Now that Patch 6.1.0 is on live servers I see a lot of talk about it being killer sided but I have come to the conclusion that people are just relying to much on second chance perks and are now being punished for playing that way. Also M1 Killers are actually fun to play now!

I don't know y people r crying as a former dead hard player I've already found a new build and it's helped me escape a few games here and there
The games are too wild to understand the new perks for me. I'm hoping to play some custom matches to understand the update better
Definitely a killer sided patch, but I think it was needed. Just sick of getting rage quitters in every game
From my experiences so far, it initially might look like “Killers are strong now.” But to be honest in my Deathslinger MMR, I go against some really good players. But what I am noticing is that MANY people relied on DH to extend chase or gain distance. A lot of people now don’t have that and honestly? Don’t know how to loop.
Survivors have lost a perk the literally clutched chases and saved time, especially in a 4 stack of DH. So I think killers are finally back in a good healthy spot, and survivors are too. But too many people relied on DH to save them, and without it they have to relearn new ways to loop. (Honestly me being one of them, as I was an avid DH user on Survivor as well.)

I think a lot of the problem is that you can't get BBQ stacks anymore. Killers used to be nicer and build up BBQ stacks over getting quick kills, and it made for a more chill game. Now that there's no point in getting a hook on everyone, survivors suffer. That; in addition to the(overtuned imo) gen speed, and all of the small 10% buffs to killer and the removal of the biggest crutch perk ever add up to survivors with worse survivability and killers that play the META(i.e camping, tunneling and slugging)
I never used Dead Hard so it’s funny to see all of the people mad. The only meta perk I used was Borrowed Time, and I made it to rank 1 every time easily so I’m not mad about the perk changes. The only thing that I think is too Killer sided is the increased generator time, it’s harder to make plays because of the increased time really

Today was my first day of playing the patch, i played with so many different fun builds like deliverance kinship, tenacity unbreakable, every single survivor game i play, we got 4k slugged. 1 MATCH, we got 3 people out the killer played very poor and camped the last hook. 1 MATCH out of all of them we got aaanybody out. I went and played killer and won every match. Idk but thats my experience so far.
I wished they buffed more of the non meta survivor perks, All perks just feel kinda bad now.

Been like two days… out of all the survivor matches i played, i have not escaped. I hate from what they did to iron will. Idc about any other meta perks like DH or DS.
Personally, I don't mind the dead hard nerf. The problem is that survivors can't even get a distance anymore when getting hit by the killer because of the duration of the sprint nerf and the successful basic attack cd buff for the killers. Killers are now running 4 regression perks over the fact that gen fix time got increased. Based on my experience (around 15 games as survivor) killers that arent even that good still gets 4k.

Im ok with every change honestly but the 2 that I think are sort of a little over tuned is the built-in save the best for last and 90 second gens. the gens should be 85 in my opinion and the save the best for last was kind of unnecessary
The Update was defo Killer sided. 10% recovery, breaking pallets & Now the stubborn killers bloodlust every pallet & I mean EVERY pallet 😂 the only thing I don’t really think should’ve been is have a quicker recovery & survivor gets less distance per hit I think 1 at a time to see how it would balance Personally idk why people are thinking dead hard is dead😂 I successfully done it probably like 85 times with only 4 fails & Always loop for 3 Gens guaranteed Y’all are Sleeping ,Meanwhile solo q team mates are having a Hard time adjusting with 30sec chases/ DCs. Killers got 4 base-kit buffs survivors got base-kit 2 nerfs with a safehook base-kit. I am glad M1 killers have more of a chance though meaning more people will change up who they play instead of Constant M2 Killers only.The best changes I believe were Taking away Dead Hard for distance, DS and Off the record disabling at end game and corrupt intervention disabling when a killer gets a down and ruin when A survivors dies. I play an equal of 2 Hours as both sides daily so I don’t wanna hear any of these specific Side Mains with a biased opinion but im up for debate if you disagree
All the perks nerfs are fair imo except for decisive bruh killers camp even more now I feel decisive could’ve been 3 second stun but stay during endgame. Also I think they need to bring hatch back to the old way but keep the hatch animation it has now
I love this update. Played 6 hours of survivor and 2 of killer since it came out and i love how people use different builds. People were getting carried by dh and now some are crying because they dont know how to loop

I think the patch is too much. Some of the changes were cool but I think bloodlust, spine chill (not the action speed), thana, ds (excluding the deactivation) and the distance survivors made being hit needs to be reverted. Otherwise it's fine imo.
Yous are thinking in a comp dbd streamer environment you do realise casuals or just new people who play can still get rekt by teams so they needed to make it like that do u know how fookin off putting the game was for new players wanting to play killer???? Stop being so selfish
Lmao you people keep saying dead hard this and dead hard that but really it’s not dead hard it’s how they over buffed the killers while us survivors get our perks nerfed so fast. If they increased the gen times they should increase hook timer as well.
Wrong it just is and I never use ass hard or dog shit strike or any other super meta perk I only use spine,urban,bounce,and adrenaline and it's way more throwing games and still have tunnel/camping problems so no this game was first good balanced then went to survive sided to now killer sided
the game is balanced survivors now have to actually hide and not get chased by the killer running infront of killer and trying to get them to chase you is no longer an option because you could swiftly die easily now you have to actually play the way the game was intended hide dont get caught and if you ahve to run you need to learn when killer cant see you and stop to walk or hide so killer cant see your scratch marks or keep running and get found its that simple.
i also feel like they need to make it so onryo can walk through walls
The issue is that a bunch of survivor perks (Very broken ones too) were nerfed which was very healthy for the game. DH was such stupid perk that it could make anyone who had an 'e' key look like a fucking pro. However, the same wasn't done for MANY broken or "meta" killer perks. The hardest nerf to be honest was ruin's nerf. However, ruin wasn't a fucking crutch perk. It rewarded killers for doing their jobs, getting off gens. The only crutch perk both sides had were DH and NOED. There was no nerf to NOED besides the stupid notification of its location in which by that point, either all survivors left or died.
The swing reduction, pallet break speed, vaulting speed, and whatever other things they buffed clearly makes this a killer sided patch. How is it fair tha survivors don't have a crutch perk at all, but killers do? How is it fair that the new killer meta will probably be STBFL combined with whatever killer can reach all survivors. I mean I have played 12 games so far as demogorgon with tier 2 STBFL and have only had one game end with a 2k instead of a 3k or 4k.
Also the removal of bp bonuses to bbq and wglf was just unneeded. Again, BBQ is going to stay in the meta. Its still that good of a perk. WGLF however is literally going to be a perk that is only carried around in full 4 man swfs that have boon exponential and whatever other boon perks exist.
Boons are another topic. While I believe this entire update was killer sided, I would have much rather had a nerf to some shit like head on or some other shit than keep boons the way they are. In their current state, boons literally can be put over and over and over and the killer is now forced to waste a perk slot just in the hopes that survivors run boon perks.
The DS nerf was unnecessary. The WGLF nerf was unecessary. The nerf to survivor gen speeds was unnecessary. The nerf to BBQ was unecessary. The nerf to Pain resonance was unecessary.
BHVR did really good things in this update, but it still feels as if itwas influenced heavily by killers who wanted to make the game easier when playing killer than having a balanced fair game.
