Is the Trickster the worst killer in Dead by Daylight? I believe so and explain my reasons why. The Trickster is the new killer in Dead by Daylight and is currently available to try in the PTB for DBD 4.6.0. These are just my thoughts on the new chapter but particularly the new killer. I am happy with the perks but disappointed especially after chapter 18 so rant with my thoughts.

Let me know your thoughts on the matter as always.

  1. Yes, yes he is.
I can't stand him also, he's a skinny little weakling.
David King could 1v1 this loser, let alone four survivors jumping on him at the same time.
I want killers who look like they could kill someone, not cry about living in a society as a jarred leto wannabe

  2. Honestly your right. just look at the video frow 0:35 to 0:54. During that encounter it would have been for easier to just go up there and hit him instead of throwing knives at him for 20 seconds. If you want a killer that throws multiple projectiles play the plague Who can hit someone once, and they still get broken or she gets to hit them. not hitting them 18 times just to down them. around tight loops he's worthless, and i agree that he sucks.

  3. Change my mind guys and girls! Comment below with a video of this killer winning against good survivors! Why should I play him rather than huntress, deathslinger or plague???

  4. I have a feeling you'll see a lot more Blight's when this chapter drops to live now that his height and collisions are fixed.
As for Trickster I feel the frustration and do think he could do with some tweaks to make him more viable. I've been playing him none stop since PTB released and have found I do best when I don't focus on going for knife hits. More often than not it's way easier and convenient to just M1 than it is to spam knives at survivors and spend extra time to get a down. I know that defeats the purpose of his power but its not like there aren't powers like this already in the game. I mean, you can't use Billy or Bubba's chainsaws on every loop or tile because in some situations they just aren't viable to use over an M1. The same applies to Trickster. I've been doing well by using my knives to bait survivors into zoning themselves while I close the distance for an M1 and saving my M2 damage for when they're either moving between loops through a dead zone or when they vault windows or drop pallets. This is the best way I've found for getting use from his power. That being said though I definitely would make some changes to him before he hits live. Maybe lower his knives to injure counter from 8 to 6 or something. And possible make him 115% movement speed when M1ing but when he aims his knives then slow him to 110%. I can see why people say he's low tier and I can agree with that but regardless of his tier placement I'll definitely still play him just because of how fun he is!

  5. Just found your channel through suggested and I enjoy your calm, collected, and logical analysis. Your thoughts are pretty much my exact same as well. If you ever wanna do some duo topic conversations on DBD like meta, balance, perks, new content etc let me know. I've got near 7,000 hours in the game with R1 on both sides since near game release. I enjoy analytical conversations for improving the game.

  6. So, here's the idea I had that would make him at least equal to huntress and deathslinger. Make him move 4.6 normally and 4.4 while throwing, keep it 8 hits to down survivors, but, headshots count for 3, body shots count for 2, and arms and legs count for 1. And lastly, laceration progress isn't lost until survivors stop and do a mending-like action in which they are "removing" the knives that were thrown. Make these changes and he'd at least be on equal ground to our current ranged survivors. And yes I know the other ranged base speed is 4.4, but I think 4.6 and dropping to 4.4 while throwing makes more sense because of the multiple projectile hit requirement. Whatcha think? Would that make him a more worthy killer in good hands?

  7. I think the reason why they have been releasing killer that aren’t very strong is because when a good killer is released everyone gets all mad and says there boring for example pyramid head
And I think they are scared for another spirit because of the backlash
