I was able to get those new Killer meta perks on my Dredge plus about 100+ flans. Other than that the matches were pretty much identical to normal. I don't even know what the invitations did.
It sucks it only lasted 13 days cuz the other anniversaries lasted until july
I got 3000 Flan on my Dredgussy. Now, I'm P3'ing the rest of my killers.
Dude, I was away from DbD for 3 months when I jumped into the Anniversary event. I played for two nights. Every match was sweaty as hell. This Sweativersary either should have waited until the Perk changes took effect or been extended just so the whole event wasn't a locker room party. It effectively put me off from participating in the event until the Mid-Chapter update came out. I do agree with you on the lack of any real participation. Halloween was great, but this felt super lackluster with the "invitations".
The first blight event felt they were really trying, they gave survivors a 2nd objective besides gens and the killer games at red rank weren't as crazy cause the game was worse balance wise back then.
The bad part about it was that once survivors got the serum to get the cosmetics they'd killed themselves on hook and keep going the next game and people complained about 2nd objectives because they said it made people throw the game and it was a killer sided event and now we have events based on that feedback now imo survivors dont have to get off gens and there isn't much else but tap a button for a 2 sec interaction then do gens.
Great video just want to say thank you for all your content you make I can't always catch you on twitch with my weird work schedule but I always download your videos to watch offline in the gym! Thank you!
I got a lot of progress in terms of p3 for killers, unlocking teachables, and stacking items/flans. However, the event was hell for me. It literally took me 12 hours to get all the masks since 11 of them were earned via survivor gameplay
The emblem system wasn't as hard for me mostly cause Light bringer is the hardest for me because I'd have to run a full build just to have a high chance to not touch a gen
I thought it was neat tbh, but I haven't been playing dbd because of vhs so I didn't play it as long.
I played this event I got the invites and all the clothes from it and the rift event got the clothes from that I am still doing the normal rift but this event did feel a bit lacking not sure why though fully
It was all really just extra optional grind

I actually like this year's anniversary the masks are way cooler than those shoddy gold crowns and everyone playing hard made it a fun challenge until of course the God squads came out to play
I wanna know how many keyboards died from being waterlogged from all the sweat from this event. Matches were more sweaty then normal and the invitations were annoying to find with them teleporting around the map. The only good thing was the BloodRush they had with the Flan's so I would sometimes get like 150k BP for one match so that allowed me to level up quite a few of my characters.
For me the challenges were a drag. I wanted to get the dredge mask from the chapter 2 tome, but after the first community challenges I didn't want to do 10 sweaty matches, I wanted to at least P3 legion and I already got tons of W predrop sweatfests. I gave up the mask. After retail hours it was an hard pass.
Did people really have a hard time getting 2 gold's? I was using bbq and thrill of the hunt the entire event… I will say though, I can't tell you how many toolboxes and brand new parts I saw; it had to be everyother match there was at least 1 brand new part.
Can we get sum giant floating pumpkins or ghost blimps to jump into or like candy baskets to collect double xp
For me, as someone with mains that basically don't exist in the game anymore and never get event items, I really like that they used the method from the lunar new year of getting cosmetics this time, so I could play who I wanted and still get the event items. I also really liked the aesthetic of the event with all the blue and the outfits look nice. It was even nice having an extra tome to work on.
But those emblem challenges… dear lord. They should have at least just been a community goal that you didn't have to equip, it should just unlock as the community finished them and you could claim the reward once you did. Idk how many games of surv I played like an asshole, leaving asap and not saving people, killing myself on hook because it was impossible to get another emblem in that match, etc. And I was encouraged to do that because I needed 5 gold emblems for some of them but didn't have a lot of time. Why play out a game that won't give my challenge progress? That was miserable.
I do wish they had added something like the pumpkins though. I think everything aside from how people played was great, and better than the previous anniversary event. But it did feel a bit lacking if compared to the Halloween or Winter events.
I actually kind of found the Anniversary event rather chill? Though it might just be from me, I found that the presence of Flan, and how it benefits everyone flatly. It just, for me, added this air of "I can goof off. I dont really care if I get facecamped cause regardless I'm going to get a respectable BP payout." Which I think is pretty good. But the mask mechanic was 100% the worst part of the entire event. I think its NEAT, but not fun because you feel frustrated not only finding them, but when you get one, you have to pray that you dont get tunneled or die before the gates are powered on survivor. Super frustrating. But overall? I thought it was OK
I liked the event BECAUSE it was so sweaty. I finally went against some good teams and got plenty of practice on Spirit and Blight 😋
