To be honest, I saw a neck with the head twisted off when first saw the picture.
When it’s upside down, it looks like an opened portal that is projecting the survivors campfire in the distance between two dead trees, shrouded by fog almost as to make everything else nonexistent. I don’t believe this is a physical representation of the new killer, or a perceived image of it. But if it were an image of a being, I would venture to say it’s the dredge.
The picture makes me think slenderman but if it’s not licensed then dam this is probably going to have major slenderman influence which would be amazing
I have a theory that the killer power pits a survivor in a trance and they get sent to a mini trail like how the Halloween event was and gotta escape it and while they are in the trance the killer controls the survivor, or the survivors gotta. Snap them out of it like Freddie’s dream world.

I don’t see any of the things you speculated. Based on the bottom edges of the white piece, I see a bust, like a head and neck of what Ryan’s seeing. I feel like that jibes with the previous descriptions of the creature as “twisted torso,” etc.
I wish they would do more of these for licensed chapters, recently we only get one teaser that usually straight up tells us what it is and that’s it.

The killer is clearly a snowman from the christmas event
I always had a feeling it would take direct action in the trials. Though I was hoping for the entity puppet idea instead, having the entity inhabit a hollowed out shell of a survivor that it could no longer feed from and killed to interfere in trials where survivors or even possibly killers aren’t feeding the entity enough.
This could be slender man or skin walker. I don’t know, but I can’t wait for the chapter to come.❤️
I think what's happening here is that these are leaks for the new map and what happened was that the entity has managed to take an entire town instead of just 1 or 2 people. These monsters sound alot like the entity monsters we've seen before in the lore.
