  1. Trapper is byfar the best killer in this new mode. His map presence is imence and if you stop them from doing a lot of gen in areas like that house on auto haven variant map then u basically win. Huntress is a staple but is balanced. Nurse is beyond broken but ppl just can’t use her for whatever reason. Everyone else is balanced.

    This mode is nice because it’s basically a 50/50 if you escape not a 80/20 20 being the escape rate of survivors normally and in solo que. Games fun to play but it starts to weigh on you when you realize you got tunneled out for the pat 10 games and haven’t escaped ONCE. Meanwhile playing killer is quite literally a cake walk if you just run devour hope. Or if you play clown trickster or vecna. The most brainless killers in the game. Even 4 anti tunnel perks can’t get you an escape in solo que.

  2. I agree that 2v8 should not have an impact on the base game, but I think it should become a permanent fixture in dead by daylights game modes. If it went away but came back with PTB's to get feedback on having more selectable killers and skills before making a full permanent release it would atleast give me a reason to actually want to play the PTB's more than "hey look, I can try the new killer, after grinding blood points on other killers so that I can actually make a build". 2v8 is exactly what I want in DBD and I am going to be incredibly sad when it goes.

  3. 2v8? Feels more like 4v6 honestly

    I had a game where MULTIPLE chases a dwight just slow vaulted a vault i needed while i was in chase and he wasn't which resulted in me being forced to take a hit (even though he was healthy, not in chase, and not bothering to work on a gen). The wraith was there for it both times and felt bad letting me go to chase again later. The wraith was really nice. Later on i went to take a hit for a feng to help her survive and what does she do? She ACTIVELY takes the worst pathing possible vaulting into the killers path making it harder to take a hit for her. By the time she comes out of shack i take the long curve so she can hug the wall and get in front of me quicker only for her to see me, quickly change her pathing which i had left open for her, and run directly into me letting the trapper hit her instead of letting me go behind her to take a hit for her. . .

    The solo q players in 2v8 are just as bad as in the main game mode and it honestly hurts sometimes.

    But what if every two weeks it’s new mode
    Like taking turns with modes
    2v8, no lights, my little Oni and then in circle again

  5. BHVR would be foolish to not keep the hook spawning mechanic. It totally negates camping. Just have it disable when all gens are powered so you guarantee a kill if you need to at the end. So much of DBD is a frustration in solo queue with proxy camping and killers returning to hooks after saves and tunnelling. The spawning idea improves that so much.

  6. I'm having an absolute blast with this mode, both roles have so much of the pressure taken off and its all so gloriously chaotic. It just needs some more maps and killers. I get that some killer powers would be a real headache to adapt, like Freddy and Xeno, but I can't imagine Spirit, Slinger, Demo, Clown and Hag would need much tweaking. As for maps, maybe the original big RPD? If they could find a spot for a 3rd gate that is.

  7. Me when the wraith can camp the hook while cloaked, and teleports me when when my teammate is about to unhook me and I die. But in all seriousness, I loved 2v8 in all of its messy glory.

  8. I do hope that this stays as it's own game mode but what I am really hoping for is that this is a test to see about adding a killer to the base game that is truly 2 in 1 a lit of stuff would need to change Stat wise to make it balance but I've always loved the idea.

  9. I will say the yellow-red cages stages arent a flawless description of effort and value. For example, trapper might not down and cage people often but if you hear a trap snap every 30 seconds or so, you know they are keeping people injured, busy, and your job easier.
