer, a non-issue. And if he was the biggest killer that this perk was an issue with, then it was in a fine spot. Freddy has to commit to the teleport to actually have pressure on that gen. If he's faking it, you just run right back on. I see no reason why, right now, we can't just have un-nerfed Tinkerer back. It definitely wouldn't be S tier, because of all the power creep that's happened.

  4. Omg but 3 second stun is so bad, it's not 3 seconds it's more like 1.8 realistically lol. Bc of that stupid fall animation. Had a TRAPPER catch up to me super quick after a DS i couldnt even reach the only closest pallet I had, that pallet was legit maybe like 15-18 metres away? I wish it would go back to 5 to make it more useful lmao. It's a fucking joke now. Sure it hurts the M1 killers the most, but they are Devs surely they can do something about it!!

(Pls don't hate, but instead first try DS again and you'll see.)

  5. Hey, just thought of a good video idea that I thought I Would watch. Competitive dbd is getting more popular to the normal viewers, and the team "Eternal" dominated the competitve scene for over a year. Maybe a video "How Eternal Dominated the Dbd competitive scene for over a year" would make for an interesting video because of all the close cut final game clutches to keep their title and the game which in the end caused the team to disband just recently.

  6. Thank you for your videos that not only give me a breath of nostalgia but also unlock some forgotten knowledge I had of the game once! Really helps one appreciate how far the game has come but also makes you miss what once was.

  7. Dead hard will probably forever hold the record for length of time an OP perk went unchanged. I literally quit the game for two years, and dead hard was definitely part of the reason why 😅

  8. I know I'm not the best programmer on earth, but the entire point of C++ is being able to define classes and apply properties that are universal to that class. It's one of the most basic things you learn. A "killer" class would then have an "add on" class within it, and add ons would contain Boolean values for whether or not they perform certain functions.

I'm just aghast at the sheer level of incompetence displayed by this dev team on a daily basis.

  9. The first version of ds was actually one of the worst perks in the entire game becacuse it specifically required you to be obsession to work correctly. I think the one you mentioned is the 2 or 3rd rework of the perk that they did. The original was awful because if 2 people is running it, there cannot be 2 obsessions, so one can use it immediately (and lose it for the rest of the game because it was a one time save at any given point that had no prerequisites to be usable besides being downed for the first time) and the other had to reach I think 40% of wiggle progress before the skillcheck appears.

Even for the obsession though it was counterable because you can only have an obsession if one of Laurie's perks was used on someone and I think for the original and first rework of the perk, the killer can just pick up and drop the survivor all the way to the hook, because the ds thing was a completely seperate minigame that didn't reward wiggle progress when they were dropped. It took a while for the devs to make it usable for survivors but failed to make it actually fair.

  10. Instead of affecting addons, they could make a perk that affects every killer's power individually and uniquely. They could make the perks effects range from percentage increases tailored to each killer or maybe make some fun addons base (without stacking).

  11. Hey Ardetha, a cool video you should think of making is the history of 3 genning, I think that would be a interesting video since now you can’t really do it now with the 8 regression system in the game.

  12. Old tinkerer was fine until ruin got updated and undying got released, so you'd have blights that just sprint at mach 3 to every generator as soon as it gets low on progress, force you off, ruin takes it below the threshold, rinse and repeat.

  13. Honestly I've played since 2016 and never had that kind of feeling about Tinkerer. It was fun to play and interesting to verse. If you look at it from todays perspective you‘re totaly right. But from 2016 to 2019 the Game was just much different overall. Cheers tho, very fun to watch
