Ppl just need time to learn more. I played against a swf that knew how to counter xeno and i was only able to get 3 hooks lol my xeno cheeks got clapped hard
Is alien op no to me playing as them is probably the least fun I’ve had with a killer I hate the whole janky hitbox and the tail going through survivors thing the turrets get annoying on the survivor side I think their meh their are times it’s like nemesis you just cannot hear the wind up on the tail which makes some places just a loss but as whole for me their boring but I don’t mind them unlike 2 killers.
i think if people are allowed to stab me in the neck, hit me with flamethrowers, 3 flashlight hitmen squads, REASSURE SOMEONE IN NO NEED OF REASSURANCE, flashbang me, blastmine me, i should be allowed to be a strong killer like alien, WHO ISN'T EVEN OP i still get smacked around while learning. You said it best though survivors are just lazy and don't like learning counterplay or have the game be hard. If anything they should BUFF aliens tail
We have Nurse, blight, spirit and artist in the game. So a minor nerf is fine if anything. Maybe cooldown tail miss nerf or strengthen the turrets somehow.

So beating a low iq, low mmr player using xeno means he has counterplay. Using whataboutism, not addressing the main point the guy said is disingenuous. Can you adress him at least or have a discussion, it seems you are just using his points in bad faith and didnt even adress rhe most important one.
The only major issue for me personally there’s no cool-down for missing the tail, if you miss as nurse you get a massive cool-down and have to look at the floor, a missed tail recovers so quickly you can just spam it.
The green helmet addon is very opressive imo
You NEED two turrets to kick him out of his power which limits you to 2 save zones instead of 4 this coupled xeno not losing distance on tail makes him feel very strong
I literally never get kicked out of my power and barely lose distance when destroying turrets if they don't put 2 together and if they do I'll just zone em away from those turrets
My question is why do you get an auditory warning when all other killers pull up their ranged ability but not with the alien? Seems like a no brainier that would fix the issue entirely. It's currently a guessing game for survivors

Aside the missed attack being a little too forgiving and the bug where hitting a survivor is a bit more punishing than missing, i think Xenomorph is in a great spot
Ironically, i only main alien because of my huge love for the franchise, if alien wasnt the new chapter i would be maining hux as i love playing as him (i still play him a lot, especially since i dont like winning because of a alien tail move speed bug)
Partially related tho, i think emergency helmet needs a slight nerf (like just make it 25%) and maybe a minor buff to the turrets, also i think turrets should do more when spraying xeno out of power, like pause the recharhe for 5 seconds instead of it instantly recharging, and maybe also let survivors move a bit faster when placing a turret, and make turrets easier to place because holy fuck the placement restrictions give me a headache
i think the tail hitbox could be a little better, but the flame turrents are fine. they can give extra safety to weaker loops, like T L
They should revert the tail cooldown buff and they could possibly buff the turrets but I don't want xeno to end up being another singularity where 1 emp can literally shut down your kit and you can't do anything about it because it's ridiculously easy to use

I went against an alien and ot was really fun. I was able to get into his head and make him miss a lot and it's also fun running them into a turret
That one kid that made vid that "Alien is too op" was saying how "you dont do anything to get your power as xenomorph" as if you need to do anything to get your resilience or made for this. He is obvioulsy a survivor main and his extremely Biased takes show that he doesnt know how to counter him. He got used to play against killers that have to sweat their ass in order to somewhat catch up to survivors and now that there is killer that needs the same amount of effort in order to win as survivor, he immediately starts to complain
My only issue with calling the turrets counter play is that it is fully dependent on the xenomorph being bad.
A good xenomorph has no reason to be taken out of their power unless you double up turrets which is horribly inefficient and leaves huge areas of the map unprotected. Otherwise at most all they do is warn you of xenomorph coming/being near and buy you about 3-5 seconds.
The power is hated and labled as op because you have no time to actually react to the tail (Check for example Scott junds newest video as source). It feels like youre playing against a Huntress which has a hatched pulled up at all times and moves at 115% movement speed.
Also the flamethrowers are basically useless, because the alien has more than enough time to react + even if you use 2 it wastes a lot more time than it actually benefits you because she can just go back into the tunnel again and have her power up in seconds. The impact is just way too minor to matter in any significant way
The reason why killers like f.e. Wesker or Huntress are liked so much by a big part of the community is because they require skill to play and play against.
It feels like people forget that the killer SHOULD have the upper hand in chase
weskers counterplay is not the spray lol? thats like a very small part of his power
Top killers I've heard survivors love to play vs (albeit mostly content creators) wesker, Billy, Bubba, huntress… half of these are c tier at best very bullyable and the other 2 garner genuine respect due to skill requirements IF they happen to be pro lvl mains.
I don't trust survivor mains to comment of killers except in general terms at this point.

