My long proposed BT change. gives 4 seconds of endurance after the unhook and a 150% haste status for 5 seconds
Survivor: "Hmm, I'll take advantage of this Perk's invincibility and rub my balls in the Killers face until they hit me."
Killer: Counts to 12
Survivor: "NOOOOOOO! YOU'RE BEING TOXIC! HOW DARE YOU COUNTER MY PLAYSTYLE!"
Dumb jokes aside, I've always seen the BT Body Block as a high risk, very little reward strat, and that's speaking as someone who does it. Now granted I don't body block the Killer or bait them into hitting me, but basically just play chicken and run past them if they're close enough, but therein lies the problem.
If the Killer has at least an elementary school education, they can just count to 12 while chasing me (because I'm not about to be a body blocking dick), or they can ignore and go for the rescuer, making my move somewhat pointless. In fact it would've been better to try and take a hit for the rescuer instead.
But lets say I body block. I whip out the juice crew and just start rubbing them on the Killers face, egging them to hit. Again, they can just count to 12, down me, and have me waste 12 seconds I could've spent either dragging them to a deserted corner of the map or moving myself to a gen or something.
But what happens if the Killer doesn't count and goes for either bait? Well they…have a an attack cooldown animation and I get a burst of speed at the cost of having to mend myself and being unable to stand still. Yeah, unless it's some sort of crazy clutch play that'll guarantee a gen pop, an escape, or buy time for a guy the Killer wants dead, it's not worth it.
Yeah it has happened to me before too, I was actualy laughing when they did do it and i thought to myself; are you sure you want to do that buddy! : , )
I think most people just do it because they see it as a free hit basically, so why not take a free hit rather then someone else going down or taking a injured state. That said yeah you definitely shouldn't do this ALL the time or go out of your way to do this and if you do you can't really complain about tunneling since you tunneled yourself. You had a free out and didn't take it. My teammates rarely have BT to begin with so yeah I just get farmed off hook because as you said your GONNA be the one the Killer targets 9 times out of 10.
The way I see it, if you block with BT, you clearly must want to be tunneled. After all, you’re stopping me from even being able to chase someone else. It’s stupid to complain about something you brought on yourself.
I always do my best and body block from bt unhook when I can, and it's sort of like, taking turns taking hits. I get hit and then im injured and sprinting away, and my guy with BT is following behind me, hopefully. Then he takes a bt hit, sprint bursts past me and gets in front of me, and hopefully we make it to safety or get out
Whenever someone does this to me I feel like my intellegence is being mocked
I haven’t even watched this vid yet but I know that I’m going to love it!
For me, sometimes I see a chases survivor run to the unhook and the unhooked came to my face instead of run away with no DS even, after I hook him again, I heavy tried to tunnel that guy and pos chat game is just why you don’t respect my BT… I cannot laugh harder… nevertheless I stop o playing for a bit
Against experience killers ofc this is a bad idea but you’d be surprised at how many killer still hit bt after unhooks. It’s not a bad thing to do but is situational if your killer is aware of what you are trying to do.
