If I had to rework this perk, I would just make it a very convenient chest perk and get rid of the generator portion entirely. Maybe it could give you 100% increased chest opening speed and instead of the 3 tokens being for a gen, you can consume them for an item of your choice. Push button A for a medkit, button B for a toolbox, button C for something random, etc. In other words, make this perk a better Appraisal lol. Or maybe the survivor can jump in and use the chest as a hiding spot like a locker. Maybe any item you get from a chest has a built-in Streetwise. Or maybe these ideas all suck. Still, it would be nice if chests could become more relevant again in DBD like what Sable did for the basement. I just don't know how though. Thank you if you read.

I was so confused how people had comments from 9 days ago then I realized they were channel members lol, but back on topic idt this perk will actually pop up a lot, kinda like Weaving Spiders i never actually see be used, but that doesn’t mean it’s not an issue, i think it’ll be changed by the time this goes live, but even if it doesn’t everyone is gonna be running OTR, DS, Iron Will, and Dead Hard/Distortion anyway, even as is this perk just won’t be interesting enough to be meta, same thing with Babysitter, yeah it’s a good perk to bring now, possibly too good, but in all reality who’s actually gonna bring that perk in Solo Q over the meta perks, both perks might show up in SWF’s but that’s pretty much it, solo q survivors are too worried about bringing perks to protect themselves, that’s the difference between SWF and Solo Q, SWF plays as a team and Solo Q doesn’t, and that’s why SWF does better, cuz they actually play how they’re supposed to lol

My main problem with the perk is that it just doesn't relate well with lara so here's what the perk should do. After completing a total of ome generator, this perk activates. When you're within 20 meters of a completed generator, all of your actions are 100% quiet and missing a skill check doesn't make a noise notification.
This would make the perk more fitting for Lara and will ensure that the perk isn't overall busted whilst it can't be used everywhere.
Let’s not forget that gen regression perks also got nerfed recently.
So what are killers meant to do now? If you run an aura build you run into distortion which I run into much more often than I used to, Gen regression? Well now this exists. Slugging/camping, Well hooks regen now thank god but now you don’t have an excuse for toxic survivor players calling you out, Oh and you can’t camp anymore. Wanna do chase? Well survivors already have a lot for this and the moment you do kill someone they can get flashlight saved EASILY instead of the skill it used to take. As a killer you kind of just have to hope they screw up now or that you have a very strong build for catching players.
This is why I have the option that gen perks should not stack. Them specifically. BHVR can’t balance gens properly with the massive difference between gen perks and no gen perks. It messes with their data. Make them like exhaustion perks, where they don’t work together well. For both sides.

It doesnt need a rework, you, silly. Its a tool to make 3-gen situation easier, and not to make gen rush easier. You just spend some time on searching for chest instead of giving a defensive killer free hooks and than "boom" – perk value.
Don't know why the devs can't add mechanics and perks that naturally prolong a match, instead of end it ASAP.
I don’t think it would be too much of a problem. Yes, you can’t regress the 8%, but you can still regress the other progress on that generator.
The good thing about Gen Defense Perks is that they waste the survivors’ time, and they do it when they regress generators. However, with this perk, survivors get permanent progress. But, as you said, they also waste time, so you waste time to not waste time. And then there is the number – I think we can all do math – when you do this three times, you have already wasted 12 seconds. That’s more than a Jolt, and this perk can still damage the rest of the generator, so it’s not completely useless. So it’s not Gen Rush; it’s slower but safer progress, and this “slower” is the problem. You are already wasting time to get these stacks and put them on a generator.
This perk has a mechanic that is only used on BNPs, so we need to see what BHVR will do with it and what they do with the perk.
There's a reason comp bans duplicate perks and items, strong addons like BNP, and sometimes certain gen speed perks altogether. Nobody is impressed if you can do gens quickly, that's by far the easiest part of the game. The important part is how you actually interact with your opponent and the rest of your team.
DBD is way 2 survivor sided with all survivors having the same perks and generators being repaired to quickly also if all the survivors have the endurance status effect the killers waste more time trying to down one survivor.

You spend time to finding a chest and open, rummaging 10-20s still need counterplay
My biggest fear is, BHVR and overnerfing.
Well on the bright side, the singular hoarder user is probably euphoric rn. Jokes aside, didn't think much at first cause of the raw numbers but all these charge removal perks are getting out of hand

Yeah, Im not looking forward to this. Not only are killer just going to bring Quad Slowdown just in an attempt at being allowed to play the game, theyre also going to be Nurse, Blight, Huntress, Wesker or basically anyone who can cover ground quickly and pressure TF out of gens.
We're also going to see more slugging at 5-4 gens and insane tunnelling.
As a killer main who likes to play "wraker" killers, this isnt going to be fun.

The biggest issue with Specialist is that it can be used Multiple times on the same generator, by the same person, and there is no real downside to the perk. It is effectively a better Brand New Part and it stacks with Brand New Part.
There can be 11 chests in a match if the survivors bring the Shiny Coin Offering, you can get more than three rummages in a match (Appraisal has doesn't consume a token until all other rummage perks are used). So, let's say that all Survivors bring Specialist, Appraisal, and one of the other rummage perk. (this is assuming that killer don't bring the Twin's perk that adds 2 more or the 8th Anniversary Cake that adds 1).
So, you have 11 chests each granting a token, plus 12 rummages each granting a token. That is 4 x 23 tokens or 92 seconds being able to be completely removed without factoring in BNP or Weaving Spiders. If everyone brings BNP and one person brings Weaving Spiders, they can take 90 more seconds off for gen completion (depending on when weaving Spiders is complete). Effectively, you can get two generators worth of progress that cannot be removed.
There is no real good counter to this. The only thing I can think of is that is we are going to see a lot more killers running Weave Attunement and Franklin's to attempt to counter this as survivors will have to be grabbing items out of chests and bring toolboxes.
So yes, i got where you getting at: It's called "entitled". So my fellow Killer Main friend: yes, it's a nerf to slowdown perks, which are the strongest thing in the already very Killer sided Game, so what's the matter? "That 4 People can have it" oh yes.. very hot news that a coordinated 4 man swf can outplay you if they use all the game is giving them.

This is gonna encourage killers more to just slug and tunnel. And that is ALREADY a big problem
I get it when they slug, tunnel and camp out of desperation when there's not enough hooks in with too many gens popped but the amount of ESPECIALLY wraith, knight and clown players I came across who load in and immediately begin slugging and tunneling are outrageous
And with this it's only getting worse mark my words.
