  1. she will remain as 3 gen killer since drones are useless outside of camping gens, why would you disable a drone if it's not camping a gen? drones are simply too easy to ignore outside camping a gen.

  2. All they need to do is make it so endurance effect doesn't work when exposed to make it a threat on injured survivors. Then it buffs weaker killers that rely on exposed, buffs SM and gives Dead Hard a direct counter.

  3. It will make her weaker in gen pressure, but offers not that much in return, especially since she can't cut corners and she can't force pallet pre drops, so her claw traps might be not that usefull. She will be considerably weaker.

  4. Once the battery runs out you are no longer tracking her therefore you don't get the speed boost anymore you toaster. Literally the whole 2nd half of this video is you saying it's not a good change because you aren't understanding. Speed boost only comes from the blips on the radar whether it be from the drones or the claw trap. Once that tracking is gone it's gone. Therefore you need to get your drone back and the trap needs to break

  5. Maybe just meke her be able choose when to destroy a claw trap to regal a drone after 30 secunde, instead of them getting destroyed automatically, like twins, where you can choose when to regal victor. This would enable her to choose wether she wants the speed from traps or whether she wants to use her drones. Opinions?

  6. Bro this patchnote LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

They Deny their own Saying man xD

This is why this game never becomes a good one Cuz DEVS ARE ON 7UCKING CRACK

They do drugs then NERF a Killer

  7. Those moments when the SM gets close to downing a survivor but then they just sprint into safety will remain the same, but, now they can do that while a trap is on them, denying the SM the ability to deploy a drone on the spot they got their trap from.

So, I'm guessing, SM players will just try immediately get one survivors out, so they can do what they've done before with 3 gens and not get denied its usage because a trap is on someone. Brilliant update! Fixed so much!

  8. Cons
    – When a drone is disabled she doesn't get it back for 45 seconds.
-Claw traps no longer need to be removed and no longer recharge.
-Her best and most most used add on is being increased in rarity and her brown add on is being removed under the pretense of a nerfed version being made base

    Pros
-She gets a walk speed buff
-She gets a heavily nerfed version of her brown add on made base.

She didn't even make it to the mid chapter before being nerfed into the ground. RIP.

  9. this will kill her, basically just take the trackers and hold them hostage like victor, her drones still take time to activate so who cares if she gets a boost in speed. she went from god tier gen defence to a plague you dont need to cleanse for…but almost like you can take sickness hostage… from S to F tier real quick

  10. Ur still gonna want to put drones on gens being worked on cuz outside of gens idk see why they would get rid of the drone any where else

Also this doesn’t solve the issue that if they’re injured being on the active drone AOE does nothing that’s why I would at least give 2% hindered at all times in in active zone I don’t think that be even crazy

  11. This will make her abit more threatening in chase but the problem is fundamentally that her power is just boring. Its like Behavior doesn't realize that her drones are ONLY good at defending gens and is the only real way to get claw traps effectively/consistently on survivor shoulders. Changing numbers won't fix this killer. A total rework on her power is the only way to change fundamentally what is wrong from her from the ground up. The foundation of this killer is the problem. Her drones need to do something else beside be an annoying gen defense.

  12. The reason they made it so the traps auto break is because as long as a survivor has the trap on that drone they hacked will not return to the skull merchant until the trap is off the survivor. So the moment your drones hacked you wont have that one for 45seconds

Now im fine with these changes to a point. The haste buff is amazing i love it because its gonna make my skull merchant chase and stealth builds far better i didnt like 3 gen defense it was boring. However they nerfed her purple add on into the dirt they didnt need to gut it that hard.

I know it would make her fast at the start but it only procs at the START of a match and its gone for ever which is now 63 seconds since its nerfed and it was only good for 1 or 2 downs max assuming the survivors mess up hard cause chases can last far longer than 63 seconds haste buff or not. The old one made it last for 102 seconds which i think is fair if not then nerf it slightly dont completely gut it its a 1 time use add on that gets no value if you dont get a down. Even with the speed buff i dont see you often getting more than 1 down even if it wasnt nerfed. With it now nerfed i think you will be lucky to get a down even with the 7% speed buff cause you will be spending time setting up drone and finding someone then have to chase them and any survivor in this situation is 100% gonna pre throw and hold W to a strong loop make sure you do not get your down so you wasted one of your add ons getting basically no value.

I know you can track them with your radar to find them faster than average killers but the radar isnt 100% accurate they could be upstairs or downstairs or behind something making you waste time its still not as effective as aura reading which is why one of her aura reading add ons is still one of her strongest. Regardless i do not think this purple add on is gonna be as powerful i loved that add on but i honestly almost never saw any skull merchants use it most skull merchants use the aura reading add on or the gen defending add ons. So why on earth would any skull merchant use this purple add on now since it only last for 63 seconds and it MIGHT help you get a 1 down if your lucky. Cause if you dont get a down its gone for the rest of the match and you get 0 value while all other add ons like aura reading last the entire match?

  13. DBD Dev mentality always seems to lean towards redundancy disguised as "equality". SM's "speed buff" is made redundant because traps will break negating that speed buff. It reminds me of Wraith who has to slow down to stealth, to speed up, then slow down to unstealth, then speed up to hit. Death Slinger has range attck where he can hit survivor then he pulls them close to hit them. With this kind of thinking the devs can always say they "balance" the game for both sides while not changing much

  14. Devs do not care about Killer. They know they have killed the game for one half of the community with their incompetence, and they have also nurtured the other half to be so entitled and toxic that the devs can now never balance the game properly without it blowing up in their face. Stop giving money to the devs and let the game die already.

