  1. the real thing worth talking about with this game is how this Smerchant player managed to become the dbd streamer equivalent of a pro wrestling heel. They spent all this time saying deliberately inflammatory shit like GETTING GOOD IN CHASE TAKES ZERO IQ, EVERYBODY KNOWS THE REAL GENIUS CHESSMASTER DBD PLAYERS HOLD THREE GENS and got so good at getting people to hate them that they baited the best comp team in the world into spending A Real Life Hour doing the most boring thing in the world just for the satisfaction of bringing them down. It's like watching the dbd version of MJF. The fact that so many fucking marks in this community have responded to this with YEAH GET OWNED THAT'LL SHOW YOU FOR ABUSING SMERCHANT 3 GENS is only further proof of how well it worked. Phenomenal heel work, 10/10, no notes.

  2. When I go against a 3 gen camping skull merchant I wait to see if my team can handle it and if they can’t I just dc and go next because it’s so boring.

  3. is she a problem because she is like the only killer in this scenario that draws a game and doesn't just lose. also using pros/comp for this argument is pointless casue it kinda implys the opposite with the killer being at 1 gen in 5 min with 0 hooks

  4. I find that skull merchant can be quite good in chase if you bring the right perks and add-ons, yet this “pro” skull merchant player says that playing her to be a stealthy speed demon/ getting downs reliably is “cringe.” Out of all my time playing this game I don’t think I’ve seen a player with as much degeneracy as this guy. Those t-bags at the end of his match are FULLY deserved, coming from a killer main.

  5. Skull Merchant Rework Idea

    Claw trap

    – [ ] Survivors with a claw trap become oblivious
    – [ ] Survivors with a claw trap can hack the drones
    – [ ] The claw traps battery life is increased by 15 seconds

    Skull Merchants power/drone

    – [ ] Drones no longer exposes survivors

    – [ ] When one survivor without a claw trap stays in the drone area for 35 seconds everyone without a claw trap in the drones area gains a claw trap, the drone then returns to the Skull Merchant.

    – [ ] If a healthy survivor has a claw trap on and stays in the drones area for 45 seconds every survivor (in the drones area) becomes injured with deep wound if a survivor is injured they gain deep wound, the claw trap is removed from the survivor and the drone is return to the Skull Merchant.

    – [ ] If one survivor has no claw trap and there’s another survivor with a claw trap in the drones area at the same time if any of their times (35 or 45 seconds) go off every survivor with a claw trap will be injured with deep wound or just get deep wound if injured and the survivors without a claw trap gains a claw trap and then the drone is return to the Skull Merchant.

    – [ ] If a claw trap survivor hacks a drone they become injured with deep wound if healthy and if injured just deep wound. The same thing still happens when a non claw trap survivor hacks the drone.

    Any thoughts???

  6. The SM player was an a-hole and arrogant and was acting like playing her 3 gen strat is chess and big brain. He also tries to make it go until the servers shut down naturally to win. So glad they beat him but it goes to show that if it takes team eternal this level of play to beat it, it’s a problem. Otz’s video shows it I was rooting for the survivors so hard.

  7. Every time someone complains about skull merchant, I play another game of skull merchant. I am currently at 7.2 billion games of skull merchant. They will all last until the heat death of the universe.

  9. I have more then 1000 hs in dbd and i know that i would not be able to beat this play style from a skull merchant having only 100 hs in the game, especially not in solo q. For sure need changes

  10. We knew Skull Merchant was problematic already, but we probably didn't all know she was THIS problematic. I'd have expected Eternal to handle Skull Merchant no problem, 30 mins at the very worst.

  11. you know the end game collapse timer?

What if it was throughout the entire trial so you have like 20 minutes to escape and the timer speeds up fast once gates are opened.

    no more 1 hour games.

  12. I think it's the other way around. Skull Merchant has a raised floor on how coordinated your team has to be to more reliably beat her. But as long as you're above that floor, she's still just an M1 killer with effectively no ability.

She falls to coordinated genwork/drone removal. She prevails when survivors trickle in one at a time. It's that simple.

You don't really get to say "look at this pro level game" and say it proves some kinda point, because if you could, then all sorts of opposing and contradicting points would be simultaneously proven true somehow.
