I’m horceror, and this is my video on the Quality of Life in Dead by Daylight. I do have some ideas about things that could be done, and how we could avoid some more negative aspects of the game. Why are people still getting slugged until bleedout? Why is there no way to get past afk crows? WHY is Gamora? All that and more will be answered… now! Feel free to yap below if I missed something or if you have a QoL idea that would improve the health of the game. I love talking about DbD and what could be done better! Maybe someone at BHVR will see videos like this and the game’ll get better!

Is there an option to read what equipped perks do during matches? I would like the randomized loadout but there are so many perks now that I don’t recognize them from just the icon.
Hmmm maybe basekit unbreakable could activate when 2 Survivors are downed and the 3rd enters a Chase. It only activates for the first downed Surv, so they would have to pick up the other Slug if the Killer doesn't come back in Time?
They need to just made a dbd 2. You can’t balance a game with this many perks lol. It’s no different then siege or for honor. These game are going on almost ten years on the same system and hardware. They need to start fresh from the beginning. But they won’t do that because they are gonna get every penny they can out of this

I just talked to my friend yesterday about the blood web thingy like the auto collect is so dumb it leaves high quality add ons and moris and went to useless stuff such as map offering im just upset I missed alot of high quality things on both sides for my mains and have to check the web multiple times on multiple levels

the anti-camp should work too when killer is at a huge radius, and looking at the hook without any line of sight block
Survivor can use this to hover around hook and force the camper to look at the hook to progress the anti camp
If they make unbreakable as basekit, then they need to give killers two basekit perks AND they'll owe us a handholding system due to the fact survivors have had them already.
as a baby killer i dont agree to making unbreakable and tenacity basekit at all
Anti face camp bar should be visible for all survivors.
You should get base kit unbreakable after half the bleed out bar.
Keep map offerings, but survivors and killers should only be able to affect 50% each of the map selection.
Survivors should be able to disconnect without penalty if one has disconnected.
Give us HUD indications for perks like Deliverance, Wicked, and Camaraderie to make them usable in solo q.

DBD will be better if survivors can fight.
My biggest problem with DBD is the last point you mentioned: just simply being "outperked". You can make better decisions than the other side and play well but still get rolled because you're versing someone who just brought better perks, or who brought perks that completely negate your perks. I feel like this is more a survivor issue than a killer issue as well. As the game goes on survivors use up their resources and a killer with some insane slowdown build just bruteforces the win because the survivors can't progress objectives quickly enough to keep up with the pressure that's generated by the killer's build alone. That's a really difficult issue to fix though.
A surv doing the accidentally lockering instead of vaulting makes me cackle like chucky
1000% Get rid of map offerings. If I randomly end up in a bad map, I can live with that. Allowing people to choose, to your point, makes it miserable just to start with. Just delete them.

I think that survivor should honestly get kindred partially basekit. Just Get rid of the killer aura effect and then it'll be fine. Maybe if its too advantageous for survivor make it so that survivors who are within a certain range of the hook are revealed with an aura.
Also, the devs need to change how certain killer powers work around hooked survivors, because not all killers are treated equal. I think that most killer powers should instead be extremely slowed/dumbed down when done near a hook (like singularity) AND the anti camp effect should linger for like 5 seconds after being unhooked.
I'll give some examples demonstrate my point.
Trapper: Traps near hooks won't Trap survivors but will instead just damage them (deep wound if injured)
Huntress: Hatchets can't down the survivors who is unhooking, instead applying deep wounds if injured.
Artist: Birds can't be applies if the unhooker didn't already have birds on them before unhooking.
Twins: if near a hook, the transition time of swaping between Charlotte and victor is increased to 8-10seconds
I actually really like your Showdown idea on 2 survivors left. They could do something like Endgame: Collapse where the game changes once that second survivor has completely passed. At the start survivors get to see the auras of each other and all gens for 8 seconds. All regression perks would stop regressing gens, although kicking would still be effective until 8 kicks. Remaining survivors would have a +100% repair speed bonus as long as there is more than the last 1 gen's worth of progress left. (Originally I thought they should get the bonus until only 1 gen remains but then it's too easy to game it by 99ing the 2nd last gen.) Remaining survivors should also have the ability to pick themselves off the ground, no recover speed bonus.
For slugging, I disagree with a basekit ability crawl and heal at the same time. Survivors have the agency to make a choice: to recover or to crawl and that's a good thing. If they can do both then there would be no choice and everyone would starting crawling immediately while recovering. If a slug has been down for more than 60 seconds they should get the opportunity to pick themselves up by chance off the ground. Something like a 4% chance that costs 20 seconds of your bleedout timer if unsuccessful and requires a 10 second charge up (always resets to 10s if stopped early) to complete during which you can't crawl and can be healed by a survivor so holding shift preventing external and trying to ground-kobe to leave the match early while a survivor is trying to heal them.
BHVR had a genius idea of making regression perks deactivate or less effective when survivors are eliminated. Hex: Ruin from version 6.1.0 to 7.5.0 would deactivate once only 3 survivors remained, in addition to being a cleansable totem. Rather than deleting that feature from Ruin they should instead add it to more regression perks. For example, imagine if Pop and Surge became half as effective once 1 eliminated and deactivated on 2 eliminated. Then they could buff them to be even stronger so killers choose to keep all 4 survivors alive longer. Imagine that combined with bloodpoint bonuses for getting 6-8 hooks before anyone dies to fill the elusive sacrifice category.

