  1. Rename "the Nightmare" to "The Slasher"

    Get rid of the dream state Power as it's useless. Freddy doesn't need gimmicky bullshit.

    – Grant the ability to teleport out of Survivors' bodies as well as out of generators (including completed generators).

    – Injuring Survivors / stepping in blood trails / following scratch marks charges power.

    – Performing above mentioned actions charges power in 30 Seconds.

    – Not performing above mentioned actions will not charge power.

    Make dream snares & dream pallets part of the actual power.

    – If looking at the ground in front of a pallet / window / staircase / door the place dream snare prompt will appear.

    – If looking at a broken pallet the place dream pallet prompt will appear.

    – Chasing Survivors / breaking pallets, walls & kicking generators will fill charges faster.

  2. I honestly think Houndmaster has officially beat Freddy for worst killer. I mean yeah she can send the dog to finishes generators but that’s like one of the least useful abilities in the game because she has to follow its path to get there and put her only power on cooldown for the duration of that. If she gets into chase with a survivor on the way, she has no power until the dog finishes the search and returns to her. And her power is just buggy and the slowdown feels awful.

  3. Not only should he be able to tp to finished gens, but they should be faster to tp to and trigger a shorter cooldown. After all these aren't survivor objectives anymore.

  4. My problem with Freddy as a killer when he’s a good or a bad killer is that he bases himself around a passive ability. That’s bad for him and bad for the survivors because he’s more limited in how he uses his power, and survivors are essentially dealing with two things fighting them at once, which just is not fun.

  5. I made this over a year ago but i still like some of the ideas i added

    Dream Demon (Power)

    I would have freddys original power back where awake survivors cannot see him, get injured by him and only hear his lullaby when he's super close. I would also return his ability to pull survivors to sleep but without the penalty of a slow down and the beam will show nancy scream and put survivor to sleep would be a big circle about the size or bigger than a generator so you can pull in multiple survivors at once. (Another idea would to be like doctors shock where if youre in a certain radius of freddy u pull anyone in there. Asleep survivors now can get injured by freddy and fall for his traps. Pulling survivors to sleep will prevent the timer from pausing when waking up. Freddy will also be invisible to asleep survivors if he is far away enough. And see survivors outside his terror radius. Survivors will fall asleep every 60 sec. Survivors that wake each other up will pause the sleep timer for 60 sec if Freddy didn't pull them to sleep. (Freddy can still pull them to sleep). You can also wake up when any generator your working on blows up by any means (this includes killer perks), injuring yourself will not wake you up or if youre hooked because in the movie people are hooked and it's cool to think that there are survivors trapped in the dream world. While asleep you can still hear freddy lullaby and terror radius like The Huntress.

    The Dreamworld

    Bleeding Generators and Totems – In the dreamworld every generator and totem will visually bleed. Bleeding generators will visually be bleeding and the progress bar would visually be at 0% same with the pistons moving even if the generator was being worked on. For example if a survivor is doing a generator that is at 80% and falls asleep the generator will visually look like it's at 0% to the survivor but when the survivor does 20% it will be complete. If this is too strong maybe you can still hear the generator but it's very quiet and doesn't have a certain audio where you can tell if it has a lot of progress or not. Bleeding totems will visually bleed and make all the totems including hex totems appear as dull totems.

    Dream Generators – Since being asleep causes all the generators to bleed and visually look to be at 0%, any generator that has been completed will become dream generators (also will add generators in the dream world that are fake)Dream generators can be worked on by survivors to waste their time and the only way they can tell they are working on a dream generator is if they remember which generators are done, if its a SWF and the other person is awake and can see the completed generator, and missing a skill check wont wake up the survivor but instead will play a freddy laugh which will notify freddy and reveal your aura or heartbeat. Maybe another way you can tell what is a dream generator is it can’t consume or use any perks on it. For example it wont build up meter for a flash bang, won't consume tool box usage, cannot put wiretap or a flash bang on it, can't be kicked by freddy, and wont blow up if the freddy is using jolt or irruption or any type of gen regression perk. But i personally will still have it consume items also dream generators can be teleported too

    Slow down – The most controversial change I would probably make is to apply the old ruin effect where hitting a great skill check will simply progress the generator at the same pace and hitting a good skill check will damage the generator by 5% to any asleep survivor. This will probably be the biggests thing to motivate survivors on waking up. Also it will be better to slow down imo then what we have right now and it kinda fits with his power.

