I mean, I’m all for most of the changes, but Sluzzy isn’t wrong this time. Camping objectively received a passive buff with the increased gen repair. I still think 80% of the changes upcoming are positive ones, but camping certainly received a buff. Crazy to me how the opinions on this patch are so varied. Very enjoyable video, my good sir. 👍🏻

I hate to agree with Sluzzy, but yes, longer gen times mean that camping is going to be more effective, especially against solo queue. They added 50 seconds of M1 holding overall. It’s almost one hook state. Obviously it’s less if you spread out and do gens simultaneously, but it’s much easier to coordinate it in SWF. A person in SWF can immediately tell other teammates that they’re camped, so they can start genrushing. I’m not saying that it’s the end of the world for solo queue survivors and everyone should uninstall, but I agree that it’s a big nerf to solo queue and a buff to camping.

They might have needed to extend the hook timers by like 5 seconds per stage to account for the longer gens.
But it may not even be that big of a deal. I cant count the number of times im 3/4s of the way through the 5th gen and someone else finishes one on the other side of the map.

Just because BHVR promises something does not mean they will deliver. We've been waiting years for them to fix frame drops and months to fix the rubberbanding and the only brief mention of improving Game Health was in the dev stream. Solo Q is hell and they should really give the solos some more info to help them out like the ability to call for help if they need a heal.
I've always thought DbD could do a 2+2 or Duo mode where you get paired with a wingman, so you have someone to watch your back and give a rat's behind about you while also giving you someone else to care about in the game. Something like this would help disincentivize Solo Qs to not DC or kill themselves on the hook and abandon their teammates.
Killer-wise I am kind of scared too. My favorite objective in the game is to collect BBQ stacks and if I am given a chance to get a BBQ stack over a kill, I go for the stack far more often than not. By taking away BBQ stacks from killers, I do think tunneling will become more prevalent. I know I will be guilty of it myself. They should put a basekit 100% bonus into the game for getting 8 hooks before anyone dies.

Killers made a rulebook of their own now it seems. Survivors can't use bt offensively now. Its a rule i guess.
