NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN!! | Dead by Daylight

With these new changes coming in, we have the chance to see a different gameplay loop here, from Killers leaving hooks, less tunneling, less camping and more gameplay focused on sabotage and hooking control! With gens being a little easier to defend and pallets easier to get rid of, chasing will be more fun and camping less apealing to the killer! WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS!

For my input, my feelings over all is it’s going to encourage more chases and hook stages and less tunneling / camping as the gen speeds should technically be slowed down somewhat, with faster chases (quicker pallet kicks / hit cooldowns and speed off hits slowed) meaning more saves to perform as well as the 2.5% base kick with overcharge and call of brine stacks, jolt clutchs meaning survivors won’t want to stack up or do gens under the killer as it will just be constantly smashed. Slowing down gens even more. You can go into the detail but I think this is what they are looking at.

More about Dead By Daylight:

A group of up to four survivors must elude one killer. The survivors’ perspectives are third-person, while the killer’s perspective is first-person. The survivors cannot fight against the killer and can only survive by running away and evading them. They must use obstacles in the form of wooden pallets, windows, and items that they either find inside chests or bring before the match starts to run from the killer for as long as they can. In order to escape, survivors must repair 5 generators scattered across the entire map to power the exit gates, then they must open the exit gates and leave the area themselves or find a hatch to jump into.

  1. Finally. I knew you would be the only one I could get honest review with. Watching so many people look at changes and just suck off devs is annoying. Thank you jay for being real

  2. Thank you for uploading the info.
Ruin is high risk high reward, survivors who don't like ruin , search for the totem.
    Ruin shouldn't be altered.
But apart from that, I'm quite happy with everything.
Some perks I never use, so most won't affect me as killer

  3. OK I’m just going to say this if they just remove the bonus so it doesn’t stack when you do use self care for anything But now it’s just ridiculous even more so I mean I’m not mad I just forgets funny how people think it’s over powered if he just remove the bonus it’s still going to take a long time for people to heal by itself

  4. What I don’t understand is that ruin is basically being thrown away when it’s a hex perk which can easily be popped off while 🙄 overcharge goes from 100% regression to 400% and not being a hex perk….. like…. Huh? Killers are just going to use that perk along with the twins gen kick perk and it’ll be more meta Lmaooooo

  5. So camping, tunneling and slugging will still be viable strats .
It’s just that hit and run strat and hunting and evasion is being more incentivised
Ruin for example; if no one dies does it stays? So you wouldn’t want to camp out one at a time and spread hooks out more ?

  6. 10 seconds is nothing, when they nerfed the best slowdown perks. plus tool boxes, recharge tool boxes. buffed Suvivor perks, plus other faster gen perks. borrowed time being base should have just been the perk, and removed it. the way it reads if they still bring it. that's 15 seconds and 14% haste. they just encourage camping and we'll see tons of bubba's. I like the shrine making the basement scourge. because they can't break those. but overall this is a band-aid. after the anniversary and these changes the player count will go down again. Plus they removed ranks from showing after the match, Because the devs said this caused arguments. Now they will show prestige… and people won't be like I'm more prestigious than you are how did you win. just stupid all around.

  7. As a survivor main, I'm happy they're trying to make the killer a "forced to be reckoned with" again. Watching survivors crapping all over the killer, who should be in charge, was very boring and stupid to the point the game was losing its identity.

  8. I've only been playing "DBD" for a few weeks now, so I don't know enough about the perks in-depth to really have much of an opinion on any of this, but your channel has been my go-to for videos related to the game. Thanks, boss. Keep up the good work!

  9. Great video. Glad to hear your opinions on all the changes. I think they’re great for the most part and I’m excited to see how it’ll all play out.

The one I’m most concerned about is off the record being 80 seconds. End game it’ll be free escapes. Mid match gives survivors time to get healed and potentially take 2 protection hits. Things may get crazy with that perk.

  10. Dead by Daylight was my favorite game for a couple years. I stopped playing because I was just walking over killers, and there was no Horror, or intensity in the matches anymore. I'm nervous about these changes, as I use a couple of the meta perks, but I am excited to see the killers get a buff they have needed. I've been getting back into the game the past couple days, and haven't been impressed with the matches, but hopefully that will change and I can enjoy this game again.

  11. I maybe misunderstanding part about grind reduction, but they are making this "75% less grind" assumption on a basis that you are actually use all your characters. Which, i feel, is true only for a handful of content creators. Me, personally, i play 3 killers and 1 survivor (they different only appearance-wise so what's the point). So, i naturally care only about getting all perks only on those characters. And if i will ever want to level up another character and unlock all perks on them, it would require from me to P3 every other characters which is about 4.5 million bp EACH. Seems to me they increased the grind not lessen it.

  12. From the perspective of someone who plays both sides but prefers killer, I think Ruin, Pop and Iron Will were overnerfed.

I actually really love the idea of Iron Will turning off with exhaustion, but making it only 75% noise reduction is too much. And Ruin deactivating after a survivor dies would've been enough, it's only a problem for new players who don't know the totem spawn locations. For everyone else it doesn't last long enough to get value a lot of the time even at 200%.

Pop I'm conflicted on and need to see it in practice. Might be fine. It's now basically something you apply with Eruption, Overcharge, or Call of Brine, rather than those perks being extra effects added on to gens you kicked with Pop.

  13. I do wonder if they'll combine SC and BK in one someday to make SC more viable, but I doubt that completely.
I'm going to feel a bit naked since Claudette is the only survivor I use. But I think I should be fine.
But I'm okay eating since it looks like DH got rid of the I-frames by the look of it. No real complaints.

  14. They really should've looked at huntress's perks. she has the most unused perks out of any killer i think. nobody likes territorial imperative or the perk where you're undetectable for bloodlust. both are positively useless
