  1. But do they understand why these perks are meta to begin with? I believe not because we all know that behaviour do not play their game. The only reason these changes are coming is because they’re threats to their title as king of a-sims we have options now and that scares behaviour because they are forced to actually work on their game rather then more cosmetics reskins to shove down our throats now they have to fix the 100+ Bugs in the game including the most recent ones that came with the mid-chapter like how half the killer roster are unplayable

  2. As much as I hate the mmr system it was necessary for the devs. It needed to happen otherwise idk if the devs were ever going to actually fix things and listen. They needed to see the stats and realize the game was getting really stale. These changes are just the beginning hopefully!

  3. In my opinion I disagree with the idea that they don't listen, but rather they listen to their own statistics rather then the community. This was the reason they implemented sbmm/mmr, of course it would take time for them to take these stats into consideration. The community in general tends to be wrong sometimes, to the detriment of the devs. The community is already so negative so why would the devs listen to them when they are already so negative about the state of the game. Now that they understand what is an unbiased solution they will hopefully remedy the problem without messing up.

  4. I'm taking a wait-and-see stance on this year. I'm stoked for the possibility of bots in custom matches come winter, but they've promised us much before without delivering (never forget it took five years and a scandal to introduce colorblind mode).

More than anything, I guess I'm worried about the upcoming perk rework. It sounds good on paper, but a lot of them (slowdown perks especially) were introduced as band-aid fixes for wider issues with the core game. Since they've only talked about reworking the perks without really addressing the reason those perks were introduced in the first place, I'm concerned that this is just going to end up being a blanket nerf to killers more than survivors, especially since the survivors are bafflingly getting a brand new generator repair speed perk. If anything, all this seems like it will change is the specific perks used. Everybody's still going to be running slowdown 24/7 since slowdown is the only thing that matters, killer-side. It'll just be a new set of 4 perks that everybody uses literally every game.

But who knows, maybe Behavior will blow my socks off this year with some crazy competency. If nothing else, whatever happens this year, it'll be hard to reach even lower than the lowest lows of last year.

  5. I think people have a jaded opinion on when the golden age of DBD was, objectively I think the game is getting better with them slowly fixing things. The older players just don't like the game as much because they've been playing the game so long there burnt out. Any game will be stale after playing it 5 years and no game really changes drastically on a month to month basis. The new "meta" change does scare me as a lot of there perk changes usually don't turn out good and people will ALWAYS complain about the meta no matter what the meta is so your not going to change that and to truly change the meta you would have to change the base game mechanics which won't happen either so idk. Your not going to stop Killers tunneling/camping/slugging so perks dealing with that will always be meta and your not going to stop survivors doing gen's so slowdowns or other gen perks will always be meta.

  6. im genuinely excited for the changes. I personally think it's gonna shake it all up so much and im just so ready for it. I get bored of using the same builds over and over so the fact they're gonna change that many perks makes me super happy!
