  1. I audibly said "I'm sorry what" when I saw the caption💀💀

Kinda off but also on topic (it involves trans stuff) I'm starting T next week >:DDD

Edit: the unknown looks and sounds so cool what

  2. Honestly being an 8 foot tall incomprehensible eldritch being doesn't sound like that bad of a prospect.
In all seriousness this is kinda ridiculous it's a big spooky monster i doubt they hired a trans voice actor just to be transphobic

  3. Unless the game is blatant in being transphobic like naming the style something weird then I dont care. I dont think a trans person would voice act knowing good & well there is antitrans shit in the game. Use ur brain

  4. this controversy really gets under my skin, behaviour just wanted to make this character that is genderless to have multiple customisations to fit the user who may be playing them, or to dress them up however the user likes, it is purely for cosmetic, and the twitter users trying to get clout by claiming it looks like it hung itself and its beefing with the trans community is baffling, behaviour is more than supportive with the lgbtq community, they have added so many cosmetics that support the community and the company themselves are very pro lgbtq, its so sad seeing twitter users cry over nothing to try and ruin a good and honest company, yes they could have gone about the voice actor situation differently maybe but they did nothing wrong and are not a villain in this

  5. Gamers being toxic, cruel, and unintelligent? gasp How unexpected! Also The Unknown is Trans-Human in reverse… Its a formless entity trying to imitate human form as bait which is really cool.

  6. I expected this to be another """gamer""" take of using this drama and spinning it to shit on the lgbtq+ community with some dogwhistle-y "keep politics out of my vidya game" video but you're actually pretty level-headed. GG.

  7. I'm very confused, bh just wanted a genderless killer and everyone is up in arms about it? What about legion the point I've seen alot of people making is quite stupid, bh just wanted to bring back something that they stopped awhile ago with the last recorded case of it being with the legion, I find it quite stupid to be up in arms about something bc of a….cosmetic? If you don't like it don't use it.

  8. Wait until people realise that the entire point of the unknown is that it’s a totally inhuman beast that exists so far away from human existence that it would never ever even be consistent with any sort of human societal concepts like being trans. I’m trans, I’m glad that trans voice actors are being given the opportunity to voice more characters, especially from BHVR who are very considerate and respectful towards trans people and the LGBTQ+ community in general. In fact, I even bought the unknown’s skirt outfit just cus I think the unknown looks great with just his default head and the pink shirt and skirt on it 😂😂

And also you can’t even call this transphobia because all of the unknown skins are mutated and deformed, that’s the point of the character’s designs, it’s a deformed facade of a human being. You can’t call something transphobic when their reasoning applies to both the supposedly “trans character” and the other skins that you would then assume aren’t trans and are cis. It doesn’t specifically target trans people, it doesn’t treat them negatively or differently in comparison to cis people, so calling it transphobic is so utterly ridiculous.

I wish more people focused this kind of energy into actual transphobic shit that’s going on in society, there’s literal entire groups of people that dedicate their careers to mocking and shaming trans people, targeting and harassing them and making their lives a living hell. They profit off of actual real genuine unadulterated transphobia and yet people decide to focus on a video game that just… hires a trans voice actor? Didn’t realise giving trans people jobs was now transphobic 💀

  9. Idk why but this whole situation reminds me of a trans version of the "Orcs are racist, thing. Like why are you, a trans VA, looking at this monstrosity that YOU SIGNED UP FOR and thinking "Oh this eldrotch abomination is a trans person" HELLO? AM I GOING NUTS?

  10. Drama Alert aren't a news company. They're an independent outlet for Drama bloodsport.
Anyway, speaking as a trans creator myself, I really don't like having real world politics in my games. The presence of the flags in DBD bother me, but I get it. DBD isn't like Helldivers. It's not independent of our real-world timeline entirely. So I just deal with it. But this whole thing about The Unknown is baffling. The Unknown was born when someone got lynched, basically, it didn't hang itself. Then, it became the amalgamate concept of Identity Theft, stealing the identities of the people it kills. That's… that's not 'trans', these people are lunatics. On both sides.

  11. This eldritch horror that mimics voices of its victims, looks loosely human, and wear misshaped clothes is OBVIOUSLY a reflection of their voice actor. It’s NOT like Bhvr was just trying to make a really cool analog horror esque killer kinda relatable to The Thing seeing as to how mimics and shapeshifters are really popular rn. I mean anyone could TOTALLY tell Bhvr created this character with malice and was trying to mock trans people even though if this eldritch abomination had a gender identity it’d obviously be non-binary. (This is sarcasm in case you couldn’t tell. The Unknown is literally my favorite killer in the game rn because it’s fantastically done and this is the kinda shit we’ve been waiting on for so long from this game.)

Edit (not even 5 mins later): Look how much pride content is in the game and how Bhvr literally had drag queens playing dbd during pride month and continue to spew the nonsense

  12. Honestly people mad at Bhvr are delusional. The only thing they did wrong was the lack of communication with the girl that voice acted the unknown. Other than that they did nothing wrong and have been fully supportive. And its nothing new, they've been quite supportive over the years. The va didn't do anything wrong either, people are just assholes, assholes that will use any opportunity they have to spread hate. Them and the people who fuel the situation to get some sort of personal gain.

  13. This feels like the Ork situation with d and d. At first, Nobody said it looked like a deformed Trans person except the people who people who are made about it.
It's like they're making up their own injustices to get mad at.
Any sane person would instantly tell the unknown is supposed to be some sort of uncanny doppelganger type creature

  14. If you think Logically it's just a Female Skin The Unknown have 3 of them in total, eyeless lady, cheerleader and the other one i didn't know the name of.
The drama starts because of the Voice Actor being a cry baby about it, blaming the devs "they tricked me" and acts like a victim, that's the tea sis.

  15. As a trans person, I do not find any offense in the unknown being voiced by a trans person, because trans people are people. The person who made that awful transphobic joke is at fault. Not DBD. Its simply a fictional character.
Drama Alert should NOT be a news twitter account, it should not be a twitter account at all.

  16. Gotta love when people can’t understand that monsters don’t have a gender it’s just wearing people skins to impersonate them it’s why they gave it a male and female voice it’s not trans. It has no gender This is the most goofiest controversy I’ve ever seen in my life.

  17. Yeah personally, the biggest problem I had with this "controversy" is just the complete downplaying of how transphobic the DBD community is. There's so many comments (unsurprisingly mostly on twitter) saying shit like "if they really wanted to make it more like a trans person the Unknown should kill itself 50% of the games it loads into."
Obviously not an exact quote because I'm not going back to that hellsite to find what I'm talking about, but you get the idea, just trashy people saying trashy things and posting horrible memes.

  18. – some trans women have insane vocal range, so hiring a trans woman for a multi-voiced monster makes a lot of sense.
    – deformed monsters of ANY gender are insanely common in the horror community (obviously)
    – no mtf surgery would have an effect on the limbs/neck. the only surgery i can think of close to that is a phalloplasty for trans men that takes the skin off the arm/inner thigh for the 'shaft' which would give that 'skin too tight for body' look for a couple years, but that wouldn't elongate them
    this drama makes no sense
