  1. bodyblocking, teaming up with a killer, dropping pallets so the killer can catch a survivor, going to a spot where the killer cant catch you, abusing glitches, bugs and and… if you do that go cry, take the ban and learn it for your life, DONT BREAK THE RULES! and he is not getting banned for 1x, he do that often, so go cry

  2. Why doesn't Behavior design the game to prevent these issues? It's absurd that with all their money and success, they can't find a solution. What if, after 60 seconds of standing still, the player's body collider disables just like it does when they get hit? You can't ban a player for using the tools provided, toxic or not—it's on the dev team to fix these issues so players can't abuse them. From the killer's POV, if they move, there's a high chance a healthy survivor would escape once the gate opens, especially with the speed boost they get when hit. The survivor would need to make a major mistake for the killer to actually win, so tactically, this is the best option, toxic or not. It's the dev team's fault that this happens, not the player's.

  3. I do not know Carol, but after situations like this and how the community can be, I never trust “this is my first ban”. And I don’t see how bhvr could get spiteful at him over anything. I feel like we are missing something here but idk what it could be

  4. No hacks, tools, mods, or cheat engine just banned by playing the game.
Wow amazing totally respecting your time. This is peak clownery.
As a game dev myself I think they should fix their game instead of shitting on their player base due their lack of foresight.

See just run a check on the player and the killer to see if the player is moving but not gained distance and the killer is standing still ands within distance and if all true for 15 seconds disable killer control and collision for 3 seconds making the player escape instead of banning players.

I think you shouldn't be banned on any game for whatever reason without hacks.
What they are doing is like putting a bandaid on a burnt arm.

  5. Honestly when it comes to this stuff I don't think it matters who is right in this scenario, to me the moral is blame the game not the players. Ultimately something in the game needs to change when it's down to 2 survivors. It is incredibly stupid for everyone involved that when there are 2 survivors left, getting on gens is just a death sentence. Not sure exactly what can be done, but I honestly don't blame any of the players here, the game is literally incentivizing them to do this, and I will always say that is the game's fault.

  6. had a game with 4 rebbeccas that did not touch generators nor activate crows. all distortion calm spirit and just hid. I ended up getting all 4 within 28 minutes and the last two i double downed with wesker slugged for 3 minutes 59 then hooked.

  7. Honestly the fact that behaviours response to situations like this is not to change the game in some way to make them impossible or less frustrating but rather just ban everyone who uses the in game mechanics to accomplish this shows a profound laziness and mismanagement/prioritization in my opinion.

  8. He hopped on Twitter and said “worth it I don’t care” would a behavior employee not read that and be like ok this person could very likely end up being a repeat offender and they obviously don’t have any remorse so why not just perma ban to get ahead of this issue? Not to mention he also said in the video that he WANTED to hold the ada hostage for the full hour even though that isn’t what ended up happening. Gloating about it was like actually the dumbest thing he could’ve done.

  9. NGL people take this game too seriously. Is it annoying that survivors hide? Sure, but you know what’s more annoying? Wasting even MORE time trying to prove a “point” to them. Just kill the Ada and go next.

  10. The saddest part here is that we all know Carol is gonna be unbanned cause of all Twitter drama happening — but players with no community protection aren't. BHVR randomly permabanned my 7.2k hours account 4 months ago. P100 Meg, P100 Cheryl, almost P100 Nemesis, over 1 000 $ spent on it, hundreds of skins unlocked since when I'd started playing in 2020 — all of it is gone now. To this day I still don't know the reason — I reached out to BHVR and they never replied, cause they only do if you might cause a Twitter drama.

A few months later after the ban I bought a new PC a made a new Steam account so I won't be HWID banned again as soon as I launch the game, so the ban didn't really affect me that much. I was going to buy a PC anyways. But there are probably hundreds of players with the same situation as me who can't just buy a new PC — I consantly see them on Twitter trying to reach out to BHVR, and it never works. Less than 1000 followers = "sorry, we don't care, here's your autoreply, sweetheart".

  11. He had a previous account which was permabanned for save editing items into his inventory. After they gave him his two week griefing ban they realized he was the same person as the previously banned account so they permabanned his new one. Still not a reason to perma ban someone for not recomitting an offense of TOS or whatever bhvr shoves down our throats as backup

  12. I thought they had something where you could walk through AFK killers. Guess that's Twins exclusive. For some reason.

You know, if BHVR wanted to stop getting embarrassed so much then they should actually put stuff in to deal with things like that.

  13. Coming back to this with a clear mind, i still believe the initial ban was warranted like you said, and an extension after yapping on twitter woulda made sense, but a permaban, as long as they haven't been banned before, is total overkill.

I hope it gets looked at, but it won't shock me if the ban is final.

  14. as a survivor main, i gotta say my worst enemy when i play killer is when the survivors just rat, stealth and do that all match even if the game is over. it's not every match. not every team resorts to this. but all it takes is 1 or 2 people dead and survivors turn into literal rats. that dont do gens. that crouch all over the place. it's so annoying. i hope this is the wake up call bhvr needs to really delve into the distortion and hostage holding that survivors can and will DO every time they need to.

  15. the entire problem here is that the game doesnt recognize when survivors themselves are holding the game hostage. yes the body blocking is def bad and should be banned for a week or whatever. BUT so should the survivors. and at the very least we need an overhaul of the afk survivor system. this is ridiculous. happens in tons of my killer games. im so happy this problem is getting talked about.

  16. A permanent ban is overkill. However…

Killer intentionally took the game hostage, after complaining about the game being held hostage. Recorded themselves deliberately taking the game hostage. Tweeted about deliberately taking the game hostage. Blamed BHVR's game design for the fact that they were able to take the game hostage. Everything the killer did was spiteful and malicious and then they publicized it. If your game has a reputation for toxic behaviour, you want to take strong action against people who flaunt their rule breaking.

Meanwhile, there's nothing to suggest the survivors were anything other than incredibly cowardly.

Intent matters; there's nothing morally grey here.

  17. My opinion that no one asked for: This is just a Developer L.

You are the Dev. You are choosing to look and at a problem with your game and offload the consequences of your problem onto the end user. You can code the game to boot AFK Survivors. You even have bots to fill their spot. You, the Developer can code the entity to take a Health State from Survivors not interacting with the Trial.

You the Developer can code Killers to lose collision if they body block a Survivor for too long.

You , the Developer are the referee and you’re choosing to just let the game devolve into chaos until you finally feel like doing your job and your solution is to punish the Players for doing things Your game allows them to do.

    It’s dumb. It’s sad. It’s lazy.

  18. There was never a point in time where the killer was capable of holding the game hostage. The game stopped because the non-blocked survivor refused to do any generators, and obviously it continued when they finally did the gens. The fact that survivors spent so long not doing gens throughout the match indicates that it might be SWF forcing killers to waste their time and DC. They could also be a random selection of new and clueless players.

Bodyblocking a survivor in a corner indefinitely is a shitty way to behave, but if they aren't the only survivor left in the game without EGC then it isn't holding the match hostage. It's just the lamest way to secure a single kill. Carol seems very vindictive and petty from the way they played, and they continuously doubled-down on being kind of shitty. It's hard to know what other things they've said and done in the game. Maybe they have been banned before. Maybe this was a first ban, but someone at BHVR decided to look at their history as a result of the noise on Twitter and decided that there were more instances of unacceptable behaviour.
