Today online gaming news website Eurogamer dot net reported that none other than Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider franchise is poised to debut as the new survivor in Dead By Daylight on July 16th! We’ll also be able to see Lara in game and test her new perks in the upcoming PTB (Public Test Build) on Steam. Let’s read all about it!

Lara Croft definitely makes sense. She could easily stumble upon something ancient in a tomb that leads back to the entity. Tomb Raider is my favorite gaming franchise and I'll gladly play her in my favorite multiplayer game so I am ready.

I definitely wouldn’t say it’s her first outing into horror. Some of the games have very “scary” supernatural moments with zombies and ghouls of sorts
I hope they don't forget that it's a horror game. At some point, characters from another universe will have no connection to the game. I hope that one day they will continue to create their own characters with a real story behind them.

at first, i didn't really think that she fit, but looking back, she's definitely faced some scary shit and she definitely fits the definition of "survivor." just give me her outfit from angel of darkness and/or legend and we'll be good, haha.
DBD jumped the shark long ago. I don't care anymore, frankly. They'll be adding slenderman, FNAF and all the PG13 bs they can because all they care about is making money and exposing their product to the largest audience possible. DBD is no longer a horror game.
This will have me reinstalling! HUGE lara Croft fan. If your a true fan you know her games have MANY horror elements.

Hey, Paulie. While playing today, I got a loading screen with a phrase from a dev saying "I can't believe it's been three years and no one found the easter egg about [redacted] in [redacted]". Three years ago it was released the first Resident Evil DLC, and I remember that they said in a livestream that RPD would have a new way to escape. As far as I know, no one has found it yet. Do you know something about it?
I can buy that Lara Croft is a "survivor", but to me it just reeks of "we'll take whatever license we can get". At least DnD has creepy monsters, metal bands have horror esthetics, and Nic Cage is just so out there that it works. But at this point, it's like there's no line they won't cross. We went from "Hall of Fame of Horror" to "Museum of Horror" to just straight up Fortnite.

My my my … Lara Croft is my very first experience with a story rich game. I was playing platforms and random games until then and the moment I tried that game randomly as a bored child in an adult party that got sent to play on the PC to occupy me, I was hooked. I think that is the very moment I became a gamer girl 😀 .. I begged my dad a lot and somehow he got the cd for us to install on his computer. I don't think I passed the 1st chapter because I was still an elementary girl back then but I played it a lot. It is awesome to see her coming in the fog! 😀
Now to Mori her as Trickster, Legion, Ghostie and Knight

Paulie any thoughts on the new yearly trend~ 4 licensed character chapters and 1 original chapter? Last DbD year was Ellen Ripley, Alan wake, nic cage, Aestri from D&D with Sable being the only original.
The next DbD year is starting with Lara Croft and castlevania soon after.
Both ways are good but I wonder if we’ll ever see a year with 4 original chapters and 1 licensed again (:
You can do a cheap Lara with nea. Red glasses l,green shirt and short shorts.
Next they should get Crash Bandicoot as a survivor, since those games had horror elements in them too. Luigi would also be pretty cool- I heard he was even in a haunted mansion.