    Chase potential

    Dream pallets – will be base kit and have unlimited usage and can be placed where a broken pallet was or where they should be

    Dream doors – will be base kit and have unlimited usage and can be placed where a broken door was or where they should be. Sort of like doctors imaginary pallets where you can just go through them but when you go through them blood falls on you (like when you drop a dream pallet on freddy) and the wall disappears but it notifies freddy.
    If these dream items are too strong maybe they could be like snares or dream pallets are like now where there is a limit and you’ll have to keep cycling and probably share a spot.

    Snares – Snares will be base kit and will be longer and maybe thicker. (something similar as the light under the artist crow). Walking on these snares will cause the hindered status effect (or similar slow down like 1 pinhead chain) and cause the survivor to scream. This would be a cool reference to Rooney Mara who played Nancy running into the hallway which becomes blood.

    No clocks because the clocks were just a bad implement because no one would ever just wake each other up

  6. It's actually crazy that the first change freddy got after the 2021 nerfs was on the unkown patch, which gave the killer instinct to cat and z block (they also buffed the blindness addons by 30 seconds, but no one uses these addons).
    Correct me if im wrong but freddy is the only killler that cannot use their power to tunnel (I know that someone like, Myers wouldn't benefit from using hia power in a situation like that but he can still get stalk), if you hit a survivor through endurance they don't fall asleep, so they'll only be sleeping when you down them or 60 seconds passes but at that point the game's already over

  7. That freddy shambling in the distance was so cool!

    Anyway, cool video. I like the ideas mostly… Shade seems like a cool ability, but I think he should also keep snares. Not having them hurt him on low wall loops where shade can not be mindgamed. Or maybe make it so you can teleport to a shade?

    Also, if Snares were to stay, i'd like the hindered to go up since they are harder to use than a clown bottle, so it shouldn't just be the same.

  8. I think i'm qualified to be more interested in him than you sir. I literally told myself: "i'm not playing this game until he is reworked". I was one of the few freddy mains since he came out.,

    Also his whole identity is that they're incapable of being hurt by freddy if they're not already dreaming which brings me to what a true freddy fan wants: "untargetable survivors if not in dream, completely invisible and with a lullaby only but gives him an insane reward for dreaming survivors with m2 instead of the old aura reading". This stuff needs to be part of his kit or i'm not playing him.

    Overall the goal of him should not be "strong killer" but "fun killer" all revolving around tricking the survivors and being mischievious while doing it. Its a killer that controls the dream world and anything within it is under his direct influence. I do not give a flying fuck if he is strong, this killer back in his first look when he came out was by far the most fun killer to me. He was played so different compared to anything else in the game and was the only killer that felt good to me. To me it felt like a strategy game, yes you were not able to hit them imidietly but you felt in control because they literally could not see you and you're able to come at them from anywher eyou desired. So what you would do is: Hit m2, run behind somewhere, and the ncome at them from directly infront of them. It was genius.

    Also the dream projection is just a terrible power, its not fun to do and should just be removed. Add something else entirely.

Really was enjoying the video but subbed when you said “I’d take that nerf if only one person got to enjoy the game more.” And I think you really meant that, need waaay more positivity like that in this and the general gaming community!   10. I kinda wanted Freddy to have a mixture the knight and the Doctor. Making an ai copy of himself to chase survivors. But with 2 stages. Wake stage- if the clone hits the survivors it won't hurt the survivor but put them in the dream stage and give noise notification. But in dream stage , if the clone hits you. It causes the survivor to scream and have the oblivious effect on them.then clone disappears. The clone would have the same terror radius. Survivors have to gamble if Freddy is really chasing you, or toying with you.
