This was meant to be the second video in the “series” that was spirit boot camp, but I’m starting to get unsure if this needs to continue. I still don’t think I’m a godly spirit, but I also feel like there isn’t anything left that I don’t understand and instead just need practice lmao

I'm going through the similar process. Sometimes i feel like i am winning not because of me being good but because of my opponent screwing up. I am learning Oni right now and this one time i had a horrendous early and midgame, could only have like 1 down per Demon Fury use. But right before them opening the gates i got 1 Demon Fury down and was able to chain that with Infectious Fright and got 4k in the end. Like, those guys did not do any obvious stupid plays, but nonetheless, this was not felt deserved.
Try that one nurse perk I can’t remember the name of it off the top of my head but it’s the one that makes them louder, it honestly helped me learn spirit
hey tofu wht are some helpful thing u could tell me on how to be a better oni
18:45 LMFAOOOOOOOOO
I don't think you're bad at spirit but I like seeing the gameplay
Next is hag lol
how confident are you on billy. he has some tech and is fun to get good with. I think a billy boot camp would be fun to watch.
On RPD for the door stand off as killer if you know one survivor is on one side of the map that doesn't have a door. All you have to do is camp uptop and watch the main door also there is no way a survivor can get to the other door without you seeing them cut across the middle. If you know the map as well as I do then you know the middle is the only way to cross to the other side.
I honestly think it's not that you don't get Spirit, or don't know the tech or anything like that
It's might just be that you simply don't gel with Spirit.
Every player has a character or 2 they cannot play even if they "know" everything.

"Do you find camera in anime angles weird?"
"No. Why?"
Never see her.
If you want to watch his Plague bootcamp series where he grinds plague for a few hours 6 days a week go check it out over at twitch.tv/OhTofu c:
I feel like you didn't read the helpful comments from the first video
Tofu’s next series. Hag training camp! /s
I would love a video of you playing against a competitive team with spirit. It would be amazing.
They didn't mention it in any patch notes but they increased spirits chase music to compensate for players who sound whore.
So going after a survivor when the chase music is bumping is near impossible without running an EQ on your headset so most spirits are just really good at predicting survivor movements.
Still you're way better than most beginner spirits Tofu.
I'm pretty sure survivors hear where you are better than you can hear where they are… better nerf spirit again
15:17 she probably was trying to vault
Man you talk soo much , but gotta respect the skills you have …
WHOLE LOTTA ASS
You're a very good and experienced killer main, Spirit is a very strong killer. I think it's going to be difficult for you to really struggle just because your game knowledge is so high. I sort of categorize how good you are into separate compartments. Game knowledge, Killer Strength, Perks and Addons, and Killer Familiarity. You have thousands of hours of gameplay, you can't un-know what you know about the maps, survivor behavior, or how to play killer. You will only become more familiar with any given killer, so to improve you have to bring down thing category you do have control over, perks and addons. You gotta put yourself in a bad spot and struggle through it without getting bailed out by your perks. Force yourself to use the killer's specific strengths. That's kinda how I see it, but you are one of the content creators who have taught me the most about DBD, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.
as a spirit main myself it just takes time to get used to knowing the direction of where survivors footsteps are coming from if you can get use to that, survivors double backing wont be hard to know. but it was rough for me too spirit is just really sound heavy and takes a lot of time to get good with. like most things in life the more you play her the better you'll get at tracking and make better predictions
Also something that helped me is using your power as much as possible to get as much experience with it as you can
Yo, the rubber banding in this game is OUT OF CONTROL for way too long. It happens constantly when I play and I see it in everyone's videos now. Are they gonna fix that crap or what? Pathetic.
Kate was offering friendship ;.;
Spirit is not as fun as she was, playing her is kinda boring and suffering now.
For me it was a pain in the butt to learn how to listen, I've been playing her for a year and still have issues from time to time
as spirit main i just boost my volume to max lmao, i use MDR with the amulet and just have to listen to breathing bc most people use iron will, it takes so much time to master her fr
If you're looking to focus on improving your tracking by audio alone, I recommend burning a Coldwind offering, and any time you're in corn, close your eyes as you phase and try to get the hit. It's definitely lowkey throwing, but it's kinda fun in its own way lol maybe not the best for YT content, but maybe something to do on stream or something 🙂
Bread graduated today.
An idea for a new series (might be stupid), play on the worst and then best map for each killer and describe the effect it has on gameplay?
Tofu! Give yourself more credit. If you already have some skills that can help you when learning a new Killer… That's good! You'll learn the new skills by using your existing skills! 🙏!
Spirit is my favorite to play but man do I struggle half the time or more. I was initially using yellow speed and duration add-ons which felt fine but I ran low on them and have been using her brown add-ons (speed and phase start up) and man do they make her feel so hard to be successful with. And I do agree footsteps can be really tough to track properly. I'll think I'm right on top of them and come out swinging just to find out they're another 5 feet in front of me and out of range. Just gotta keep practicing I guess. Mother daughter ring go brrr though. Really fun add-on but I've still had some poor games with it.
I feel you use the grunts to get to the area they are, then use the sound of footsteps to pinpoint exactly where they are.
18:47 I’m fine with that
So that Jake in the first game, I played with him as a surv. His profile says the most entitled stuff ever. Not direct quotes as my German friend read it to me (his profile listed as private for me in the US)
"If you camp at 3-5 gens your trash"
"Your shit if you play like X but it's okay if you have a bad day/ toxic survs"
"Uninstall if you use self-care"
Etc. Oh and he did the same thing in my game as he did in yours.
My German friend went out of his way to sandbag him because he was so mad at the guys profile. I stayed far out of that lol
Ur really bad
Footsteps and sound in general echo on indoor maps which can take a bit to get used to. To answer your question, yes I did have the issue with sound when I was learning spirit, and sometimes still have it as I recently switched to a new headset where the sound is slightly different. That's another important thing you need to know about spirit, is once you get audio settings you like and are used to if at all possible DO NOT CHANGE them as you'll have to readjust to the sound
I remember how much trash talk I got when I played with spirit and didn't 4k. "You are trash even with the best killer in the game" and stuff like that.
