Today, I decided to discuss the idea of Win Streaks in DBD and if I believe if they should be considered when nerfing a killer!

  1. I think you covered pretty much every aspect I had thought to comment about as I watched through the video. Though I did want to say something that is pretty unspoken of whenever win-streaks are talked about and that's how as win-streaks grow ridiculously large, the need for imposed limitations becomes more apparent. There was a 44 match long Wraith win-streak done by a V1rtual where he couldn't lose more than 3-gens for it to count as a win and that's genuinely more impressive than the 1k+ streaks for Nurse, Blight, and Hillbilly because the former can be put at risk by even pub players while what's the risk for a winstreak performed on a top 3 killer with the only risk being that you *might* go against players near your own skill level?

When a win-streak goes exponentially larger and larger, the more interesting part ends up only being the match where they finally lose it all because its more entertaining seeing how the survivors finally cracked a 3+ escape. Though that's just my perception as a viewer.

  2. My longest streak was 89 on Legion.
Used Thana, Spies from Shadows, Starstruck and Hangmans (before it got changed to Scourge, tho i did cpntinue the streak with the new version)

On match 90 got absolutely destroyed on the new Vecna map
Survivors knew how to spread and apply appropriate pressure.
I didnt know how to maneuvar the map and it was before I learned that you dont need to go down in the maze dungeon
Such a shame, it was fun giving Legion street cred

  3. I have to hard disagree with this video on most points. Winstreaks aren't healthy for the game, and highlight major balance issues with the game. You can't go on solo survivor and crank out 1k wins in a row. 4 man SWF are capable of winstreaks, but you don't see hardly any 4 man SWF winstreak content, and if you do, it isn't 500 wins in a row.

I'd like to see them fix solo survivor or at least make it better. Its so frustrating to play solo survivor, get 4k'd most of the time, then i hop on killer and can easily win a bunch. I'm a newer player to DBD and completely turned off by the current survivor experience. Its way too easy for survivors to lose.

  4. I am a small streamer and I currently hold 11 wins as the twins. I started playing them two weeks ago. My first time, I reach 7 and the following week, I added 4 more. There was a time I had a 25 win streak on Blight and 5 losses. Before Twins, I was a huntress main. I definitely had more wins on her than Blight and The Twins combined. With all that being said, win streaks should not lead to killers being nerf. Based on the killers that got nerfed, there was something problematic about them. Skull merchant could easily hold a three gens and hold players in a match for a long time. The same applies to knight. Basement Bubba was an issue to some while others loved it . Some Blight add-ons were too OP which required them to be nerfed. A win streak is a personal challenge. It varies from player to player based on how they play. Some slug, others don’t. Some do hit and runs, while others don’t. We also have to keep in mind that there are players who put hours into mastering their favorite killer(s). Should a killer be nerfed simply because a player is good at playing him or her? Unless there are things in a specific killer that requires certain actions to be taken, I don’t really think win streaks should lead to that. Huntress may seem deadly in the right hands, but a new player will struggle with her. Heck that rule applies to all killers.
