  1. I think the killer is cool, and from what I have heard is its supposed to be a more accurate pirate than what we know of which was just what one crew looked like. Thats what I heard, I didn't do any research cause it does not actually change anything. The main problem is that they shouldn't be releasing a killer that uses AI pathing until they can atleast get their bot survivors to work. The PTB notes also said they improved AI, but I played against bots on multiple maps on the PTB and on every outdoor map the bots path themselves to the corner of the map and stand there looking at the wall until I hit them. This killer is too complicated for BHVR to release right now but they committed and its gonna backfire heavily.

  2. I like that it was in a kind of surprise way that the killer came to us but I HATE that they decided to call them a PIRATE, like can you fucking imagine the potential of a cursed pirate… all of it wasted 🙁

  3. I agree with you on everything you said I miss when DBD was a horror instead of them steady trying to push this competitive narrative to this game when it’s not suppose to be a competitive the community makes the game competitive and sweaty so there for it’s kinda both of their fault the community and the developers

  4. This is what I agree on with your points-
.Yes the Houndmaster is disappointing for a pirate killer and outside of some voicelines it is hard to tell.
. The cool new Ormond map not being released with the killer does suck.
. Yes the lack of a trailer or any hints leading up to her does kind of suck, but I also kind of like how she came out of nowhere.

    Points I disagree with:
. The Dog being the ‘best part’ about her and her worth without it- I don’t think you articulated the point you were trying to make well when it came to this point as it could come across as you saying “she’s nothing without her dog” which is the whole point of her and it’s a point that could apply to any killer. Take away their power and what are they- an M1 killer, the base template. She’s called the houndmaster for a reason.
. Though I do agree to an extent about the humanoid designs of a lot of the original killers being overdone and the example you give of Dredge is perfect for your point, I don’t believe it fair to say that Legion should be lumped in with the ‘taller, covered in blood survivors’ as that’s their whole point. They’re meant to be just survivors with knives, that’s what makes them so brutal. Skill Merchant I agree with however.
. (This is less so a point I vehemently disagree with but more one that I respect) Your fears of the game becoming like Fortnite and losing the survival-horror edge it once had. I respect the fear but I believe that Behaviour is doing a decent job at trying to retain the horror of the game with its expanding roster and collabs. Ever since Michael was added to the game the prospect of getting so many horror icons added has excited me and though while the addition of Laura was a bit unexpected, I believe she’s a perfect fit for DBD. Now if characters that have no relation to horror or would not fit within the realms whatsoever are added (like Masterchief, and extreme example) then I would understand your fear a bit more.
Overall, I agree with a few points you’ve made but overall respectfully disagree with the fact that Behaviour is becoming lazy or at least to the extent you project in this video. The game is still fun and each new addition has something fun to add. I do wish the next original has as great of a build up as the Unknown however as that dlc was astronomical.

  5. Lack of promotion was the big one for me. Some goofball even asked if I was blind when I said they didn't promote this one bit. Dropping a trailer DAY OF with very little promotion before hand shows distinct disrespect for your content. The trailer was only on X and then later added to the dead by day light youtube channel. Yeah great marketing you hacks.

Other than that the buggy nature of the PTB does not do this killer any favors. Doggo looks janky in movement, and even jankier when vaulting. The killer isn't even shaded properly in some instances which blacks her out completely. 8 years and your lighting still blows BVHR

Oh and the Lara Croft smirking at Plague. Yeah if you notice since the Dredge release and Hattie, survivors don't show any fear anymore any promotional material. Why fear the killer right?

  6. 1:31 i disagree, Legion has a more grounded design since their backstory is the most realistic (as in most likely to happen in the real world). Houndmaster has a cool pirate design. And the other 3 are hot af

  7. behaviour is trying to add things to the game without touching the base game on purpose because its easier to do and less money spent plus people are pretty much used to this format for past like 5 years they only add dlcs and nothing more.

  8. She’s not a pirate whoever started that rumor and for all that carry that rumor your wrong and as for behavior being lazy I don’t know about all that but how typical negative rhetoric comes from a community that complains and bxtches about every little thing in this game, think any of you can do better then go work for the dbd team and change it otherwise stfu cause you all sound like the whiny liberals when trump won the election!!!!🙄

  9. This video is crazy to me, because you're acting like the Unknown never came out. And yeah, some killers are scarier than others. I think it's way more important that they're unique, rathe than terrifying at all cost.

  10. I hope she gets some skin where she is fully hidden, or something. I love the dog, but fat pirate is not really what I want to look at. It just doesn't make sense at all.

  11. But arn't some killers just messed up survivors? Like sure she and a survivor may look alike but they're very very different in the way they act are are. The Houndmaster is messed up, she kills, she plunders, and she's fine with doing what she does. Killers don't have to be messed up horror legends like the unknown. They aren't "The Monsters" or "The Bad Guys" they're the killers. The difference between me and a murderer is that I wouldn't kill someone cause I can or because I'm fine with it. The Houndmaster is clearly fine with it. Making her looked like some messed up undead pirate isn't what makes her a killer. What makes her a killer is her lore and her willingness to kill and do what the entity wants them to do.

  12. The thing is, the killer design isn't the problem, people will always pick apart any content they see and make a big deal about it. We need to remember that this is Behavior's design choices, at the end of the day, it's just another killer added to the roster. Unfortunately, the community will not always get what they want, tough crap dear children of DBD. As long as you guys keep buying the chapters and cosmetics, then this is always and will always be a big "Womp Womp" for you guys, you are the consumer, we are the buyers… I'm not anymore, I no longer buy these products anymore, its best to stop now and carry on.
