Rating the Moral Alignment of All 31 Survivors in Dead by Daylight!

Hey everyone, today we’re doing an alignment chart for our survivors. The alignment chart is a chart for ‘moral classification’. Most of the survivors are meant to be good, so a lot of them are going to be leaning more so into the good alignments. I’m also basing this off of the descriptions for the alignments listed on the Dungeons & Dragons alignment page on Wikipedia. Let’s get started.

  1. Can you rank survivor mains based off stereotypes, like Meg would be a sandbagging teammates, while the claud stereotype would be blendette self care in the corner of the map?

  2. If he ever does a Killer alignment video (and why wouldn’t he), I believe they would all have an Evil aspect besides the Law/Neutral/Chaos axis. This is simply because they kill people, which is in itself an evil act, reasons to become a killer notwithstanding.

As for a few of the Killer alignments, my own suggestions:

    Myers- NE

    Freddy- CE

    Pinhead- LE

    Leatherface- CE

    Ghostface- NE

    Demogorgon- NE

    Nemesis- LE

Sadako – LE (or maybe CE)

  3. I think Laurie (if I said her name right) should be true neutral. She does only wants to kill, yes, to kill Myers. The law and everything else doesn’t really matter to her.. I bet she’d put others in danger just to end him.

  4. Yun Jin to me is an archetypical "Neutral evil" character IMO. Also I would put Ace in chaotic neutral probably. Though I do understand you wanted at least one survivor for every alignment.

  5. I do like how real people and even fictional characters don't tend to fit the mold perfectly in an alignment system like D&D's. It's a spectrum rather than a clearly labelled caste system. Most people today are somewhere in the spectrum of Good and at least understand the importance of Law (not everyone though, and that's not necessarily bad).

There are a myriad of different methods in doing the right thing and it ultimately depends on what the situation is, and who is doing something about it. Life experience, biases, trauma, and lessons taught in our youth all make an impact on our own alignment as we mature (and sometimes even after we've matured).

  6. Jonah is way worse than you give him credit for. He wanted to bomb rebels – people who wanted to stop a dictator – but bombed civilians. Instead of leaving his work he steals money FROM THE REBELS people are suffering to end the injustice / torture their home country is in to apologize and stayed working on the CIA. The artist was tortured by the dictator men because she was against the injustice that was happening but she’s somehow the killer and Jonah is the survivor 🙃.

  7. I'd also add the legendary characters
Chris and Cybil would be chaotic good like Jill.
    Lisa would be neutral good.
    James would be neutral evil
If we consider OG Claire from the 1998 game she'd be true good, but since her DBD iteration is from the 2019 remake I'd place her as chaotic good.
Jonathan is also chaotic good like Steve and Nancy.

  8. we have a war criminal who aided in promping up a dictatorship regime. do you think we could get a pedo survivor someday or play around with that the same way freddys original lore used to imply?

  9. Genuinely curious where you would place Ada Wong since she’s rumored to be in a new RE DBD chapter 👀. I personally think she’ll do things if the price is right and if it’s convenient for her.

  10. Only one that I disagree with is Yun-Jin. She's a music producer, and while she isn't crazy about her job she does enjoy the lifestyle it allows her to live. She's more neutral evil than chaotic. She uses Ji-Woon to fuel her own career, and when he puts that at risk, (in both base and tome lore) she tries to look for other rational explanations because if Ji-Woon goes down, so does she. She's driven completely by her own selfish needs to be successful, and anyone who puts that at risk is someone she immediately deems a threat.