with shoulder being in the game now and the amount of anti tunnel and anti camp perks they could probably remove the anticamp system at this point. this is coming from a surv main
So for the range camping point, it’s kinda mute. If there is a survivor hooked and there’s a huntress on a hill just bait the hatchet or simply get behind the hooked survivor and let them eat the hit, they’ll either get endurance or get hit before getting unhooked. A lot of range killers that try to camp you can just bait out there power and unhook, and even if that’s the case why would you try to unhook without maybe setting up a distraction with another survivor.
Remove fucking autoaim. I swear to god I lose games cause i whiff 1000 its not a skill issue either 😡. Ill literally slide off of a rock because autoaim is stupid and SUCKS ME INTO THE ROCK INSTEAD OF THE PLAYER
Key is code specific not event, meaning that its coded to the activate function which is then coded to key. They could make 2 different actions keys.
The distance of anti camp is determined by the max speed of killers. Not powers. That's also a balance thing…
Turning off collision would be more problematic then its worth.
Not being able to find them is a problem with great stealth, but crows should accumulate based off of generators not being touch instead of what it is now.
Adding base kit perks isn't QoL it's balance talk.
Map offering should be changed to map preferences (everyone gets to select what map they want or random) and instead convert all offerings to a new item that gives your choice more preference with it being 50/50 survivor vs killer meaning killer has a higher chance if multiple offerings are the same preference. However i think this is beyond BHVR's abilities to do.
Instead of basekit unbreakable they should just make it so you can just end self on floor button n make bond basekit instead i play Soloq ALOT and bond is actually so helpful, best soloq perk
Hard agree on the slugging changes. Crawl and recover baseline I think would be a huge boost to avoiding the 4k slug at 5 minutes. Also just rework Knock Out already since it's just a perk meant to be shitty to soloq. Insane that it's been unchanged for so long when they'll straight up gut killers over being shitty to soloq.
40 minutes of wraith standing on hatch is insane business, its lame that he did that of course but yui could if sat on a gen and if he did finally get off he would have to down her or grab her to stop her from going through a gate or go back to camping the hatch which at the worst would lead to him bleeding her out for 4 minutes, its shitty sure but you essentially keep yourself in the game if you sat there for 40 minutes waiting for him to get off
on the topic of locker vacuums and keybinds, as a console player i wanna say i know its small but would it really be that difficult to make the button for removing pinhead chains be the sprint button instead of the vault button, since youll likely be holding down that button anyways? i know there are several similar examples but this one always comes to mind for me
Nerf gen speeds. I’m a fairly decent chaser and by the time I get one down, 2 gens are already popped. It’s ridiculous. So many nerfs to killers recently just to make survivors stop crying.

Please, PLEASE ADD AUTO SPEND, I am so tired of the blood web system that I started using a damn auto clicker and stopped caring about whatever the hell the blood web gives me UNTIL I finally spend all my blood points.
I don't know if it is just ME or EVERYONE experience with blood web is so insufferable but I just know that I need changes to that system.
you should honestly be able to have a menu in the bloodweb that you can maybe select and unselect items you want to specifically prioritize it getting, i dont see any reason why it cant or shouldnt be an option, just would be a good QOL change
