Today we ask the age old question: “Is Dead by Daylight dying?” This video has been in the works for a long time, and hopefully it will have been worth the wait. We tackle 4 different asymmetrical games that have all taken a crack at trying to dethrone DBD as the king of the genre. Let’s see how it went.

Time Stamps for this video are:

  1. Its kind of funny that a recurring problem in every game of this genre seems to be that the poor helpless victims have too many ways to clown on and bully the murderers who are supposedly terrorizing them

  2. I don't really understand what Hellbend did wrong on the whole Lilli cosmetic thing.
If she left the program is it really that big a deal if it was her design? Were they just suppose to throw away all the work they put into it ?
It's not like she was a profesional designer either that they paid for the design. It was just a doodle she quickly made for them.
Am i missing something here? Why was this a issue?

  3. DBD ain't dying, it's just gotten stale despite the "meta shakeups". You can only do so much while running around wood after all.

To kill DbD… I don't know if it can be done, as surely some little community which would probably end up being super toxic for their trouble would always stay, but I've been wondering if all content creators suddenly decided to drop playing it. I'm certain they play big part why the game stays in peoples minds and keeps them playing.

I also have to vouch for taking a break, I keep taking breaks every now and then, and last one was pretty long (last november till the end last rift where I did the damn thing in like a week) and the game does tilt me way less or not at all. Like I get trubotunneling blights twice in row in the new event and I scoff at the classic behaviour during events, while I used to get tilted pretty fast due to burnout. And while I did say the break was long, I did play occasionally in between just not that much that I could say the game was the one I was playing, like maybe once every 2 weeks or so. Don't get caught up in fomo of rifts and whatnots, if you keep playing the game because you feel like you have to you end up not having good time. A little breaks and other games or activities can only do good.

  4. ig the reason dbd is dying is how it devolved from a game actually trying to be a good and fun game now became micro transaction hell, everything anyone hates about video games and this game is now a perfect example of that. sure the licenses are good but because of their focus on monetizations they really fell short, look at the reviews of the alien chapter. according to you it shouldve been one of the best yet its not very liked at all. the steep price and the lack of quality for the killer really dissapoints and shows how behavior prefers bottom line short gains over quality, the staple for a dying game.

  5. I'm frustrated with the fact that BHVR don't Add many more maps with different aesthetics or environments… 🙆🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ Hawkins Laboratory Underground Complex Map was my favourite Map because it felt so different from the other generic maps… The Worst Maps designwise are Decimated Borgo and Backwater Swamp in my opinion, I really miss Hawkins Laboratory map design, it felt so different from the others, with only Lery's Memorial Institute being close to that unique and specific map, I think we need more diverse maps like these that I mentioned, We need more diversity in the category of maps, because DBD have many more maps which in my opinion are pretty much the same, and indoor maps are very unique and authentic, because the scare factor it's much more unpredictable and impactful in these indoor maps environments If you ask me.. So please Mathieu Cote, make it possible that one day we will get more unique and authentic Maps, instead of our generic Maps that we already have, I know that BHVR can be more creative with Maps, so please make it happen… 🤷🏻‍♂️☯️✌️

  6. I clicked pause as soon as the video loaded. All i can say early on before watching to me crossplay is on right. I tried in the morning afternoon and then night. Today is Friday imma try again today. And see, the queues arent fast anymore if you are playing a certain role during a particular time of the day. Or at least for me they just take a wee bit too long for a game that did not have this issue a few months ago
