  1. Man, this kind of bums me out. Not that the current characters are bad but the originals just seem so much more… Culturally relevant? Especially the Wraith. The Doctor is kind of the same character placed in a different culture that may also fit it, the Wraith just kind of… Doesn't fit his own environment, and the original concept seemed sooo much cooler.
But it's also a bummer chinese people got promised a chapter and he got changed out of the blue, and there's still no chinese killer in the game. Just kind of a 😔 all around.

  2. 3:30 Oh boy if only Steve were a joke character in smash…the community unironically requested him for years, and ever since he was released people have started to realize how fuckin broken he is. Now he's dominating all tournaments including majors and people are starting to hate him so much. And what sucks even more is that all the community can do is sit back and watch as Steve becomes more and more of a problem because Nintendo isn't working on it anymore. The last balance patch was a year ago and there's never going to be another.

  3. Fun fact: the chinese "psychiatrist" yang yongxin still practices today, ruining a bunch of teen's life. The chinese community still spites him but he isn't going anywhere soon. The education system in China makes Chinese families and parents bound to hating video games.

  4. I think it was mainly a legal issue. Basing a character so closely to a real life person likely opens up Behaviour to a ton of potential lawsuits, regardless what the guy did. Although I do wonder if there was any pressure from China to not have a Chinese killer. We still don't have one, but we have two from Japan and one from South Korea.

  5. The doctor being somewhat based on a real person also opened future chapters to that; while a lot of early killers were based on fiction slashers, Doctor, Clown, Ghostface, and Artist are all at least partially based on real people.
