  1. i really regret talking about the popularity of Ringu since it is by far the least relevant point in this discussion. as I said in the video, it could be the most popular IP in existence and I still think the chapter is not going to do great due to the convergence of all the other factors. im sorry if i offended anyone by saying she's not as popular as like, Myers or Freddy. I still believe that, but I think people are twisting that into "Scott thinks ringu sucks" or something. my opinion on its popularity could not matter less and the popularity of the IP will have minimal effect on what I believe to be a perfect storm of people being fed up with the game, MMR, Circle of Healing, extremely boring midchapter patch, way too early an announcement, amazing games coming out in February, etc.

  2. Queue times have already gotten really bad again. I'm really starting to believe these boons and dead hard is really hurting the game. Hitting a survivor and them instant healing afterwards or hitting a survivor hearing them scream and getting all the other effects yet they didn't go down is severely hurting my enjoyment of playing killer and I would expect the same feeling from others. It used to be all melee hits had massive impact and forced survivors to waste resources or to waste huge amounts of time. Boons is like 14 seconds that equals multiple health states in a matter of seconds. We've gotten to a position in DBD that stuff is becoming less impactful and less having to carefully consider the resources given to you.

  3. As well known as Freddy or Meyers? No. But very well known by horror fans and those of us old enough to have pissed ourselves in the theater in 2002? Yes. I get what he’s saying tho. Regardless of who or what the next content is, he’s saying the game is in a stale spot rn.

  4. Elden Ring is gonna take over March. There are people going back to the souls games en masse. Make a new character on DS3 right now and try to get through the starting areas. You will be invaded by twinks every step of the way. If you invade, you will be ganked. They are all terrible, of course, but playing the game is still a massive pain online. I don't know about DS1, but DS2 isn't as bad because not many people play it. There's still invaders but Multiplayer is much more strict with soul memory and whatnot. It's awesome to see so many people going back to play them, including myself because I never did, but at the same time Elden Ring's Multiplayer is designed the way it is because of DS3. If you've played the CNT, you know what I mean.

  6. I'll be honest, I think the only major thing that can make BHVR to give a shit is a mass strike of content creators.

You guys are advertisers. Entertainers too, of course, but you guys are definitely a huge influence on player numbers. If all the big boys say "fix the game" and stop, they MIGHT make some major changes.

  7. I think the main problem is that DBD has finally hit the point where it’s boring, and no matter how many new perks, or how many new killers they introduce it’s going to keep getting more and more boring. Behavior has to massively shake things up core gameplay wise or else it’s going to be a dead game in 3-4 years.

  8. I actually see artist pretty often when I play with my gf probably because she is a lot lower mmr cause she just started playing dbd like about a month ago. Maybe it's that artist isnt popular at high ranks?

  10. Honestly dude I don’t blame you from taking a break from the game, dbd can get repetitive and quite frankly I find it quite boring, with all of these other games it would be easier to have fun with and maybe find something new, anyways best of luck dude

  11. They added Boons recently which was awesome (in my opinion) but it'd be nice to see more permanent gameplay features like that , something as significant as pallets and totems. This will be a new rabbit hole for killer powers too.

  12. Personally I’m more excited for this killer then for any other killer in the game. I think she has the potential to be the first killer that’s actually scary. Also since I’m guessing that there’s a new map and a new survivor, then there’s definitely also gonna be a interesting new boon perk to try out

  13. My thoughts are that this isn’t an unexpected outcome from Behaviour. They’re probably going to give her borderline broken perks on release. Everyone will buy her to get these perks. Then they’ll nerf her perks a few weeks later, after the initial rush to get her, if only to make people stop griping about them being op.