I thought he was OP, but no. He’s got an easy counter play, just throw pallets early and do gens. I’ve had survivors just throw every pallet before I could get an angle and then I’m just Gen rushed. Add on to that the turrets. Nah, he’s not OP

Yeah, for all those people who scream "Alien op plz nerf no counterplay" there's literally a video from Naymeti called "Looping the new Alien Killer with no perks". If there was no counterplay then videos like those wouldn't exist.
Even as someone who plays both roles roughly equally, I swear all I hear when I hear people/teammates complain is that they want every Killer to be Trapper and be able to listen to music while muting the game and still be able to run the Killer for several gens.
I fully admit the Xenomorph is very powerful, easily A-tier due to it's versatility, but nowhere near the level of Blight and Nurse. Hell even the tail attack itself (once the cooldown speed bug is fixed) is effectively a diluted version of Nemesis's tentacle: it has s shorter range (4.8m vs 5.0m at tier 1 & 2, 6m at tier 3) it can't break pallets and you can't strafe quite as easily but it comes out faster and you can attack upwards and downwards.
Since Wesker came out, no Killer has been dangerous enough to warrant actual caution and awareness for good Survivors. Dull Merchant and Knight can hold 3-gens forever but it's not a question of power at that point but of bad design, when played normally both them and the Singularity get regularly rolled on by good Survivors (as the Singularity is an M1 Killer for 80% of the game when Survivors are proactive with the EMPs, there's a reason nobody plays them anymore).
Xenomorph brings this back but without being absurd like Nurse, a Killer that actually has no counterplay since they removed flashlight interactions. Against Nurse your only hope is that the Killer player is bad and that the map rng gifted you a million LOS blockers. Xenomorph has to chase Survivors and can't close distance super quickly like Blight or Wesker if the Survivors have some kind of Haste perk (Lithe, Sprint Burst, Smash Hit, MFT+Hope etc.) and has no particular way to negate Hold W gaming.
The xenomorph is simply good hes not bad but also not nurse levels of powerfull,
The reason some say its op is because they cant just hardcounter its power with an item cough singularity *cough*, hes simply good and easy to pick up but a bit harder to master and thats good enough, its not like hes the only killer who has a ranged attack, aka: huntress,Nemesis,deathslinger,Pyramidhead,Artist and trickster.
You have my exact thoughts on this, it feels good, like I've had really good survivors dodge my tail based on audio que a lot of the time. It really is a skill issue and I find it kind of funny lol

Huntress, Wesker, nemi, demo ALL have tells when they are going to use there powers.
xeno has no tells, the turrets are useless you can not convince me otherwise, there is no counterplay with the tail because he can just run up and m1 you if you duke the tail because he just cuts off.
flamethrowers are useless. I've ran him through 2 turrets before, he's still in his power, and guess what, he can just get into tuneel for a few seconds see your footprints and continue chase.
no. the game is not easier for surviour, the game is the most killer sided it has ever been (apart from the call of brine eruption meta)

Pretty similar situation to when sadako got her rework. People absolutely malding that she’s op only to realize like a week later to just grab a tape at the start lmao. Alien is genuinely a pretty well balanced killer and is fun. You can genuinely just predrop and hold w just like every other antiloop killer anyway.
