  1. I'm glad we are on to the next thing to complain about….. the issue is clearly map development if you believe maps are mostly "survivor" sided which I don't believe…. but hey the community always gotta have something to bitch about.

  2. Before watching the video, nah they shouldn’t exist. What multiplayer game lets players choose whatever map they want? It’s unfair as fuck to let one person/party tailor the match how they want. I don’t bring them myself, and I’ll usually DC if it seems that the opposite side is bringing a map favorable to them.

  3. the only reason i feel they should exist is because it would probably take me 5x as long to finish Sore Ankles challenges if i couldn't burn Dead Dawg's offering, lol

  4. I do like having them for uses like wanting lery's for scratched mirror myers. Maybe map offerings should be a killer only offering? If they tend to benefit survivors more often than not have them for killers only so they can be used for niche builds

  5. Now I do agree that map offerings can be problematic but there are a couple of issues with removing them or changing they way they work.

    1) If you wanna mess arround a bit and go for a head on gameplay you kinda need map offerings or esle those already rather weak perks might not do anything for you.
Same goes for killers. Like scratch mirror myers can be incredible fun but as killer you would only do it on midwitch, larrys or rpd.
Same goes for tr based builds you would want to sent yourself to one of the smaller maps so your build actually does something.

Playing stealthy iri head huntress works best if you play on midwitch or larrys.

All those unique things you can do, especially on the killer side, but also some meme builds just work way better on certain maps and I am not sure if we should take away that option. It kinda would make many of the fun meme stuff basically impossible. Like I am not gonna play 10 games so I get a decent head on map for once.
And I am not having 10 miserabel games as scratch mirror myers only to have one fun game because I did get sent to a good map for me.

Soo yeah therefore I am not soo sure about all of that …

  6. Everytime I see a map offering, I tunnel, face camp and slug. Solo survivors don't bring map offerings because they don't give a shit which map they play. So it's always a SWF and not only are they playing with an advantage with voice comm, but they need a survivor sided map on top of it. Then they cry about the killer not being ''fun''. Yeah fuck off.

  7. My suggestion to map offering is being like a gatcha game . If you burn for example a rpd offering ( does not increases the chance to be send to that map) and you coincidentally got rpd you will get maybe like 30000 blood point

  8. Map banning would be really good to have, you're onto gold there. And maybe if they would make offerings to work as map ban mechanic, the statistics of usage of offerings (which of course they have on us) would allow them to see patterns in people's choosing of what maps not to play in, so then they clue in on what maps might need a tweak or two.
Also the fact that 4 people can overcome the ward from killer is total nonsence. It's blatantly "yes, 4-man squad with outside voicecoms, whos builds are stacked, and who most likely seasonally play togther and have up to 20k hours collectively and thus have massive headstart over you DO HAVE THE RIGHT to get even more advantages against you, and you do not get to object", which is just… well, am I a player to participate in a game, or am I a toy to be played with? From the attitude it feels like the latter. Why bother engaging in that game as killer, then?

  9. no plz i NEED to go to the maps i like cuz thats the only way i can consistantly have fun as survivor. if i dont bring a midwich or dead dawg ill never get to go there cuz dbd is obsessed with sending me to corn map.

  10. I'd love them gone, both as killer main, but especially when I play with friends and the one random we have burns for instance RPD. They get downed first time and INSTANTLY dc. And at the end of the match you see, if they had just played it out, we prob would have had everyone or a 3 man out. This happens to me so much, I would rather have the offerings gone. They are obsolete, boring and make games bad before they even start sometimes because of the mental game.

  11. I don't want to be that guy but random map pick already F's me so offerings don't matter. The last time I played huntress I got thes maps randomly in this order. Badham, Garden of Joy, Lery's . Survs don't need to F me. The game does that well enough on its own. LOL

  12. Your first point doesn’t really make sense to me. “There are more survivor sided maps than killer sided maps” …so then you were probably going to get a survivor sided one anyways…wouldn’t you? So who cares. I think map offerings would be less of an issue if there were more maps per a realm. The issue really is knowing for certain you will get say, a good map for balanced landing if you use certain offerings.

I don’t actually disagree with your alternative idea to making map offerings an “anywhere but here” effect. I think it would be funny to change sacrificial wards to be “if the opposing side uses a map offering, it will guarantee you go there instead.” 😂

  13. I disagree, i think map offerings are great for the game (except for the rpd badge) if the map is killer/survivor sided, then thats just the development teams problem and would need re-adjustment. Then again i am part of the low mmr gang so what would i know 😅

  14. Absolutely correct – but it's also a self defeating point.

In a perfect game, these map offerings wouldn't really exist because they only truly serve to give one side a pure advantage over others.
But also, in a perfect game, maps would not be so badly balanced as to outright favor one side over the other.

An easy solution would be to make Map offerings less like a guarantee and more like a CoD map-vote in the pre-game lobby: point based.
Give killer players an increase the point base for their offerings.

This would create the inverse issue overall, where killerc could bring one map offering and it would take the coordinated votes to counter a singular Killer offering.

Overall – it's not an offering problem as much as it is a map problem.

Making this problem go away would make the game better in some ways, yes.
Making the game better overall would make this a non-problem.

  15. I like your idea a lot as I don’t burn map offerings unless I’m going for a map specific achievement (yes I’m the guy who’s been constantly throwing u guys to rpd😅) or if I intentionally like trolling my teammates or randoms by burning some god awful survivor maps 😂

  16. It really shouldn't matter if they exist or not if the maps were balanced. If every map was balanced I wouldn't care if I get sent to a specific one

  17. I remember in Call of Duty all players could vote for a map, and whatever map got the most votes was going to be the chosen map. What if we had the same voting system where there are 3-5 random maps all 5 players can choose from before the match starts. Each survivor has a 12,5% vote power and the killer has a 50% vote power. If all 4 survivors vote for map A, and the killer chose map B, then it would just be a 50/50. What do you guys think about this?

  18. I agree. If they had kept up with keeping the maps inside realms they would have been fine or even good. But we have far too many offerings that send you to just one map. All of the maps made or reworked in the last 2 years are lone map realms and I hate all of them, every single last one. If they consolidated Eyrie of Crows, Garden of Joy, Shattered Square, Ormond and Dead Dawg Saloon under one realm, that would be a great change. Then at least there's hope of getting a map you like when the offering is burned instead of a guaranteed stinker. They could perhaps group all the licensed maps under one offering as well. Lery's still stands out though.

  19. Bad maps for killer is such a strange argument to me. of course maps should be survivor sided, killers get the big weapon, faster speed, and ability to end your game. The map is the only defence to that.
