About Me!

My name is Dyllon! I have played Dead By Daylight for about 3 years now strictly on my Twitch page. After being asked time and time again about how to get into the game, I decided to try my hand at making guides to help players.

  1. Garden of Joy is one of my favorite maps for survivor, and least favorite for killer, specifically because of that building. Its super easy to lose a killer, or extend a chase in it, so I feel that pain in this game.

  2. Thanks for reviewing this, Dyllon. I highly appreciate it. There's a lot for me to think about both playing as Sadako and playing Killer in general. I hope a lot of people learn from it and elevate themselves with the advice given as well.

  3. I was half-expecting a roast because it's Sheriff Flynn. 😂

Loved seeing some Sadako gameplay! One of my favorite killers, but definitely feels bad against a lot of even middling survivors, so appreciate the tips on her for sure.

I liked the general tips ("go for hooks where things are happening," etc) vs tips like "you missed seeing this person over here." Some people do reviews and really harp on the latter, when maybe the person playing just had their eyes elsewhere or whatever–it's just not helpful to say repeatedly. The tips on stuff like hooks and slugging were extremely helpful. Great review!

  4. New thumbnail style, eh? I like it! Love that you've brought these gameplay reviews back. I learn so much from your commentary and appreciate how you can be graciously critical and also highlight good play at the same time.

  5. While I get the point you were making by saying the person playing killer should hook closer to the gens, I think hooking away from the gens also has merit. It forces at least one survivor to leave the gens to get the save & if they aren’t on coms, you may get more running to the hook. Meanwhile the killer, especially one who can quickly go across the map like Sadako, can be among the gens, wreaking havoc by chasing any remaining survivors & getting a little regression going.
I agree that this player took a bunch of bad chases, both into the house & away from gens. I also agree they have to eventually commit to a chase. They just have to learn which ones to drop or take.
The end of the game was a bit of a mess too. The killer spent so much time trying to stop the door from being opened that they weren’t getting anything for the effort. As proven in the game, the survivors escaped through the other gate & one Dwight got the first gate open & escaped.
Strategic slugging definitely would’ve helped, as in when they saw a survivor go for the unhook, drop the guy they were carrying & make Rebecca pay for the unhook.

  6. They really do need to fix that main building they need to lighten it up so it's not so dark and at least put a breakable wall or drop down upstairs near that window and downstairs at the window in the back because those are basically God windows

  7. I really love those reviews. I'm not even a killer main, but it's so neat to see how killers should think and thus how they play as your MMR increase.
This review was particularly helpful because I'm definitely guilty of being "too nice." I don't actually care about getting a 4k so I don't mind letting people go, but I also like trying my best so it was nice to see this. I realise how much you get punished when you play nice on big maps… When I do it on smaller maps it's OK since I still get my hook stages, but big maps really have no mercy.
There was a game where I lost one of the gens in my 3-4 gens zone because I decided to go hook the survivor (at least I did chase and down him in that zone) rather than slug him and go defend my gen despite knowing several survivors were on it because my Discordance had just popped.
