  1. This theory is debunked by the Chimetic Horde cosmetic, in which the description and the design shows there are FOUR specimens fused together as one.

And unfortunately Suzie did turn out pretty evil as suggested by the description on her Year of the Rat cosmetic. Which is dumb, I like her being more innocent till corrupted by Frank.

The Legion's lore is a mess at this point XD

  2. I suppose it’s also possible Susie and Joey were real in the real world, but weren’t taken by the entity because they weren’t suitable killers. Instead in the entity’s realm they’ve been replaced with shadow versions that fill out the Legion. Since the members that entered the fog fused into one body they wouldn’t notice if two of their group were replaced. Ironically this would give the entity an extra level of control over what is basically a group of anarchists.

  3. How about this, frank has split personality disorder. His mind created these personalities to protect him from the trauma of constantly being a foster child. Suzie is his shyness, his insecurities, his naive-ness, someone to relate to when his scared (child frank).
Julie, a girl he once knew, a girl he liked but never could get. He was lonely, he had no body, so in order to save himself from loneliness his mind broke into a personality, someone he can talk to, someone he can love.
Joey, a desire to be normal, have a job, live a normal life, but even his mind can't fake that, he knows he can't be normal, he can't live a normal life, so even his personality of a working guy can't even keep a job.
And that leaves Frank, a broken man, living alone in a broken down abandoned ski resort. All alone. Alone with his mind. Hell, maybe he's even high. With nothing to do, no life to live he uses drugs to make his life fun. And so frank was always high off his mind, lost in a world his mind created couple with the hallucinations of the drugs. So on that faithful day, frank off his mind he breaks into a store that his personality (joey) told him to go, and stabs a man. The man looks at what it seems to be a man wearing a mask, talking to himself in different pitches, different tones, like hes 3 different people. A cowardly voice , a startled voice, and a determined voice. Each one fighting with each other. And with each voice came with a stab. Frank finally snaps out of it realizing what he has done and leaves the store and back to the resort. Frank knows what he has done, but he still can't know for sure, he knows he lost his mind but doesn't care. They will find him, he will be taken for his crimes. He takes what drugs he has left and takes them all. He overdoses, and as his body slowing dies to the drugs killing his body he imagines a world, a world where he and his "friends" can do whatever they want, he smiles as his heart gives out.

  4. If Joey isn't real… Then… Why did they break into the store JOEY was fired from and use JOEY'S car to drive away? It doesn't really make much sense for him to not be real if he clearly is responsible for half that event, and having several physical references to their existence.

Suzie and Joey are just more stable, but after all their time following Frank it became their nature, they would follow him anywhere, even down the dark path he chose

  5. Weak theory until the end. Honestly I would only blame the inconsistencies and lack of more VA on BHVR being lazy.

Of course theories are usually made ignoring counter arguments on YT, so details against that like Joe and Sussie having their own “posture animations” and face models, and a lot of lore describing their individual personalities suddenly become meaningless

  6. Remember: It's pretty implied in their trailer that they were intended to be able to blend in with other survivors. That kind of ability would fit perfectly with this kind of lore.

  7. From what I remember, Susie was, like he said, very shy and rather lonely until she met Julie. Julie then started hanging out with Frank. Scared of losing her friend, Susie decides to join The Legion, first being very hesitant of doing what they do. If you read the description of some Legion items, you can see that Susie mostly steals stuff and doesn't want to kill anyone.

Why does The Legion only have two voices and Susie and Joey have no last names? Because BHVR is lazy as shit.
Why do Susie and Joey look so much different? Money. They both look pretty cool, so why would BHVR give that out for free.
Frank and Julie are the "face" of the Legion. Doesn't matter if you want to play as male or female. If it's a default, it represents the default Legion.

Are Susie and Joey real? Of course they are. If all four of them were just bloodthirsty killers, tagt would be boring. People can probably identify better, with the Leaders, the shy one and the one that just wants to chill, but fuck it let's light a house on fire.
And he read it himself in their lore, before the Entity took them. They were there. They aren't imaginary friends or something.

So go easy on the meds, bro lul
