  1. Something about the lighting on the prototype map just doesn't look real to me. DBD has been making graphical improvements in recent years, but the lighting for this new Hawkins map with the glare and reflection on the floor don't look right to me, especially for a prototype. Like the map's not even filled in, but they're focused on the lighting?

  2. I don't know if this is related to the Stranger Things return, but today I saw a structure on Eerie of Crows that looked kinda like a portal to the upside down. I have never seen it until today (I play pretty regularly), and it looked out of place on the map so I doubt it was an update, so maybe it was released just for Stranger Things Day?

  3. Im just gonna say the moment dbdleaks got ST wrong, their sources have been going dry. And they've been slowly releasing leaks much later than usual so they wouldn't be baited again.

  4. REMEMBER the future licensed chapter. And also Stranger Things probably didn't talk about DBD because The Knight isn't even out yet. Why tease a future dlc when the current new killer isn't even out yet. Idk just a thought

  5. i saw a comment saying: if the announcement isn’t about dbd and stranger things then i don’t think stranger things will ever return to dbd.

and i 10000000% agree with it.

i’m sorry to be so pessimistic, but i don’t think stranger things is ever going to return.

all of the evidence we have is nice to speculate with, but none of it is core and absolutely correct to the return.

  6. Well, that's all a damn shame. Makes me sad. Thanks for the vid tho Shmucks. I'm thinking the thought process is likely correct here – Though I could 100% see Behaviour having the deal with Netflix to release a Stranger Things part 2 chapter close to the release of season 5, I would find it difficult to believe that they would be working on it this early as opposed to other content that releases much sooner, and if they have been working on that content, why would we not have leaks from it as well?

The ONLY way I can sort of see this working is if they plan to return the old Stranger Things content sooner than the Stranger Things 2 chapter release, including Steve, Nancy, Demo and a reworked Hawkins Lab and THAT is why we're seeing the map so early; paving the way for the ST2 chapter to release sometime in 2024 around season 5's release, with Vecna, one or two survivors (we can only speculate, I would root for Eddie but I wonder if he'd just come in as a skin) and MAYBE a new map that takes place around the Creel house or some other season setpiece we are yet to see.

Regardless, I think it's easy to believe in these leaks because everyone wants Stranger Things to return to DBD in any way it can. The deal cutting off was beneficial for nearly nobody it seems. I don't see how Netflix benefits from cutting ties with Behaviour – I don't think any dbd players are gearing up to play Stranger Things Puzzle Quest now that they can't access the ST content that used to be in dbd. And then all the players suffer. Shameeee!

  7. I'm also a Game Dev on for really large populargame and I wanted to mention the fact that It is normal practice for a large feature such as a licensed character to be worked on years b4 it is expected to launch. Especially if it waa something like them getting a license back. They would already have time schedules in place for future DLC that they can't change just because they got the Stranger Things license back. Adding Demo back wouldn't be as hard but adding the new character most likely wouldn't happen for at least a year if they just got it back recently.

  8. I mean the person who leaked the dredge also leaked the knight and resident evil chapter so if they said anything about a new stranger things chapter it would probably be true but I can’t confirm if they did

  9. My guess is the leaker just assumed season 5 would be coming out in a year – because typically when we think of shows, seasons tend to come out every year.
So with that said, it's possible that the map will be released sometime close to Stranger Things day next year.

  10. I'm gonna be really disappointed if Stranger Things doesn't make it. I'm also gonna be really disappointed if the stranger things DLC, if it were coming, will come before season 5. But am I happy that Stranger Things might be coming back? Yes, yes I am.

  11. I just want Steve cosmetics I had the game and bought the stranger things DLC and then kinda got out of the game but then a few months after stranger things left I got back into it.

  12. I honestly don’t think this is real

The new map doesn’t match the basement like you said

I find it hard to believe that Behavior would start work on a stranger things return when we’re a year and a half away from season 5(assuming it does come out in summer 2024, for all we know it could take longer)

We have no way of knowing that DBD leaks source is 100% reliable

And I still have no idea why either Stranger things or Behavior would do a 180 and try to get the license back in the game(because when the contract expired and since the chapter was removed from the game, that meant either Behavior, Stranger things, or both companies didn’t want the chapter in the game anymore, so I don’t know why they would change their minds)
