If you needed Stridor to do well with Spirit, the nerf will make you a better Spirit by forcing you to use better perks.

Congratulations.

  1. Overall i don't see spirit gameplay being affected by this change. They need to do something about spirit herself rather than meta perks used on her because the main complaint about her is the lack of counterplay. Usually survivor complaints are just filled with salt and nonsense but this is actually legitimate. I feel spirit is just a lazier version of nurse; both killers with the highest 4k potential but spirit can do it with half the work. Nurse is regarded as the hardest killer to master. But once you do, you can start doing insane damage against survivors (coordinated swf or not). It is equally true that people have picked up spirit and achieve the same or similar results in FAR LESS time. Spirit suffers from Legion syndrome in the sense that she's incredibly fun to play, but really frustrating to deal with and a lot of people wanna dc because the only one actually having fun is you. If the devs could do something about spirit as a whole and not just mess with the perks people use then i feel that would be a healthy change to the game.

  2. I've used Stridor once, as Spirit, then discarded it forever. It found it to be a handicap as it messed-up with the expected distance of the survivors.
If survivors are happy with this, good for them. Incidentally they will not be able to complain about Spirit+Stridor anymore. They'll find something else though.

  3. Its obtained by nurse and used by spirit.
Thats a niche use and you can use you know, scratch marks, footsteps and bloodstains to track. And you have perks for scratches and blood too. Oooh noooo..

  4. TBH I like using Stridor on a lot of killers. I just don't use it often because I'm still in the process of leveling up a lot of my killers (I don't even use it on Spirit, the one killer everyone says it's good on), and I have all of them so the perk pools are large. That said, while I don't exactly enjoy the fact that one of my guilty pleasure perks is being nerfed, I understand it ultimately. I think it's kind of weird that a killer can just take a perk to negate one of your perks entirely. I imagine from a survivor's perspective running Iron Will that it would feel dumb bringing in a perk to be silent only to just not be silent. It would feel like a waste of a perk slot. I wouldn't really know because I don't run Iron Will other than maybe on really loud characters like Bill, but I still understand in the end.

  5. Stridor has always been useless to me but what I dont get is why are they leaving people without a counter to iron will? Fuck players who track by ear I guess. Iron will literally has zero downsides and its strong if the survivor knows weird immersive strats. Maybe to even the playing field they should increase bleed frequency or better yet have a heal speed decrease on themselves

  6. Wait so why stridor? It would have helped if anyone has a hearing problem next watch a perk i use bloodhound be nerfed because injured survivors couldn't escape as easy, it was to help people who have a hard time with certain things of the game or for newcomers to play around with sound but iron will that would be maybe used if you are sensitive to hearing but otherwise is used in any meta (btw calm spirit is more underrated) so how does stridor get nerfed?

  7. I disagree with that people who play stridor are not good at spirit, I face a lot of iron wills in my games so therefore I run stridor to get minor help . That’s like saying people who play stbfl on deathslinger are bad because they want a better recovery time imo.