  15. I think a better alternative is survivors are slowed 5% when they have an active trap. It will make getting to safe loops risky, especially if a pallet breaks instantly with the trap on.

If you think it's the same thing as the killer going 5% faster, the survivors need enough run speed to make it to the safe loops. If the killer is faster, the survivors can still make safe loops with their current speed. However, if a survivor is slower, it makes running to that safe loop potentially unsafe.

At least, that's how I perceive it. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  16. "I don't get it" no you dont.
Claw traps AND active drones contribute to her speed boost. You don't want the survivor you're actively chasing to have a claw trap, because that's one less active drone and exposing a survivor you can see is more valuable than tracking a survivor you can already see.

For the iri. 18s of +7% movement speed with lethal pursuer is fine.

  17. She got early game buffs but they reduced her obnoxious 3 gen.

Being a 120% speed killer on average is actually pretty good, a 110% killer has difficulty at loops for good reason.
Being able to force less looping and catch survivors in the open more reliably is quite good.

Though overall she is still bad, I look forward to these changes, still hope they will push more changes.

  18. Thats a pretty weird thing for them to say "holding onto claw traps will deny her from using her power". I mean isn't the claw traps apart of her using her power? They are basically saying claw traps aren't apart of her power, very strange.

  19. It's going to make her overall weaker with almost no compensation. The developers never dive into the WHY when a killer strat is pervasive in the community and "unfun", they just seek to gut it and keep the survivors happy.

  20. Small idea on what they were going for

Maybe they made her changes with the idea of putting the drones on gens as normal, and going on the offensive after they’re all broken with a big speed buff and such. Along with infinite tracking and improved speed, she could also catch survivors off guard when they’re out in the open and down them quickly before they get to a loop in the first place.

  21. For those actually curious on the math currently if the claw traps aren't reduced in there timer they last 45 seconds on a survivor add the new iri addon that increases that 45 seconds by 40% which i think comes out to a whopping 18 more seconds of batter life (math might be a bit off since doing percentage math is not my forte but ya) so rather than 150% boost its now 40% and she gains at max a 7% haste buff does not sound good at all because if you get the max 7% you are technically running as fast as if survivors put on blood pact/breakout since they give the same haste affect which is nothing at all it does absolutely nothing besides potentially catch survivors a little off guard at how fast you are moving but is still an absolute dumpster fire of an iri addon

  22. If the claw traps run out of power and they hold on to it then you gain move speed but no tracking which is a detriment I feel. I think the claw traps breaking automatically is a plus so you can get the tracking as well which is her main identity

  23. In a way, it makes her even more dangerous in a 3-gen.

Survivors will want to hack every drones to be able to pressure multiple gens, however this will make her much faster and especially for SoloQ who can't coordinate, this will make her able to down Survivors quicker than she should and patrol between the gens even faster.

If anything, this merely changes how the last gen gets done, but doesn't really encourage anything else than still defending a 3-gen.

  24. I think the fact that her 3 gen gameplay increases the match time, will reduce her 3 Gemini ability. The thing tru3 was worried about this whole time about the skull merchant is happening really slowly but it’s happening they’re turns nerf her.

  25. Meh. Just a haste effect? On top of that only 3%? Sheesh. Not just that. They nerfed her gen defense too? Lol. Bvhr you are a joke.

What type of "horror" game has dbd become? Like why do you want to pander to survivors so much? Money? Is that it? Sheesh.

I will return back to dbd when it actually resembles a horror game. Where the killers are actually a threat because they are deadly. I had way more fun in dbd back then. I died close to 80% of the games as a survivor but it was more fun because it felt like a horror game.

Now, I feel confident going against killers because I know they are handicapped in so many ways. Dbd is only a horror game to people that have no idea about the game mechanics now. Back then the killers definitely had a clearer advantage. Especially before all the SWF crap.

  26. You don't want people holding traps because the change will tie her number of drones available for use to a fixed number shared between them AND the traps.

I.E. you start with four (4) traps if you use all four and the survivors grab all four you can no longer use your drones at all and just have an M1 killer that moves slightly faster.

That's why the traps need to auto destroy themselves mate.

  27. So with the change that drones don't come back until the claw traps break, if they didn't make claw traps break on their own, if all the drones got disabled, the batteries would die, and the traps wouldn't be doing anything. That's a little mitigated with the pallet break, but could still be pretty debilitating. That being said, I think they could have made the claw traps have infinite battery, so they have to be removed, or make the drone come back the first time the batteries die. Then it would be less of a nerf to the killer and still have some survivor agency in the matter.

  28. Deactivated claw traps do not show survivors on her radar anymore. She only gains a haste effect for every survivor that is shown on her radar, either because they have a claw trap on them, or because they are revealed by an active drone. Which is also the incentive to remove drones, or survivors will get exposed while also giving her a haste effect while in the active drones range.
Having Claw Traps not be removed immediately would mean that survivors could simply hold on to the Claw Traps, denying her the ability to gain a haste effect, and to use her drones as zoning tools.

  29. Because the Devs don't understand the killer, or the game outside of the basic survivor, they're nerfing this killer way too much.
A way of shortening the games would have been making the survivors punished for getting the drones more.
