Read more Dead by Daylight ➜ https://deadbydaylight.mgn.tv

Alot of changes came with the 4.7.0 PTB last week and the Huntress’s addons finally had a look over. However, there is still a big problem.
I ran a little social experiment to see if the new upcoming changes to Iridescent Heads are more acceptable.
The results were interesting..

  1. I really like your distance idea more. I think it's much smarter. Iri heads have such a bad name that it is really not fair to other survivors, like you said, and the DC penalty does nothing to punish them technically. I'm glad the last group, mostly, communicated so you could give some feedback.

  2. I think your idea of a distance concept would be a really great addition. My biggest pet peeve is when higher rank killers slug and use cheap add ons to pip (which I totally respect is a way to play the game, just not a fun one). I think adding the distance creates the need for some skill to actually get those one hits.

  3. NGL im one of the people who either dcs or kills myself off first hook as soon as i realize iri heads are in the game. I find iri heads in general just not fun to play against. I do agree with the distance thing. a really good shot should be rewarded with an instadown, not because you followed the heels of a survivor and used iri heads at close range. That being said once that patch drops i will most likely still continue to dislike iri heads…and the deathslinger..man i hate deathslingers.

  4. honestly, as much as I agree that the nerf is probably not quite enough, the biggest take away I took from this is that roughly half the survivors who play with crossplay off are big babies.

Like there’s broken shit on both sides, but the way to deal with is isn’t to ruin 4 other people’s fun every time you get downed in a way you think is unfair.

  5. One thing though. The first person to dc prolly doesn’t know you don’t have infantry belt. I’ve noticed in a typical game once one person dcs others usually become sheep and do the same. It could be different once people know there’s only one iri head at a time and they might actually try more.

  6. Survivors bring in a Key w/ Milky Glass and Weaved Ring use a Haddonfield offering – Killer DCs or gets a 0k and its "GGEZ Baby Killer" in end game chat — Killer uses Ultra Rare addon — "trash killer, noob, l2play, gitgud" in end game chat – Moral of the Story: Making Survivors happy isn't the Killers job, its to kill them. Even with a change to distance, they'll still complain and DC.

  7. Great video as always Spook! Try it again though a few weeks after the change is out since those players might be DCing thinking you've got multiple heads. I do like your solution better though.

  8. I prefer your idea of awarding distance. Downs from a single hit that can happen again and again for no reason other than an add-on just doesn't seem fair. You need to work for such an ability, not just get lucky enough to have it appear in your bloodweb.

  9. I wish they would completely change the add-on all together. I think everyone is getting frustrated with being insta-downed in general. I would have liked to see a change to the add-on that doesn't involve insta-down but was still really strong for the huntress.

For instance, and add-on that lets you keep the current hatchet count if you hatchet hits a survivor. So if you have 3 hatchets and you hit your hatchet, you would still have 3 hatchets. It would make late game hatchets very important, and could also pull you out of a bind if you have 1 hatchet left with 2 injured survivors trying to escape. You could limit usage like the belt's with this add-on to make it more balanced.
