  1. They are doing the same thing like they did with Sadako.

Giving survivors way too much counterplay. It’s like they are babying survivors. “Can’t make the game too hard for them. The killer should never be a threat, just a minor inconvenience.”

Everything should be invisible and if not invisible, the killer should be undetectable while summoning a guard.

  2. I think the green mist can still be visible just faster, a lot faster. Speed and cast time.

The detection range needs to go tho. Like 100% gone. Like the devs can change it to line of sight if they want so you can crouch behind stuff. But visible ring is a no go

  3. Holy shit being able to see the detection circles and the green thing is ridiculous, you can literally walk around the guards without any sense of danger as long as you just dodge the white circles. Visual design however amazing as always

  4. Well, if survivors can't see it then how can they easily counter it.
I do love the narrative of a bugged killer with no power can get a "NEW OP KILLER" Video
But if a survivor perk gets nerfed from game breaking to fair it's called a dead perk.

  5. Maybe he’s better played as an area denial killer? Since they can see your minions’ auras, they will avoid it, so maybe have them always run through gens to keep them off.

  6. The way you played him (placing them in front) is the correct way to do it since the guards will go from the end of the projected line to where the knight starts the line, essentially moving into the survivor rather than away.

  7. Okay from this perspective…being able to see the minion's proximity ring as a survivor, is hurting the purpose of them being on the hunt (not defeating the purpose, but not helping at the same time). And also, I too thought the guard summoning mode was…idk…INVISIBLE???

  8. Welp GJ BHVR. This update was basically the only chance they had to pull me back before I just gave up on them and they already fucked it up. Any amateur with even a basic understanding of game design (yes, hi, hello) should be able to tell you all the reasons having his tells this readable is a foundational failure from conception of playstyle. The fact BHVR even considered the idea this was okay is just a testimony to their comical ineptitude.

If he gets pushed to live anywhere near in this state I'm probably just gonna cut my losses and uninstall this game. Every time BHVR takes a step forward with their design philosophy they take seven steps backwards, and every time I become lenient towards giving them a chance again, they prove they're just as incapable as ever.

  9. similar to the artist set a guard/bird than survivor run to a different loop but the artist does her summoning much quicker.
He also can patrol 3 gens well like the artist by the look of it.

  10. If they can see your ability, then why the fuck cant you see them when your using it, they are so unfair to killers its insane at this point you might as well just give him a wiffle bat instead of a sword like wtf

  11. Sadly, I agree. Being able to see the circles is absolutely ridiculous (I do think there should be an audio cue though, so you don’t end up accidentally bumping into them in indoor maps).

That being said, while I understand the fighting game analogy, I somewhat disagree. Usually in FGs the attacks that will open you up unless you guess correctly require a setup to be pulled off (typically a knockdown). Some killers in DBD can force it for free (nurse and old spirit mostly, although you could say spirit had to earn it too to a degree, because the first hit was significantly harder to get). That’s why Oni is considered so well designed. He’s power is insane, but he has to earn it first. Same with plague, but she’s a bit more RNG reliant

  12. I myself really dislike how survivors can see all this information because it's not like any of it is guaranteed damage at all on survivors. It gives them the information they need to hold W away from the danger and make the killer's power utterly pointless. He's an M1 killer so he HAS to rely on his power to get hits versus good survivors. With the state his power is in, I don't think he's getting hits at all with his power outside of a chase.

  13. I also believe that the apparitions disappear too quickly. Not only can you see their patrol area but they are only there for a little bit. Don’t get me wrong, I like what they’re going for but I believe they’re playing it too safe
